About ME
I am Kamui an emerald support main with some competitive experience.
I have about 500 to 600 Pyke support games in total and played him several times in Prime League.
I put a lot of effort into this guide so I hope you like it!

Pykes Abilities
Passive - Gift of the drowned ones
This ability is really useful in laning phase as it gives you a lot of sustain.
This ability is also the reason why Pyke can play every in the most aggresive playstyle
Q - Bone Skewer
As a good Pyke player your hooks MUST land in order to get really good with this champion mechanicly. There arent any tips for this ability as you just need to practice to hit this spell
W - Ghostwater Dive
This ability is really important in order to generate pressure to the enemy carries out of nowhere. If they hear the sound of the Pyke W they will automatically play a little bit more safe and patient (same thing in lane!)
E - Phantom Undertow
Phantom Undertow has many versitile usages and its hard for me to explain every usage for you. So you need to test around and look how you think this spell fits best to you
R - Death From Below
Pyke R is his signature ability everyone thinks of when you think about Pyke.
Pyke R is really complex to use as a lot counters Pyke R just as [Zhonyas Hourglass] or any dash or blink. As you get better with the champion you will start thinking about the cooldowns of dashes, blinks, etc. in the fights.
This ability is really useful in laning phase as it gives you a lot of sustain.
This ability is also the reason why Pyke can play every in the most aggresive playstyle

ITEMS
First Base Item Options:
Serrated Dirk Go this always if you can
Long Sword If you dont have enough gold for
Serrated Dirk you should go for a double
Long Sword or one
Long Sword +
Boots
Control Ward Always try to get one of these into your backports but dont delay your
Serrated Dirk because you want to get one
Control Ward
Rush Item:
Umbral Glaive Is an amazing rush item because you always get use of it. Its a really cheap item spike and the passive of this item is really overpowered.
Mythic Item Options:
Youmuu's Ghostblade or
Duskblade of Draktharr you can argue for both items but at the end its a matter of taste what you favorise.
Evenshroud or
Locket of the Iron Solari both items are really good for the utility playstyle that I meantioned before.
Evenshroud is your way to go item for this playstyle but
Locket of the Iron Solari is also really great into high burst.
Last Item Options:
Guardian Angel This is a really great last item that you can always go for.
Frozen Heart Go for this item if you play against lots of auto attackers.
Force of Nature This is a good option against lots of AP dmg. But you shouldnt buy this to often because it loses lots of value as you dont get any health on
Pyke
Serpent's Fang Go for this item if you play against lots of shielding champions such as
Karma or
Lulu
Vigilant Wardstone sounds like troll but its a really great option as very last item. Try it out and if you like it you shouldnt be scared to take use out of it.

Matchups
In this Chapter I want to explain you every support matchup I already played!
Obviously there are lots of Champions you will play against that arent meta that I cant include but if you leave an comment I can give you an detailed explanation to that specific matchup.
Alistar is an really tough matchup as he offers a lot of crowd control that you need to deal with. But you can play it as you can interrupt his gap closer (his W) with you hook if it is timed perfectly
Bard can be really annoying to play against as he has really good roams. So consequently you need to either match those roams or really punish the Ad-Carry thats left alone in lane. What playstyle you play against bard depends on your Ad-Carry and how safe the enemy Ad-Carry is.
Blitzcrank is one of your hardest matchups as
Pyke as he can interrupt your E with his E and his silence on R is pretty strong against you.
Brand is a pretty easy matchup if you play around his cooldowns.
Braum is also pretty tough shines in those mellee matchups
Heimerdinger ban it or dodge it
Janna in this matchup you need to be confident with your hooks as you cant E into her Q
Karma pretty easy if you use your W on cooldown so Karma cant poke you down
Leona can be annoying but you can play reactive and if she engages you just jump on their Ad-Carry
Lulu is an skill matchup as Lulu can annoy you with her Polymorph and her R knockback. But its harder for her to win lane than for you
Lux play around her Q cooldown. If she wastes it you can do whatever you want freely.
Milio the same thing as for Lux. Play around his Q cooldown.
Morgana can be pretty tough but you can force a lot on your roams.
Nami doesnt have a lot of crowd control and its pretty easy to dodge so you can snowball in lane already.
Nautilus is also not the easiest matchup. You need to bait his hook so you can play more aggresive. If you arent confident in this matchup you can take
Aftershock
Rakan is an hardcounter to your champ as you cant force anything on him or his mates. He will always tank the hook and then just jump back with his E
Rell is pretty easy if you just play slow and dodge her mainspell W
Renata Glasc another hardcounter as she will pull you back with her Q everytime you jump in with E. You need to play a lot with your hook to play this matchup.
Senna pretty easy as she is has the kit of an Ad-Carry.
Seraphine can be annoying but you can play it if you land an hook.
Sona easy matchup as she doesnt have anything that can scare you in lane
Soraka her E can be pretty annoying but if you play around that its free
Swain you need to force a lot before 6. After that you can only all in if he doesnt have his R.
Taric is pretty tough as he benefits a lot if his enemy is an Mellee character.
Thresh is an easy matchup if you just play for hooks. You cant jump in with E as he will flay you away. If he wastes his flay you can play very aggresive.
Vel'Koz is very easy as you can play very aggresive.
Xerath same thing with Xerath but you need to be cautious as his E stun duration is pretty long.
Yuumi you need to play very aggresive against her as she scails amazingly well.
Zilean his slow is pretty annoying but its pretty easy to play.
Zyra can be very hard but also very easy. It depends on the skill level of the
Zyra player
