Malphite isn't just a blob of armor, he is actually very good at peeling, initiating, and anti initiating. since a lot of the meta picks are about bursting the enemy down, well Malphite does not give even the smallest turd about any resistance penetration. EVEN IF the enemy had magic pen, or amor pen, you will at least build 300 of the resistance from the build path above.

Malphite is well known to be a sad laner who can only fight after 6. well no, the runes above, PTA is made for him, you can slow with Q, and walk up to them, and the enemy will be like HA PTA MALPHITE RUNNING AT ME LEVEL 3 HA NOOB GET READY TO LOSE LP, but sadly, Malphite very literally wins a lot of early game with PTA.

so the items listed up are all in order, ready to be used in an item set, and the order is, your enemy laner's damage output, the most fed enemy's output, enemy adc building crit or not (randiun's omen).

A big tip is, there are no items to rush, having a spectral cowl and 2 a chain vest is okay, you can have a whole build of just cloth armor, then upgrade them into thronmail, sunfire cape, or any other items that build off of cloth armor.

SUPPROT ITEMS LITERALLY WORK ON MALPHITE, THE ACTIVES USUALLY FOR THE ADC, YOU CAN HAVE THAT ON YOUR OTHER ALLY WHO WILL GO IN THE TEAM FIGHT RIGHT AFTER YOU INITIATION, this is a very good stratigy, since support items suite Malphite very well, like Zeke convergence, you can ult the enemy team and they will be in the frost storm.

well you can flash R and make it less predictable and make it more faster, Malphite ult animation is longer by distance, and practicing util you can do it until it scares even you while doing it, you are now a god initiator.

Very easy, you peel for your carry, until the enemy is clumped more than 3 people together, then you ult them and watch as they have to attack you, since you have sheen and your auto's hurt. Your E slows the enemy attack speed, perfect for pinning the very fed Vayne or Kalista, and if your team loses the teamfight, well unless the enemy front liner is fed, you will never EVER lose a 2v1 or even a 3v1 against the enemy backline.

I have been playing Malphite since season 8, where I picked him up since I saw that he has a 100 Ap ratio on his ult, and he later became my main. I pocket pick him mid lane sometimes, and he is a decent solo Q pick even in higher elo's.
