Champion Build Guide

By Pullks
Hello everyone, my name is Sean but most people know me by my stream name "Pullks". I've been playing Nunu since I started League in season 9, and at this current time I am Diamond IV on North America.

This is by no means a meta guide, but it is fun as ever to play and have everyone in the game spam "?" over the enemies dead bodies. I have managed to climb to Plat II NA with a 65% WR using my build guide. OP.GG

This is my first guide on Mobafire as I have had countless requests for my item and rune page, sorry in advance as I don't know how to make it look pretty.

Note: I will continue to update this guide as I experiment. I do want to give credit to Nevski11 for inspiring me to write this guide, as I am not sure if he will update his.

I am now offering coaching to NUNU PLAYERS D4 and below. If you are interested please DM me on discord. Limited spots, closing when filled.
The best keystone to run on full AP Nunu is Dark Harvest. It scales as the game goes on, and you will be stacking easily in the early game.Cheap Shot gives true damage on your W, Eyeball Collection gives flat AP and Relentless Hunter makes you FAST AF BOI.

Secondary runes are self explanatory as you want to be fast as possible.
Summoner Spells
Considering you are playing jungle, Smite will be a necessary summoner spell to take. Even if you didn't want to the client will now force you, this is the first spell for Nunu & Willump. I personally prefer Chilling Smite but you can play around with Challenging Smite if it fits your playstyle.
Flash will be your second summoner spell as it is the best option for escaping or engaging. You could attempt to run Ignite but I haven't tried, your team may flame if they see a Nunu & Willump cosplaying Graves.

CALL OF THE FRELJORD (Passive): Gives 20% bonus attack speed and 10% bonus movement speed to Nunu and the nearest ally. It also causes Nunu & Willump basic attacks to splsh for 30% AD in a cone in front of him.
CONSUME (Q): Willump takes a bite out of a target enemy causing damage and healing himself. Healing is increased by 50% when below 50% maximum health (this can really throw off enemies as his base healing has +72% AP scaling from champions).
BIGGEST SNOWBALL EVER! (W): Willump breaks free of active slows and begins rolling in the direction of the cursor for 10 seconds. You will be slowed by 50% for the first second but then become immune to slows (this is very useful when running away). On collision the snowball explodes and knocks up the enemy for 0.5-0.75 seconds, this ability has +30% AP damage and is where a lot of your damage will come from.
SNOWBALL BARRAGE (E): Nunu throws 3 snowballs and enemies hit are slowed for 1 second, after 3 seconds enemies hit by the barrage will be rooted for 0.5-1.5 seconds. This ability has +80% AP damage, and can also catch enemies off guard once you have items.
ABSOLUTE ZERO (R): Nunu and Willump charge up and cause enemies to be slowed by 0%-95% and giving Nunu a shield based on 50% bonus HP and +150% AP, once channeling is done or cancelled the enemies take 0%-100% magic damage with +250% AP!! This is HUGE as the base damage for a max level R is 1275, get ready to NUKE enemies.
Your goal as full AP Nunu is to get turbo fed turbo fast.

I will always start Red Buff (leash or not) on blue or red side. I will then snowball to raptors and look for a gank mid when W is off cooldown (99% of the time you can force summoners of get a kill). Proceed to blue buff and then gromp, you should then look to gank mid/bot if it's available, or clear scuttle and reset.

From there you want to turbo gank and try to clear when you can, your goal is to get ahead as fast as possible.
General Tips
- Try to take the kills, ignore your team if they spam ping. YOU are the carry.

- Prioritize ganking, but only if they are available as you are very squishy and if you get put behind you will feel useless.

- Don't underestimate your damage, once you have Sorc boots and Harvester you can 1 combo essentially any squishy champ.

- Level 6 you will be able to 1 shot anyone if you get a full ult charge off... you will surprise yourself with the damage.

- You will be extremely squishy, but late game you will go from 5% health to 100% from one Q, and your R shield is disgusting and can keep you alive in team fights to catch your enemies off guard.

- Have fun with this build, and please try it in a normal game first. Don't get upset if you go 1/10 in a ranked game and blame it on me....
Early Game

Early Game Goals

Be Active on Map
Gank, Gank, Gank!!
Target Low Mobility Enemies
Focus Early Dragon 's and Rift Herald
Clear Enemy Vision with Oracle Lens
Get Rift Scuttler (if safe)
Early game is a Nunu & Willump's wet dream, it's where he has the opportunity to set up a win. Your main goal will be to hit level 2-3 and gank until enemies want to Alt+F4. Taking kills is okay, but if you are Platinum IV+ I would recommend giving the kills to your carries.

Follow the pathing guide and gank the enemy laners if they are pushed up or near death. If you gank someone and they have used their mobility spell like Flash (5 min cooldown) or Ghost (3.5 minute cooldown), you now have a time window to repeat gank and kill over and over again. I tend to avoid repeat ganking/camping tank champions like Ornn, Shen and Malphite etc. It is okay to give them a free kill but they won't carry the game, focus your middle lane and bottom lane if you manage to give them a lead.

Make sure to prioritize early game Dragon 's (Soul's are OP) and Rift Herald , Nunu & Willump can easily secure them because of Consume with Smite (Level 5 combo is 1210 damage, execute dragon with this). You are able to solo it as well, but I wouldn't recommend this unless you have vision of the enemy jungler/mid lane/bottom lane and Bami's Cinder. You can also help your bottom lane push the wave into tower and then spam ping them for help ༼ つ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ༽つ

Mid/Late Game

Mid Game Goals

Secured Dragon 's + Rift Herald
Engage Team Fights
Peel Your Carries
Secure Vision Near Objectives
Calculated Risks
By now a turret has likely fallen and people are becoming more aggressive, looking for kills by catching people in vision traps or roaming. A turret has likely fallen and it is around the 2nd or 3rd Dragon . Hopefully you have secured both Dragon 's as it is a huge advantage to have moving forward and a possible win condition if you achieve the dragon soul.

If you catch people out of position use your Biggest Snowball Ever! to run them down and secure kills for your team. Ensure you are clearing enemy vision with Oracle Lens and using Control Ward's for information.

Your teammates may also engage bad fights or get caught out, if you are around try your best to peel your carries if you can prevent their death. Sometimes all you need to do to win is sit on your ADC and make sure they don't die. Take calculated risks and fights that are beneficial for you, a lot of games get thrown in mid game by people yeeting 1000g+ bounties. Stay smart yeti enjoyers.

Hopefully your game doesn't get to this point and you have secured the win already, Nunu & Willump has terrible defensive scaling and if you get into 30-45+ minute games you will be horribly outscaled. Try your best to engage fights that are beneficial for your team and peel your carries.

Once it becomes 20+ minutes in the game you will receive homeguard buff from fountain, this pairs extremely well with Biggest Snowball Ever! and it will catch enemies off guard that may be trying to push into your Inhibitor or Tier 2 tower.

Do your best to continue to take objectives like Elder Dragon and Baron Nashor , don't be afraid to Flash + Consume + Chilling Smite (1880 DMG) if you have vision to steal from the enemy, it will tilt them (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

Late Game Goals

Continue to Engage Fights
Utilize Homeguard Buff from Base
Peel Your Carries
Secure Objectives
Try to Not Throw (ಥ﹏ಥ)
