Diana
Diana is one of the most annoying matchups, although it's melee which should be good for Qiyana. The reason why is, is because she her kit allows to stop our burst damage (her W) and is able to trade better in the end. An option is to play it slow and sometimes hide so she thinks you went base. Then after she uses W to push a wave you go in for a trade.
Taliyah
You both have insane damage early on and your root allows taliya to be able to hit W easier.

Who am I?
JustMTK
I start playing League of Legends in Season 3. I've always loved midlane & the assasins that are being played in that role. The highest rank I've been was D1 37LP, this was when I was playing a lot of Katarina. Which is also one of my main champs, besides Katarina I main Qiyana.
I hope to hit next season a little higher than Diamond but we'll see. Aside from League, I am a programming Student of 23 years old. Well if you have any questions about some champs in midlane or anything else feel free to stop by my twitch.

For Qiyana you will need

Electrocute buildYou choose this build when, there's maximum one tank & a lot of squichy targets. |
Eclipse This is the mythical item is okay if you're learning qiynana, another one would be duskblade. THat's the one I love to go to be perma stealth. |
Umbral Glaive![]() |
Youmuu's Ghostblade![]() |
Edge of Night![]() |
Guardian Angel![]() |
Conqueror buildThis build is being used when there's a lot of tanks in the enemy team. |
Eclipse This is the mythical item you should go on Qiyana both for Electrocute or Conqueror. |
Black Cleaver Black cleaver will provide the extra armor penetration damage we need in order to hurt tanks. It will stack up 6 times reducing enemy armor for 4% each time. It will also deal bonus damage based off of their missing health. |
Muramana After we bought the serrated dirk from the first back we bought a tear afterwards. This will stack the whole time while we buy our Eclipse & Cleaver first. This will give us bonus damage. |
Serylda's Grudge This will give a lot of needed armor penetration and will also slow enemies. Easier to catch up to very mobile champions like ezreal for example. |
Ravenous Hydra Since we will have a lot of AD damage this item will do well with our build. Will provide a lot of extra damage in long lasting teamfights. |

How do you play midlane as Qiyana?
You want to play the lane really safe till you get lvl3. If you end up getting poked before lvl 3, you might lose the trade you're gonna want to do when reaching lvl3.At lvl 2 you can try and throw a Q at the enemy laner to deal a little poke damage. So when full hp & lvl 3(even if u had to use potions), with long sword start you want to go for a trade. I prefer going for ICE element, the perfect trade would be throwing your ![]() ![]() When done correctly this trade works most of the times. Another trade you can do is go in with E Q(Q being brush element this time) and W out throwing another earht Q for that big trade damage. Then after you go in with the E Q (Q being ICE) and finish them of with W basic attack Q. These are the most important trades when playing Qiyana in the early game. Then after when these worked then fun can start and you can dominate the lane. Now another combo you can use when having an advantage over your opponent is this one in the video below. What I do here is using my W to gap close towards ![]() If you want to see more combo's please check out one of my youtube video's where there are many different combos. |
