Threats & Synergies
Quinn
Accept deafeat, let the Quinn push so you can farm under tower and pray for a gank from the jungler in order for you to 2v1 her and hopefully kill her.
Wukong
If you go against a decent Wukong you will have a bad time killing him or even surviving agaist him. I reccomend you to take Aftershock so whenever he tries to jump on you, you just E (Aftershock activates) and trade AA, W and walk away.
Riven
Like Wukong, whenever she jumps on you, use your E (Aftershock activates) then AA W and walk away. If you try to fight either her or Wukong without Aftershock you will die 100%
Akali
Going Phase Rush against Akali will save your butt many times. Wait for her to press W during a trade then activate Phae Rush and walk away. Rush Hexdrinker on this matchup.
Rumble
Rumble is secret OP because he slows you, pokes you and eventually kills you. Take Phase Rush and walk away once it activates. Rush Hexdrinker on this matchup.
Olaf
Olaf is a god. You will never see him in the top lane but that one time you are against him you will not like this game at all. If you try to trade him away from your tower, he will heal back his missing health, he will chase to your tower and might even kill you. You need to respect him forever. The only time you will have a chance to kill him is only if his wave is really close to your tower and you pull him in and take him down with the help of the tower. Also once he hits lv6 you lose no matter what ou do. The only reason why he is not a LV6 threat is because you will never play against him in the top lane.
Kennen
Kennen does not post a big threat but he cannot kill you and you cannot kill him. If he gets too cocky and uses his E to clear a wave or whatever or if you get a nice cheese and sit in a brush and wait for him to use his E then you can all-in him and kill him, simple. Be carefull when he hits lv6 because he can stun you for infinity and eventually kill you with ease.
Gangplank
This lane is not extremely hard but is extremely boring and GP is a big pain in the ass during lane phse. A good GP is anoyingly patient and will never waste his barrel. If you even dream of geting cs you will get barreled, you will get Qed, you will get AAed and eventually all-ined and killed if the GP takes ignite. At the begginig of the game concider going to tribush with W and wait for him to come back to his lane so you can give him a bad start and he might evem havr to go back after that and you get free cs. Alternatively you can poke him down with Q during the lane phase before he hits lv2 so you have a health advantage. Take Phase Rush and if you get barreled and ulted he is just going to die. The only problem is that his passive deals true damage and his E ignores armor so you need to become one tanky sob (plated steelcaps, stridebreaker, sterak's gage)
Yorick
Yorick is not hard to beat early. Once Yorick gets lv6 you need to be more carefull because if he traps you in his wall you are basically dead. So buy a Doran's Blade and bully him non-stop before he hits lv6. Don't even let him think of taking cs because if you let hi farm he will get 3 graves, he will bring 3 ghouls and he is going to shoot them on you and he is going to keep poking you out. Lv2 you grab E, lv3 you grab Q and zone him so he doeasn;t even get exp and once he tries to farm you show him who's boss.
Jayce
A decent Jayce player with chill in and out of the brush and continuously poke you. You will have to respect a Jayce with Conqueror because he can one-shot you no matter what. So just start with Q, rush Plated Steelcaps and chill with Doran's Shield. Nine tomes out of ten every Jayxe will push you under tower so just farm under the tower, recall and you will be fine. During champion selection, if you think you can survive this matchup take teleport and that will help. If Jayce ever switches from hammer form to gun form you have a chance of taking his flash or killing him if he is pretty low. Low elo Jayce players will use Q, ult, hammer Q then E you away and when that happens you can use your E and it will cancel his E.
Teemo
You have to accept that he is going to be anoying for a little while. Rush Mercury's Treads IF it makes sense for the enemy team. I f it doesn't rush Hexdrinker then once you get Stridebreaker it's over for him. Get a red trinket and a controll ward and every time he goes near you to AA, you will use your E and while AA, W while he is airborne and the walk with him towards his tower and just AA, AA, W and once he flashes you Q him and then he dies.
Malphite
Malphite is an anoying lane opponent sue to the slows but his mana runs out pretty quickly if he decides to poke you and he is garbage pre lv6. All you need to do is freeze on him and he can do nothing, there is no universe in wich he kills you before lv6.
Heimerdinger
All you need to do against Heimerdinger is dodge his grenade and don't stand near him if your lane looks like a military base. You can rush Mercury's Treads if it makes sence for the enemy team or Hexdrinker.
Ryze
Ryze i preatty garbage pre lv6. Typically he will have Phase Rush and do his little combo and run away. If you ever manage to E him then he dies. You simpl just freeze and whenever he comes to Q a minion you E him, use ghost and he's dead.
Kayle
Nine out of ten games that you will go against a Kayle player he will most likely be a one-trick or have a million mastery points. Kayle players will not let you kill them for free. Concider getting Phase Rush for this matchup. Zone her away from minions and once she hits lv6 all you need to do is get a good scheese off of her if he tries to kite you you can activate Phase Rush and chase her and maybe get her ult or flash ar even kill her.
Fiora
Fiora is a tough opponent but winable. She will constantly try to go for your vitals with her Q. Let's say that you have a vital in your left you must go to the same direction as the vital and if she doesn't land her Q on the vital then she wil have to walk around you and you just have to walk with her so she doesn't pass you. I know this will sound dtupid but the only way to dodge her W is to not ge thit my it. Even if you waste your ult on her W as long asyou don't get hit by her W you are fine. Also every time she uses her ultimate you have to tun next to a wall and never leave that wall so she doesn't get her heall off and just AA, W her.
Gnar
Gnar is so good in this meta because his mega Gnar is so broken. Whenever he goes for a last hit you can Q him. Remember, every time he jumps on he will also jump behind you so you can use your E behind you to pull him and he's giong to get super tilted and it's hilarious. Just don't fight him in his mega form anf you're good.
Shen
Shen is extremely OP but you won't see him in elos below gold or ever platinum. You need to respect his enhanced AA. Shen will try to Q through you then get his enhanced AA in you. If he gets you with his E, AA, Q, AA, AA he will always win the trades. His lv3 power spike is even greater that Garen's because his W negates every AA including your W. Once he uses his W, you need to walk out, pull him out of his W's radius and then proceed with your AA, W combo. The only time you can kill him is if he wastes his E and his W, all-in him and he's dead.
Mordekaiser
Think of Mordekaiser as the AP version of you. You HAVE to dodge his single target Q or else you die. The moment he uses his Q to hit only you, activate ghost and run around like a madman while getting your 5 stacks on him. Also if he ults you and hits you with his Q you are 100% dead.
Renekton
Th eonly time Renekton is strong is when he has 50 or more fury. If he has less than that fight him, he cannot kill you. Never leash the jungler if you have a Renekton top or else by the time you get to top lane he might even have 100 fury and he will most likely get the first blood. A lv3 Renekton will do his little E, AA, W, Q, E and you will not be able to react and he wins the trade. Never lead a trade with Q. The only time that you can successfully land a Q is when he is running away from you with no E or you E and Q combo really quickly. If he watses either his W or his Q you can fight him and even all-in him and kill him.
Volibear
All you need to do is avoid getting hit ny his lightning before lv6 or else you die. However if you manage to get 3 stacks with a quick combo you can just use ghost and kill him with ease. After lv6 you will have to respect him because he becomes much harder to kill and he has higher chances of killing you.
Jax
Jax will try to activate his Q to dodge the blade of your Q and his E to dodge your W and all incoming AA. You need to bait his Q before you use yours. If he decides to Q on to you, you just have to E, ghost away to dodge his stun and run straight at him and you win 100%. If you get a 1-2 kill lead the lane is over.
Garen
Believe it or not, Garen can dominate you even if Darius is superior early because whenever you use your Q a good Garen will use his to run full speed at you, silence you then spin and walk away. Even is you use your Q and your W successfully he will use his W and regen back to full health with his passive. Also 95% of the time Garen will have ignite so be carefull with your health because once he hits lv6 he will just Q, E. ignite, ult and then you die 100%. You need to respect his lv3 power spike and every time he tries to get a last hit you can pull out a sneaky AA, W, Q on him and you win the trade. Garen thrives on going for those really short AA, Q trades so if you manage to get him in a really long, trade and land your Q properly then you win 100%.
Tryndamere
In order for Tryndamere to become a beast early is to stack up his rage bar. All ou have to do is get a Doran;s Blade and W start and every time he even thinks of attacking your minions you AA, W him and fight him. He will look to stack his rage once you recall, you can use it to your advantage so after you recall his minions will most likely be under your tower so you can freeze on him, his rage will go down and yo can start trading hi mand even kill him. Another thing Tryndamere will do is AA then spin away and deal damage while spining. In this situation you can AA, E him and counter his dash then trade a little bit with your W and your Q then walk away and you won that trade.
Ornn
Ornn is not a difficult lane opponent, he is just anoying and boring because all he is going to do is push a little bit, go back to his tower, buy items and come back stronger while you are sitting there with your first item. The only reason he is not a lv3 threat is because there is no universe in wich you kill him or he kills you. You need to respect his lv3 huge power spike and his easy-to-pull combo with his enhanced AA and knockup. If you let him land that combo you will most likely survuve with 10 hp. If you are ever over extended against this guy, you will get ganked and you will get killed.
Camille
Camile is actually a preatty easy lane to beat. All you have to do is let her AA you to ge ther shield up in your minion wave and once her passive is on cooldown you can trade her. Don't let her use her Q or her W on you for free. Once he tries to use her E on the wall you can use your E the moment her hook touches the wall and your pull will be registered and she will not go to the wall. Whenever she W you, you need to Q her. Always remember to stand in the middle of the lane because if you stand on either side of the lane she will get an instant stun in you and Q you for true damage and one-shot you. After you kill her you can reset and freeze the lane and it's over.
Kled
Kled's kit has a built in GA and it's pretty much impossible to kill him. Also it;s really hard to hit him with the blade of your Q because he has 2 dashes. His W has huge cooldown so once he uses it to farm you have an opportunity to get him off of his chicken and you can then all-in him to kill him.
Nasus
NEVER push your minions under his tower, NEVER let him farm for free, after your recall for example, and ALWAYS freeze the lane, reset and freeze again. Nasus pre lv6 is garbage against a Darius. If you let him farm even a little, he will come back to lane with Sheen, Ionian Boots and once he activates his R he has like 100 armor and a ton of hp and you cannot kill him no matter what. So, before lv6, even if he dreams of getting farm you punish him with AA, W, AA etc. If he manages to kill you once or twice or if you allowed him to get farm for free the game is lost. Be carefull not to get to cocky and killed because you where too over-extended.
Irelia
NEVER EVER fight Irelia with 6 stack or you loose 100%. Also always dodge her E and a good way of doing so is: run towards her dor 1 second then go to either your left or your right and you succesfully dodge her E. This matchup is impossible to beat is you don't rush Bramble Vest even if you are ahead of her because her healling is so extraordinary with her maxed stacks.
Aatrox
Just dodge his skillshots and you will be fine. 90% of the time Aatrox will use: Q, Q-E, Q, AA and if he manages to pull off that combo you are dead. Once he uses his 2nd Q, you can E, AA, W, ghost immediately because you will have 3 stacks on him and he will not be able to hit his 3rd Q because of his slow and you will have ghost and movement speed to run far enough so he won't hit you with his 3rd Q even if he flashes, then you all-in him and he dies. After lv6 if you don't have a Bramble Vest or an Executioner's Calling he is giong to run full speed at you and heal through everything that you throw at him especialy if he lands his Q properly.
Vladimir
Vladimir will never evr let you kill him before lv6 because he isn't dumb. If Vladimir ever dreams of usin ghis Q on a minion just E him and walk with him to his tower but use your Q after he uses his pool and he dies. Just respect his power later on in the game, he is going to be a huge problem.
Urgot
This matchup is a game called "Dodge Urgot's E". If you get hit by his E, he will get a fat shield, CC you for enough time for him to hit you with his shotgun legs and you will die a harsh death. Whe he misses a Q you can E, AA, W him and the moment you do that he will smash his E key so all you need to do is walk with your Q to either you left or your right and he will miss his E and you can all-in him and kill him. Serpent's Fang is a good option to counter his shield.
Rengar
Respect his lv2 lane harassment because he can jump either on a minion to last hit and hide backin a bush or jump on you to fight you and run away. Once you reach lv3 the lane is now yours. Once he jumps on you, you can AA, W and if he continues to fight you or if he tries to run away you canthen use your E and Q, ghost and he is dead. Plated Steelcaps and Bramble Vest are nice options to counter his healing.
Illaoi
Illaoi currently is one of the most useless champions in the entire game. Before lv6 you win no matter what, even if she lands her E. After lv6 all you have to do is dodge her E.if you dodge her E she dies if you don't then you die. Simple as that.
Sion
Sion is an amazing lane for Darius. The moment he tries to charge his Q you can just pull him and he can't do a thing.
Singed
You can all-in Singed lv1 because: 1) his Q deals no damage (yet) and 2) you have an enhanced AA, a slow and Doran's Blade for this matchup. Whe he reches lv and tries to fling you, before his fling activates you can W him and because he is now slowed he sill noy be out of your Apprehend's range so just pull him, ghost and kill him.
Poppy
If Poppy even thinks of killing a minion you can kill her, there is nothing she can do. Stay away from walls to avoid her stun and you are good to go.
Maokai
Not a threat to Darius top lane. Don't even worry.
Dr. Mundo
Give me a break. What is he going to do? Like literally. If he wastes his R just dive him and you won the game.
Cho'Gath
If you run full speed at Cho'Gath he will use his Q on top if him so just run either to you left or to your right and you are goo. Now a Cho'Gath after lv6, a coule of R stacks and maybe oen or two items is unkillable, he will always run away with 10 hp and it's the most annoying thing ever. Honestly just don't try to fight him at that point he is not worth your time.
Twisted Fate
TF will help you can your 5 stack easier wich is the best thing you could ask from somebody. Due to his guaranteed stun on the enemies.
Annie
Annie's great because she can get AoE lockdown with her ult, and oftentimes late her combo will put other squishies at just low enough HP for us to dunk them with 0 stacks and suddenly have Noxian Might for free.
Zilean
Zilean can help you get anough time to get your five stacks with his crazy ammount of damage and cc.
Yasuo
Yasuo's R can only be activated on airborned opponents. Your E can help him use his R and you can get an amazing lv6 Yasuo roam top and get a couple of plates. The only reason Yasuo is a lv4 synergy is that your E can only catch like 2 people at the same time.
Lux
I like having a Lux. If she lands that binding, it gives me time to reach that person, keep them locked down and S L A M.
Ivern
Ivern can secure a kill for you because he can make you jump on to snared opponents and kill them with ease.
Skarner
Skarner will zoom on your opponent, catch them and bring them owards you to kill them.
Azir
Azir can inly help you with his R to bring a couple of enemies near you to dunk them.
Anivia
Anivia can help you with her wall so that nobody runs away from you.
Tahm Kench
He can be a great huge gap closer for late game chases.
