As a support main, I'll definitely try this build. I've played Ashe support only a few times and have not lost so many matches. I lost when our mid or top intentionally fed. (kids are unbelievably toxic, no matter where they come from and which game they play -_-) but I want to give the hot chick from a cold region called " Ashe" another chance as a support.

Here are some things that are bugging me:

- Why do you rush Infinity Edge? For a pure toxic, anti-fun duo ADC lane? Executioner's Calling is cost efficient and has a very good passive, especially when there are healers or self-healers (lifesteal/spellvamp) on enemy team. If you are concerned about your own damage (and you should not, since you are a support), sell it for IE in late game. Otherwise, Black Cleaver and Essence Reaver are good choices IMHO.
- AD marks? Your job is to support, not to carry the game (at least, as an ADC :P). 9 marks of crit damage gives you %20 more crit damage throughout the game, I guess, while AD runes are only good for early game. Besides, my choices of seals are 5 armor + 4 gold, 6 flat/scaling mr + 3 mana regen glyphs and finally 3 ms quints or 2 ms + 1 more crit damage quint (%5 more crit damage does hurt ^^).
- I agree with you about Statikk Shiv. It's a core item, without a doubt.
- I also do not prefer maxing W first and have never regretted for maxing Q first. Max W second if you are ahead, or E second if you are behind and getting ganked constantly.
- I thought AD masteries were useless but tested them and got better results than 4 points of Fury . Either Double-Edged Sword or Expose Weakness is still needed, though.
- Ashe slows people but she herself is also super slow, so there are only two choices in every situation; Mobility Boots or Boots of Swiftness (I prefer it moar). CDR, AS and Mpen boots are unnecessary and some boots ( Ninja Tabi, Mercury's Treads) are useless. You are not tanky at all.
- Stacking Tear is also unnecessary. Talisman and ER will give you enough mana regeneration.

So, my example build is like this:

talisman of ascension
Ruby Sightstone
Boots of Swiftness
Essence Reaver, Black Cleaver or zeke's herald (situational)
Executioner's Calling (you are free to sell it for Infinity Edge in late game)
Statikk Shiv

Overall, awesome guide and useful. ****EN SAVED :)

I played Ashe quiet some time as a carry so far, so i found your idea to be interesting, even more as i currently focus on playing support. So i would spend some thougts on the reason why AD-supports aren't popular in meta in general.
As i read your guide a second time, i felt like it is lacking an overall strategy. The most in common strategy in my experience is to play a support which is adding utility to a team, which focuses mostly on damage or providing cc and tankiness. Thus, i do not understand the choice to pick Ashe and u don't eveluate it much aswell.
Mostly you point out her early game poke will give your botlane an advantage, most probably by killing or zoning out the enemy. I liked that you gave some thoughts about botlane opponments, but on the other hand, when you try to zone out the enemy to deny his farm, you also have to bother the jungler. The opposing jungle pick was not considered in your guide.
Assuming you get an early game advantage, how do you use it to get even further ahead in midgame and end the game? What do you do, if you fail in midgame and it comes to late game? Either you don't have an overall strategy for the game, or you didn't write it into your guide.

One thing i forgot to say and to agree with utopus i must say that the GpM Quintessences are not good if you plan to harass early. Enhancing your early criticals and Volleys is a must for a poking support. That is why i have my aggressive masteries and doran's blade.
Some math to show the efficiency of greater quintessence of Damage over GpM:
The damage quintessences grant 6,8 damage flat which equals 244,8 gold if you measure it in longswords.
The same amount of gold is generated in 13,6 minutes. Until then you are inferior in lane and i agree with utopus that harassing (or even laning) might be over. If you make just one major mistake during that time, you ll be floored completely by the enemy botlane without chance of recovering. This is why i prefer damage runes over GpM.

You asked me to look at your guide, so here i am :P

I'll be totally honest - i think that support ashe is really bad. I'm a meta sheep, and i'm just going to say that I would never ever ever play support ashe, because I might actually like it. lol

Anyways, i'll ignore my prejudice against support Ashe for this guide. Making my review unbiased would probably benefit you best.

One of the most conflicting things i'm seeing in this guide is its' unaddressed inconsistencies. For instance, you say that Ashe support is really good at bullying opponents in the early game, and then you use this weird rune loadout that doesn't make full advantage of ashe's early game power. Yeah. I'm talking about those Greater Quintessence of Golds. Those quintessences will amount you a total of 117 gold by the time you hit the 9:00 mark and it can be safely concluded that ashe's strong bullying phase is over. Is that extra gold right there worth the sacrificing the extra lane dominance that a Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage would gain?

Quoted:
Ashe is the only support who can deal non-negligible damage at a distance while not consuming mana.

.

Also, other supports can deal a lot of damage with autoattacks as well. Having played Morgana a lot, i know that she has quite a big base attack damage. What you should say is that Ashe is the safest support to autoattack harass with because of her large range.

Something that I think you don't talk about as much as I would like, is how squishy Ashe is. Like, if you get Dark Bindinged, Death Sentenced, or zenith bladed, you're probably pretty dead. You've done a good job of it so far, but for this section in particular, you should try explaining your own mindset to your readers. I think describing to them what your thoughts, when you are going against a bot lane with heavy all-in potential is going to be the most effective way of teaching them how to play safely against these kinds of bot lane compositions.

Something that's a little confusing, is why you choose to buy components for Infinity Edge, as your first major item. Why try to build components for the most expensive AD item in the game, with the most expensive item components, on the most gold-starved role? Having not tried support ashe myself, i wouldn't know for sure, but I am a little concerned that this kind of purchase is only do-able when you're ahead...
And if you end up behind in the mid game, there's no way you'll ever be able to build this, which is a problem, because when I get to your itemization part of your guide, I literally have no idea what to build. It's a little confusing, since you don't establish a build order after your IE + Sightstone + Boots + Nomad's Medallion. Bringing a little more order to this section would benefit your guide a lot. I know you juxtapose the goods and bads of each item, but you should also elaborate on what stage of the game you get a particular item.

Random tip for guide writing: If an item is so situational that you buy it in <2% of your games played, don't even bother including it, unless the item is a big noobtrap, or there is something that you particularly want your reader to know about. In your guide, you wrote a little bit about Trinity Force, Runaan's Hurricane, Zephyr, Muramana, Blade of the Ruined King, Spirit of the Elder Lizard, Executioner's Calling, Frost Queen's Claim, and face of the mountain explaining in great detail that these are not good items that the reader should get... Most of these items, you probably don't even need to include in your guide. If you don't ever use the item, don't write about it.

On one last note, you need to teach your readers how to land their ultis Learn this video forwards and backwards, and teach its' fundamentals to your readers. I've learned so much from this video, and my league play wouldn't be where it is today without my mastery of the things taught in this video.

Anyways, I hope that helps a little bit. :) If you think i helped you out, please +rep me; It means a lot to me

Very interesting, IllumZar. While I'm not yet convinced that Zeke's Herald makes a good first first item, I will have to do some maths and test out 21/x/x Masteries along with a Doran's Blade start.

Thank you for reading, and expect an update containing my thoughts soon.

I had the idea of playing ashe support earlier when i was weak and could not carry with ashe. So my ideas were to radically reconstruct her into usefullness for the team. cdr, slows and ult were my first thoughts about Ashe Support. Later i started to pursue this playstyle and figured out my own style to play ashe support.
Therefore i can agree to 95% of your guide which is great! :)
One minor thing i would add or at least put into discussion is the early game start:
Doran's Blade and 21/x/x masteries and standard ArPen + AD runes provide more combat power and thus give early game advantage. This bonus helps in all stages of the game tbh. ... The ancient coin or the first upgrade can be purchased later in the first recall. I also prefer to buy Zeke's Herald as first major item because of the nerfed lifesteal (that is still untouched in this item) and the bonus aura for your adc. AFAIK this item is gold efficient with at least one teammate nearby, so ... :)

People are forced to leave a comment when they do. Mostly those will be comments telling you how you can improve your guide/tell you what's out of order. Win-win situation. Votes are necessary anyway :)

Problem with that is, it can prevent votes altogether too.
