Introduction

I main Shaco. Player in NA, my name is MOUNTAlN PENlS.

Runes

Electrocute for burst, dark harvest could be viable as well. Sudden impact could be activated with Shaco's Q. Eyeball collection to help snowball. Relentless hunter works well with Shaco's stealth. Legend alacrity gives attackspeed which helps clear and splitpushing. Coup de grace goes well with E. Triumph can be taken over alacrity and dark harvest can be taken over electrocute.

Masteries

Look at runes.

Items

Tiamat helps with jungle clear and opens more time for ganks. Duskblade gets rid of vision and lethality scales well with Shaco. Every other item is situational to the game.

Skill Sequence

Maxing E increases counter jungle efficiency. You could max Q instead for more ganking potential early.

Spells

Ignite for kill potential. Smite for jungling. Exhaust and flash could be viable, in my opinion they're not.

Ranked Play

Shaco does well against team comps with low CC. Getting to carries and bursting them. Against CC heavy teams it is recommended to play for picks and split push unless your team comp has good teamfight potential.

Cons
-squishy
-almost no cc
-not strong in teamfights
-relatively useless when behind
-could be countered with oracles
-relatively difficult to "master"

Creeping / Jungling

After clearing blue or red, Q over the dragon pit or baron pit to invade enemy jungle. If you out trade continue to steal camps and challenge them in their jungle. If you don't out trade, try to gank as much as you can. Take E second if you're not planning to invade.

Team Work

Communicate when calling baron, dragon, a teamfight, etc. Tell your team if you're split pushing or going for a pick. For the most part Shaco can function without communication, however, it is recommended to do standard call outs like baron or dragon.

Unique Skills

You can block skill shots with a well timed W. You can instantly auto when you Q to someone. Hallucinate makes you invulnerable, well timed R can dodge certain spells. A lot of mind games with R and Q when trying to outplay.

Farming

You should farm when you need gold. If you see a potential skirmish or important fight, stop farming to help the team. Don't be the jungler who farms bot when enemy team is doing baron.

Summary

Shaco is a champion with high damage and mobility. He could split push and burst carries. Could function as a bruiser or AP carry, not recommended though.
