Me and my opinion about Poppy
Poppy is quite underplayed mainly 'cause her price (450 IP). I can say to you never judge a champion basing on their prices. Good examples of champions that, in my opinion, are worth the price are

Any grammar or spelling errors you find, please let me know and I don't care if you downvote this, just let me know too what I should improve (e.g: BBCoding, bad build and the reason, etc.)
First of all, you all must study a champion before buying it just to be sure that it won't be a waste of hard time getting IP. Doesn't exist a bad champion, they all are good so far, you just need to know how to play it properly and it's not diferent with Poppy.
She can be played in three ways: AD, AP and Hybrid. This guide will cover only the hybrid Pop.

I think these ones are the only viable spells for

As you saw in the Pros/Cons chapter,
Poppy is a solo top champ and is squishy and top soloers must be tanky, so, it's important to invest in some armor. Poppy's spells scale with AD and others with AP, I like playing her hybrid for a good damage in all skills. This build basically will make a
Poppy completely hybrid, not only on damage attributes.
philosopher's stone I only take this because of the mana and hp regeneration to give more sustain and the passive will help you start building
Poppy, sell this when you need more space for items.
Boots are always situational, I usually take this one to help building a tanky
Poppy, and it's good due to it's passive that reduces the duration of CCs. You can always take
Ninja Tabi or
Sorcerer's Shoes whenever you need.
It's a hybrid item that I always buy while playing
Akali too, his active can sometimes secure the kill.
Will help building a tanky
Poppy too. Gives tons of health.
Kind of a hybrid item, gives you a little of everything, just what
Poppy needs.
Gives you a boost on the ASPD, Mov. Speed and Critical.
Helps a lot, it gives you armor and more critic chance, but that's not the point. What I really like on this item is the passive: it will give you a bonus on your AD based on your HP (1,5% of it). It's not a lot, but since you're building a tanky
Poppy with tons of HP, 1,5% can mean a lot.

As you may know, you may change your build based on who you are facing on top lane or even in the whole game. Boots are a good example. Why would you make a
Ninja Tabi if the whole team scales with AP? It will be useless, that's why I made a extra section on the build. And here I'll help you how to figure out when you have to switch the build's items.
Take this if you are facing a powerful champion which scales with AD like
Jax or
Tryndamere or if you notice that the entire team or most part of it are AD and don't have much CC, change it. You'll face them often on top lane. Only buy it if you really find out you need extra armor, 'cause you can still use
Mercury's Treads even facing those champions, just be careful.
and
Take those two if you get fed and replace
Warmog's Armor and
Atma's Impaler since
Atma's Impaler needs
Warmog's Armor to give you a decent bonus. If you want only one of them in your build, choose the one you need more and replace
Atma's Impaler with it.

Sice I don't have a lot of experience on League of Legends, I won't be able to give precise information for you about runes.
Seal of Armor x9 - As I said many times, you have to be a tanky
Poppy if you want to solo top.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction x9 -
Poppy sometimes can easily be killed in team fights when her skills are on cooldown and when this happens,
Diplomatic Immunity can save you. But what if even your ultimate is on cooldown? To prevent that, take some CDR, so you can spam
Devastating Blow and
Heroic Charge more often.
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed x3 - Since
Poppy has great chase and escape with
Paragon of Demacia, why don't increase even more her MS? If things get really bad on team fights or if you want to go for a quadra or pentakill and your opponent is running, use
Paragon of Demacia and
Ghost to get the kill. The speed is already very fast. This rune will increase even more you MS and can save your life or give you a kill.
Mark of Attack Damage x9 - If you have the opprtunity to be tanky and can still take more damage, do it. That's why this mark is my chosen one.

First maximize

There's not much to explain, just a basic tip to any solo top: farm A LOT. Get an level advantage and go on:
Heroic Charge to stun,
Devastating Blow and keep auto attacking. Before combo on you enemy, wait for a chance to do it to get him unwarned, for example, while he is last hitting a minion or if he waste an important skill on a minion (like
Fizz's "E", it's a vital skill for him) once you know that skill is on cooldown, combo. You won't get the kill, but if he's dumb enough to trade with you, he's dead. Use your Q whenever it's available and stun if possible and do not hesitate using
Ignite to secure the kill.

Hi everyone again! Hope you enjoyed my guide. I don't think it's awesome but it's not that bad. I could make a guide for the Brazilian Community, but you may not know but there are many ignorants that don't actually know how to constructively critic a guide. But there I saw many of you always saying what to improve and this really encouraged me to write a guide! I had a lot of fun making this, so please, rate it! Comment what to change!
I'm out, peace.
