I'm one of you low elo players also and want to get talon out to other people so thats why I am making this guide on how to play talon and my insights on playing him at low elo.

Why I Play Talon

I got into Talon during the pandemic while being locked inside and have nothing to do. I first heard of Talon from this Talon streamer Yamikazexz.I played Talon in most of my ranked games during season 10-11 I kinda stopped after all the changes to league.


I sometimes stream on Twitch

Pros + Has one of the strongest early games + Has Simple Combos + Can 1v9 (as long as no scaling tanks) + Great against adcs and other assassins + Extremly Mobile

Talon is a pretty straight forward champion that can be played in all elos (mostly highish elos) and can carry pretty hard. Talon has one of the strongest level 2 in the game which gets him is Noxian Diplomacy and his Rake combined with Blade's End could easily one shot a weak mage but if they hit level 2 as soon as you full combo with them they will heal a good amount and will possibly survive your attack

Cons + Really can't do much to tanks + Can fall off + Is prone to suffer from cc heavy teams + Can also get one shot

Talon can be really simple but that is also a downfall for him. If you stay at one mindset for too long you might never improve and stay in your current elo. Talon is really bad into people building full tanks. Talon is an assassin so naturally the longer the game goes on more people are able to build tankier items and survive your combo so you really want to end game between 20-35ish minutes or make the enemy team ff at 15 if possible.

Ok you might be wondering why should I even bother take Tear of the Goddess and turning it into Manamune or Muramana? There are two main reasons why I take this item.

Mana Problem

The first reason why I take these items is for the mana. Talon doesnt have much mana at level 18 (only being 1000) and his abilites Rake cost 75 mana at full upgrade. I did simple calculations and if you have no mana items talon can only use Rake 13 times before running out of mana and thats just with using his W and not considering his Q and ult. His Q Noxian Diplomacy is 40 mana no matter how many times you upgraded it will still be at 40 mana and his ult Shadow Assault is 100 mana and only being 10 times to be activated but that doesnt matter. if you where to do a simple combo at max level with W + Q + ult thats already 215 mana used for a simple combo and that is if you hit you W comming back for Blade's End I'm absolutely sure that a high elo Talon main could hit both rakes but this is a guide for people who want to improve or get into talon at low elo.

Extra Attack Damage

Muramana at full stacks gives the following stats

Stats For Muramana + 35 Damage + 15 Ability Haste + 860 Mana

When the item is fully stacked it gives Talon an extra 860 mana whis is almost double his current mana! With the Mana of Talon increasing by almost double you are able to stay in lane longer to CS more, poke more, and not have to worry about wasting your abilites and mana as often.

Level One

Talon has a pretty decent level 1 starting with W most of the time. I usually sit around jg but I never am with the team I am always hovering them just incase the enemy team invades. If your laner is ranged they can poke you. Try to stay back and use your W to farm but beware of your mana because it is 377 at level 1 and you W cost 55 mana only letting you throw it out a total of 6 times if you keep using it over and over. After a wave and one more minion you will be at level 2 your power spike. Just because your power spike is level 2 doesn't mean your going to be unstoppable.
