Choose Champion Build:

  • LoL Champion: Sivir
    Pusher
  • LoL Champion: Sivir
    AD

Introduction

Hi, I am fuhtuhwuh and a Silver[5v5]/Gold[3v3] player who, rarely, creates guides for his newb friend. My other guide is Jax the Tax man (Jungle 5v5s) if you wanna check it out. Since my friend is pretty nooby, this is a guide I designed for normals but, in theory, should work fine for Ranked games. There will be chapters for both parts of my guide (chapters for the Pusher and chapters for the Typical AD build).

Summoner Spells

Cleanse is a great tool for running away with. If you are being closed in on when you are split pushing, you can active your On The Hunt to run and if you get caught with something such as Exhaust you can just Cleanse it off.

Flash is a must. The reason I choose this over Ghost is that it gives you instant distance either away or towards an opponent and can also teleport you over walls. If you are caught with cc, Ghost cannot help you but with Flash you can go over a wall, the cc will wear off and you can sprint away.

Barrier. Another great spell. It's hard to choose between this and Ignite. Barrier Gives you a little bonus health (Shield) to last longer in a fight, however, Ignite gives you more damage and can finish off opponents from a distance if your Boomerang Blade isn't up. It's up to you and your personal preference.

Runes and Masteries

PUSHER:
The notes that accompany the runes listed pretty much explain everything that is needed.

Read the notes for the masteries, standard AD masteries with movement speed

AD:
Same again, the accompanying notes explain everything. Pretty standard, imo.

Very typical AD masteries.

Pros and Cons [PUSHER]

Pros:
INSANE split pushing potential
Very fast
Huge range with Boomerang Blade
Very strong 1v1 potential post-6
A Spell Shield that gives FREE MANA!

Cons:
Low AA range
High Mana costs
Pre-6, her Ricochet is near-useless
Shut down hard and easily if On The Hunt is on cooldown

Huge range with Boomerang Blade
Very strong 1v1 potential post-6
A Spell Shield that gives FREE MANA!

Skill Sequence

Ability Sequence

To be honest, you don't even need to be told her Skill Sequence. When it comes to fighting, use Boomerang Blade wherever possible, Ricochet whenever possible after Boomerang Blade and Spell Shield to absorb any CC. Activate your ultimate ( On The Hunt) whenever you feel like you need some movement speed, whether it's chasing enemies or staying away from a fight.

Farming

Farming early game is the same whether you plan on pushing a lot or being a typical AD. Don't use your Ricochet to farm as it uses unnecessary mana and it's pointless unless you really want to clear those minions. However, when it comes to pushing you want to be using your Boomerang Blade and Ricochet as often as possible to be really aggressive and force that tower down.

You should be aiming for:

10 minutes: 70cs 0 kills - 65cs 1 kill - 60cs 2 kills.
20 minutes: 140cs 0 kills - 135cs 1 kill - 130cs 2 kills.

These are, what I would class, as minimum targets in terms of farm.
If you are aiming to push towers then you may end up with less farm than if you went AD as your main target is towers, not cs.

Counters

If you have gone for the pusher build, your 1v1 strength is slightly weaker than that of the AD Sivir. However, as you have much more speed than that of the AD build, you can handle the champions with low mobility much easier.

Sivir can do really well against a Vayne, however, if Vayne has Leona, Annie or Zyra or anyone with cc as a support then you're gonna have a bad time as you will be shut down by the CC. The reason why she she can do well against a Vayne is that she can absorb her Condemn and can trade very well against her if you land your Boomerang Blade, however, Vaynes Tumble can quite easily dodge your Boomerang Blade. Try to use it after she rolls. Because of these reasons, Vayne has very strong dueling potential without her Condemn which may make this a hard lane. Because of this, Vayne is both moderately weak and strong against Sivir

Twitch is a **** to go against. By time he needs to use an ability, you are already near death which makes your Spell Shield only good for absorbing his slow. He can appear next to you and nuke you down which makes it hard to lane against him. Once Twitch becomes invisible you should stand near a wall and get your support to stand about 400-600 units away from you in whichever direction you see most fitting.

I've found that Sivir is VERY strong against Caitlyn as she can choose to absorb anything of Caitlyns. She can save her Spell Shield for ANY of Caitlyns abilities. Sivirs Boomerang Blade is extremely easy to land when Caitlyn tries to use her Piltover Peacemaker.

Again, Sivir is very strong against Graves as she can choose to absorb either of his 2 strongest abilities. You could absorb his Buckshot and then retaliate whilst all he can do is try to run.

Now for the supports.
Sivir works extremely well with a Taric support as he can supply a lock on, mid-high range stun so you can land your Boomerang Blade and also supplies you with health and armour.

Soraka is probably the second best support to have by your side. She can supply you with a stream of mana and health as well as being able to silence the opponent. This makes laning against ADCs that use often abilities a breeze. ADCs such as Lucian, Sivir and Ezreal become easy to beat with the aid of Soraka.

Leona is just a wall of CC. She is simply too useful to her own ADC as you cannot stop her stunning you. Your Spell Shield does NOT stop Leonas lunge, but it can stop either of her 2 stuns. Leona is a very hard support to lane against.

Alistar is also a huge problem. You don't want to accidentally [Spell Shield]] his headbutt from the front as this will make it easier for him to land his knock up, however, it can save your life if he gets behind you and tries to headbutt you into his ADC.

I know this may be hard to understand and seems a little unstructured, so I will write a brief list of ADCs/Supports that are Weak/Strong against you.

Sivir is GOOD against:
Vayne
Graves
Caitlyn
Soraka
Blitzcrank
Taric
