Introduction
Hello fellow summoner's! This is my first guide (so don't expect much, but I will be sure to get better), and I will be teaching you how to play Rammus as a tank-support in the bot lane. I know that Rammus's normally played as jungle but he's good at playing in the bot lane ,too (I commonly play rammus in the bot lane).
Rammus is a tough tank, which relies much on armor (for me). He is good at chasing enemies and setting ganks or clashes. If played really well, Rammus can hold two to three tanks(or really tough, tank-like champions atleast) for some time before you're teammates go for back-up. Rammus has high survival rate too at ganks and clashes.
Runes
Greater Seal of Armor - you'll need a good number base armor at the start of the game.
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist - this is usefull against mages and casters.
Greater Mark of Scaling Health & Greater Quintessence of Scaling Armor - we'll want Rammus to have high health and armor especially at the mid and late game, in short, a late game threat.
Item Sequence
Ninja Tabi - just like what I said earlier, I rely mostly on armor for Rammus.
Aegis of the Legion - you're a support right?
- you'll be needing to upgrade this item to Runic Bulwark after
completing the core builds or if you're just lacking money to buy the
other items (because Runic Bulwark is much easier to save for.
Sunfire Aegis - great for close quarters, cs, gives generous amount of health and armor.
Thornmail - okay, so now you're a bully.
- makes Rammus tougher with his 2nd skill activated.
Warmog's Armor - a big amount of health and health regen will be a good sustain especially in
clashes and team fights.
Randuin's Omen - alright hitters, take you're pick.
- you're team will be needing a good setter, plus you'll be needing more health
armor.
-Take Powerball first for cs.
-I took all the first 3 skills of rammus ( Powerball, Defensive Ball Curl, and puncturing taunt), so he cn be more flexible in the field.
-I usually level up Rammus's Defensive Ball Curl first because it is very effective for team fights because of its bonus armor and damage return.
-You can use Soaring Slam every time there are team fights, enemy ganking you or simply damaging someone away from you (you shouldn't be worrying 'bout using this anytime 'cause of its low cooldown).
TIP for using Soaring Slam:
-when you're on a 1v1 situation against an enemy champ, let's put rengar for example, and he's about to die when he uses his ss and becomes invi, don't hesitate to go after him(atleast guess the direction he's going) and use Soaring Slam(maybe use Soaring Slam when you're sensing that he's going to die and before he'll try to escape) to nail him and getting a kill.
Rammus is one tough armadillo for your enemies to deal with if played right. I will be providing screenshots next time to prove you that Rammus is my winning champ in ranked games ^_^. I hope that my first guide will be a great help for my fellow summoners out there who wants/loves to play rammus.
Please upvote if you liked this guide and/or it helped you (I know that this guide won't be helping you "a lot" for I'm just a newbie at making these guides). Please don't hesitate to ask anything 'bout the guide. You're comments and suggestions would be a great help too ^_^.
Thanks for viewing my guide :)
