Tristana Passive Ability
Introduction
// Hello Guys, My name is Hefestus and welcome to my first guide in Mobafire, Golden Tristana! With all the hype around the blue Ezreal build, I decided to start looking for other alternative builds that would fit some champions really well. Then I created this build, that in my personal opinion, and after further testing, works great with Tristana, granting you great physical damage with your autohits, and also with your abilities, that have ridiculous scaling with Ability Power. I hope this guide will be of your apreciation, and if you any feedback whatsoever please make a comment saying what i need to change or implement. So without further ado, here's Golden Tristana, an Hybrid guide to Victory! // SPECIAL THANKS: Credits to jhoijhoi for the template, which you can find here. |
Pros
+ Longest Autohit Range in the Game at Level 18 + Pretty Strong Early Game + Good Burst Damage + Explosive Shot Reduces Hhealing Effects (counter to supports like Soraka, Nami or Nidalee) + Great Farmer and Pusher + Insane Scaling with AP |
Cons
- Mid Game not soo good if not fed - Build is Quite Expensive - Buster Shot Requires Practice and Can Help Enemies Excape If Poorly Used - If not Played Right, Can Push The Lane Too Much, Becoming Vulnerable To Enemy Ganks and Difficulting Ally Ganks - In Teamfights, Rocket Jump Requires Good Use, Poor Use will Result in Bad Positioning and Probable Death |
// Standard ADC Masteries, this will get you nice stats early on. In the Offensive Tree we take 21 points, focusing on maximum damage,(AD, AS, Armor Pen). You can also take points in Sorcery if you think you need to spam your abilities a bit more, or some points in AP masteries to maximise your hybridness. |
Runes
- greater mark of armor penetration: // These will grant a really great amount of armor penetration, resulting in a quite significant increase of your damage. You could also choose to take Greater Mark of Attack Damage, but i prefer going for some Armor Pen in the marks and going for AD in the Quints.
- Greater Seal of Armor: //Pretty standard in the bot lane since there's another ADC you want to have a bit of armor to counter their autohits.
- Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: //Again, pretty standard to defend yourself from magic damage.
- Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: //Need no big explaining, I'd take these with every ADC, they're simply great because they grant you damage, what more would you want aside from DAMAGE?
Barrier: // My first choice for ADC in season 3, this will save you countless times, specially useful whem enemies recklessly tower dive you or when they pop that final Ignite, can also be pretty useful for surviving abilities like Requiem or Death Mark. |
Flash: // Most standard spell in the game. You take this in almost every champion, it's just that good. Excelent excape tool or gap closer. |
Ignite: // Can be pretty powerful on Tristana to finish off enemies after combo'ing them down. |
-
Draw a Bead: Increases Tristana's attack range by 9 every time she levels. At level 18, Tristana has 153 bonus range on her autoattacks and her Explosive Shot (703 maximum range).
// I find this passive very useful and it's what defines Tristana, making her a late game monster. With the range you get from this passive you can autohit enemies from a really long distance, making you a poking machine and staying at a safe distance.
-
Rapid Fire (Q): Increases Tristana's attack speed by 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90% for 7 seconds.
// This is really, really useful on Tristana, granting great burst, poking and farming potential. I get this ability at level 3, even though it wont serve that well early game. Like everyone of Tristana's abilities try to not spam it because of your low mana pool.
-
Rocket Jump (W) Tristana fires at the ground to propel herself to target location, dealing 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+80% of ability power) magic damage and slowing surrounding units by 60% for 2.5 seconds when she lands. On a champion kill or assist, Rocket Jump's cooldown resets.
// Arguably one of the best gap closers/excapes of the game. It scales with AP,so early game it wont deal much damage, but its a great engaging ability and synergizes well with your ability kit. Max it last but spend some points early.
-
Explosive Shot (E): Passive: Enemies explode when slain by Tristana's basic attacks, dealing 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+25% of ability power) magic damage to nearby enemies.
Active: Explosive Shot rends the target enemy, reducing healing and health regeneration by 50% and dealing 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 / 270 (+100% of ability power) magic damage over 5 seconds.
// Your built-in Ignite. I max it first, it grants you insane harass in lane and is your main skill on Tristana.
-
Buster Shot (R): Tristana fires a massive cannonball at an enemy unit. This deals 300 / 400 / 500 (+150% of ability power) magic damage and knocks surrounding units back 600 / 800 / 1000 distance
// Amazing ult if used correctly, you can knock an enemy back a huge distance and put in the middle of your allies. If used porrly can help an enemy get away. It also has ridiculous scaling with AP (150& O.O) that allows you to just build a bit of AP (like in this build) and still do massive damage. Also it has a slightly low cooldown.
// Not much to explain here, I usually max Explosive Shot first for max harass and damage in lane, then Rapid Fire because it's very useful throughout the whole game, and i max Rocket Jump last, because it's more for utility purposes early on and only late game when you get you're AP items will it do some decent damage. |
Item Sequence
// Best boots for most ADC, get these early on in order to get some attack speed and farm easier. End game you can enchant them with Enchantment: Homeguard or Enchantment: Furor |
// First main item of your build, when you can (first back regularly) buy Sheen to boost your damage in the lane, Then move on to Zeal and then finish Trinity Force, the on-hit effect of Sheen and Phage will be very effective with your autoattacks and ability kit overall. |
// Will grant you some nice atack speed and crit change and also passive that will melt minion waves and groups of enemies. |
// This is will increase your damage for a huge amount. Try to buy B. F. Sword first and then finish the item. Infinity Edge will greatly increase your crit change and AD and will be very useful due to your long autohit range. |
// This item synergizes very well with hybrid builds because it will increase both your AP and your AD. The passive will be very useful for refilling your health a bit when things get trickier. |
// Final item of the build, will greatly increase your AP, Atack Speed and Cooldown Reduction. It will also boost your autohits with it's second passive. You can get this before Guinsoo's Rageblade if you prefer. |
// Early Game: Try to farm. This build is quite expensive, your aim should inicially be to farm, farm, farm. Of course if you see a good oportunity you should engage with your support and try to get a kill or two in order to further sustain the gold requirements of this build. Be careful with enemy ganks even if you can usually excape with Rocket Jump and try not to push your lane too much or destroy turret very early // Mid Game: Phase of the game when Tristana is weaker. Again try to farm and stay back during teamfights, good positioning is crutial so you can spam your autohits and abilities whilst staying safe. // Late Game: You should be a monster in this phase. If you've gotten slightly fed you should be able to drop just about anyone. Still don't forget farming until you complete your build. In teamfights it should be easy to stay distant because your range is now insanely long, if you need to reposotion, Rocket Jump is a good tool. |
// That's all Folks! Hope you enjoyed the guide, hopefully you tryed this build and hopefully it got you as good resuts as it got me. If it did or if you like this guide by itself I would greatly appreciate an upvote, and please dont downvote unless you think it's absolutely necessary. I would also appreciate some feedback in the comments, telling me what isn't that good or what I should implement next. Chapters to come if this guide lives: Combos, Supports, Counters, Scores and many more! // SPECIAL THANKS: Credits to jhoijhoi for the template, which you can find here. |
