Introduction!

Introduction
Welcome to my first guide on MOBAFIRE on my best champion of the League: Draven!
I started playing 2 years ago. Most of my games were won with Draven after he came out and that is why I believe I can make a guide about him. Draven is a AD Carry who requires a good amount of micro-management and use of his skills to be fully effective.
A shout out to jhoijhoi for her awesome guide which you can find here.

Masteries
These are set up to give you farming potential and damage with a splash of durability for early game harass. If you're wondering why I didn't go for Havoc than that's because its only a 3% increase, so if you deal 100 damage then you get and additional 3 damage.

Spells

Summoner Spells

Barrier is the meta for AD carries and the only way to get through it is damage which can save you in some situations.

Flash: This is a spell you see everyday on LoL and it is a positioning spell, a get your *** out card, etc.
space
Heal: This is a spell you see on ADC's but I rarely use it and when I do its when I have a no heal support and a heavy harass lane.

Ability Explanation

Ability Explanation

  • League of Draven: Honestly when I first tried to play Draven With this I lost a lot more. Now I see that this passive is ok and if combined with first blood it will cause you to always have a gold advantage.
    Tips And Tricks
    • Do your best to last hit and catch axes.
    • Late game this will stack fast and will get you fed early game.
  • Spinning Axe (Q): Your primary damage tool as at rank five it deals and additional 85% of your damage and applies Wicked Blades. It also causes the axe to bounce back and if you catch it (an icon shows up on the ground) then it causes you to get Spinning Axe for free.
    Tips and Tricks
    • This is your main source of damage as it deals alot more damage than you would without it.
    • Be warned as enemies can see where the axe will land so the enemy Blitzcrank could simply grab you.
    • The axe will land near you or on you if you do not move and when moving will try to land along your path.
  • Blood Rush (W): This is your steroid ability. When you activate it you receive a short movement speed bonus and a AS bonus for about 3 seconds. If you catch a Spinning Axe the cooldown is instantly refreshed. Not really special but does help with killing.
    Tips and Tricks
    • When you harass have Spinning Axe activated then activate Blood Rush. Hit the enemy champion then catch the axe leaving you with no cooldowns.
    • Use this spell to
  • Stand Aside (E): This is Draven's only CC but it is a hard CC as it pushes aside enemies and slows. Not the best skill but it does have a multitude of uses.
  • Whirling Death (R): This causes Draven to "throw" his axes and send them across the map. When the axes hit a champion, end of the map or you reactivated the abillity they start to reverse and return to you damaging enemies both ways. This is a spell used to catch runners or disrupt enemies during fights.

Item Sequence

Bloodthirster 3400
Phantom Dancer 2650
Runaan's Hurricane 2650
Infinity Edge 3600
Sword of the Divine 2200
Enchantment: Furor 450

  • : This is the obvious choice for a ADC as the attack speed helps even if it is small. For the enchantment get Furor.
  • : Grants a pretty massive boost to your AD and lifesteal. A very standard item on ADC's so I won't go in-depth.
  • : This item has very good synergy with Draven as it gives you critical chance, attack speed and movement speed. It also grants no unit collision which helps alot when you fight near minions.
  • : Gives alot of attack speed and has an awesome passive which you can abuse with your attacks. Also gives some farming potential and "splash damage" in teamfights. On a final note you should see that they apply ON-HIT EFFECTS!
  • : This item to Draven is like bread to butter. Gives additional critical damage and chance with a nice AD boost.
  • : I get this for the active. 100% attack speed and critical chance? Hell ya! No for real this is a very nice rework of the old item.
  • Furor: Helps to catch up to people. An alternative could be Honeguard.

Team Fights

Teamfights
As an ADC you should focus the other ADC or the APC. The order follows like this: ADC>APC>Support>Jungler. Notice there is one thing missing: Tank. NEVER EVER FOCUS ON THE TANK! Your role in a nutshell is to kill carries and don't get focused.

Gameplay

Early Game:

Focus on farming and doing some harass. If the jungler offers a gank then allow the enemy to push and initiate on his go. Farm enough for at the very least BoS and B.F.Sword.

Mid Game:

This is when you should have atleast 2-4 core items. Ganks don't matter much and team fights are starting. Getting Dragon is a good objective to have but you should still focus on kills.

Late Game:

This is where Baron takes priority. If you got fed then congrats, you won! Team fights happen very often and at one point there is Hyper-Late Game where 1 team fight is victory or loss.
