Hello everyone I`m gangstergaschde.

I play lol since the 1st of April 2012.

I am from Switzerland, so excuse my english ;D

My main position is Toplane, but I also play a lot ADC.

Yorick was my first big purchase and i play him nearly as long as I play lol. He s my number 1 choice in ranked.

This is my first build on MOBAFIRE, so I look forward to reading your Feedback. Please keep in mind that the purpose of this guide is not a nice look, but good information on how to rule a game with Yorick.

PS. Read notes, I dont write anything more about runes/masteries/skills/items. The informaton you find there may be very helpful and make you understand my decisions

Yorick is one of the easiest to play toplaners, why still being fun to play and being viable.

Your most important spell is your E. When maxed first it deals significant damage and heals you insanely well.

A lot of people complain about Yorick not being viable anymore since he got nerfed a while ago.
I agree that he is not as strong as he used to be, but he still is very strong, when mastered maybe even too strong.

Yorick is normally played as AD offtank. A bit of AP may be viable too, for example Iceborn Gauntlet.

If you are a Kill seeking person that wants to do Pentas every game my build is not done for you.
This build focuses on Tankyness as well as consistent and remarkable damage, you wont be 2 hitting squishies and you wont do a lot of kills. In rankeds i normally do 3-7 kills depending on the jungler. But i always have tons of assists and obviously tons of CS.

Laning is where your game decides.

If you farm well and deny enemy farm you are very likely to carry the game.

Play very safe until lvl 3 / 4 and scout bushes with your W. And concentrate on last-hitting.

Once you reach lvl 3/4 the fun starts. Try to attack your enemy with a autoattack, then use your Q then use W and E. He will be chased by the ghuls and loose about 1/3 to 1/2 of his HP.
If he s not running away just keep AA and get the kill with ignite. You cant do anything wrong if you know where the enemy jungler is.

Just be careful when laning against CHO. Most people consider him the only counter against Yorick. I kinda agree to that, as laning against him is pretty hard. When laning against him just focus on last hitting and keeping enough mana to heal with your E.

During laning Phase you normally dont need your ult. Just keep it in mind.

Wards are very important in every lol game. But with Yorick i dont need words in laning phase.

Just always keep an eye on the mini-map and check the enemy junglers whereabouts.

If you dont see him observe your enemy`s behaviour as hell play different than normally if their jungler is preparing a gank.

If your not sure just use your W to scout the bush.

Mid/Lategame you have to buy wards, everyone in a Team should, not only the sup.

Teamfighs with Yorick are very funny, because they are not as easy as laning.

You have to find the right mixture between killing/attacking enemy squishies and protecting your Carry`s.

Normally I simply attack enemy ADC (because i have a lot of MR and can ignore AP carry). If then the enemy attacks our carry I do eihter Defend him with W or just keep attacking enemy squishies and use my ult on our ADC as he ll be ripping the enemy s apart.

Keep in mind you dont use your ult on yourself (normally) in most cases it s better for the team if you use it on a Carry.
