Champion Build Guide

Talon build | Challenger

Tips
One of the most important things in the game is farming. It's an easy and safe way to get items and carry the game. You can see more about wave management in the bottom of the guide.^^

Other things that might help you climb:
Focus on your own mistakes not your teams mistakes
Don't use the chat, it will only distract you
If you die a lot then buy more pink wards to prevent ganks and look at the minimap more often to see if you can find the enemy jungler. If you see the enemy jungler top or bot, you can play aggressive without the risk of getting ganked.
Also roaming is pretty good on Talon because of his mobility - before you roam it might be a good idea to push in your wave so you dont lose minions to the turret^^
Introduction
HIGHLIGHTED VIDEO

Hello guys this is my Talon guide. I have been playing since season 2 and have been Challenger the last 4 seasons. I got 2 accounts in Challenger at the moment and I'm trying to get my 3. smurf to Challenger. Right now I focus only on toplane where I play Tryndamere most of the time. You can join my stream if you want, would love that^^ https://www.twitch.tv/kurtdenstore21 . Talon is played a lot in high elo so you should come watch my stream and maybe you are lucky to catch me against a Challenger Talon - Talon is pretty strong atm so you should try him^^

There are other builds/runes to Talon that works so you need to figure out what works best for you. You could use my build every game but I would recommend you to form your own builds that works with ur playstyle.

This is my Challenger accounts

This is my greatest winstreak of all time in ranked

This is 2 of my smurfs

Have a great day!
Summoner Spells

SUMMONER SPELLS
-
FLASH: Talon should have flash every game, because I believe that is his best summoner spell, it helps secure kills and survive ganks.
IGNITE: Ignite gives you the ability to secure kills because it deals true damage and it makes the enemies heal less.
Starting items
Long Sword: This is the most used first item as Talon. I would recommend you to pick this item everygame. However if you feel like other items works better for you feel free to change it.
Core Items

Core Items
-
Duskblade of Draktharr: Duskblade of Draktharr gives you 55 Attack Damage, 10% Cooldown Reduction and +21 Lethality.

It also comes with two UNIQUE Passives:
UNIQUE Passive: Nightstalker: After being unseen for at least 1 second, your next basic attack will deal 30-150 (at levels 1-18) bonus physical damage. Melee champions will also slow the target by 99% for 0.25 seconds.

UNIQUE Passive: Blackout: Disable nearby enemy wards for 8 seconds after being spotted by one (90 second cooldown). Melee basic attacks instantly kill traps/wards that are disabled by Blackout. This item helps you deal more burste.
Mercury's Treads: This item comes with 25 Magic Resistance and two UNIQUE Passives:

UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement: +45 Movement Speed.

UNIQUE Passive: Tenacity: The duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, silences, blinds and immobilizes are reduced by 30%. This helps you with CC.
Youmuu's Ghostblade: This item gives 55 Attack Damage and 10% Cooldown Reduction. The item also comes with two UNIQUE Passives and one UNIQUE Active:

UNIQUE Passive: +18 Lethality (11-18 armor penetration based on your level).

UNIQUE Passive: +40 Movement Speed out of combat.

UNIQUE Active: Gain 20% Movement Speed and ignore unit collision for 6 seconds (45 second cooldown). The UNIQUE Active helps you catch people but also to get away from dangerous situations.
The Black Cleaver: The Black Cleaver comes with 40 Attack Damage, 20% Cooldown Reduction and 400 Health. The item also have two UNIQUE Passives:

UNIQUE Passive: Dealing physical damage to an enemy champion reduces their armor by 4% for 6 seconds. This effect stacks up to 6 times for a maximum of 24% armor reduction.

UNIQUE Passive: Rage: Dealing physical damage grants 20 Movement Speed for 2 seconds. Killing any unit or receiving an assist on a champion that has any amount of Black Cleaver armor shred grants 60 Movement Speed for 2 seconds instead. Helps you with armor and to stick to opponents.
Lord Dominik's Regards: The next item you should get is Dominik's Regards this item gives you 45 Attack Damage. That's pretty good alone. However we get this item for it's UNIQUE Passive. Because in lategame there might be some enemies that got armor and the UNIQUE Passive helps you deal with these targets.

UNIQUE Passive: Last Whisper: +35% total armor penetration.
Ravenous Hydra: This item gives 80 Attack Damage, 100% Base Health Regeneration and 12% Life Steal. It also comes with a Passive, UNIQUE Passive and a UNIQUE Active.

Passive: Damage dealt by this item benefits from life steal (melee only).

UNIQUE Passive: Cleave: Your attacks deal physical damage up to 60% of your Attack Damage to units around your target, decaying down to 20% near the edge.

UNIQUE Active: Crescent: Deals physical damage up to 100% of your Attack Damage to units around you, decaying down to 60% near the edge. (10 second cooldown) This item helps with waveclear but also comes with great sustain.

E
Assassin's Path (E):
Talon vaults over any terrain or structure, up to a max distance. This ability has a low cooldown, but puts the used terrain on a long cooldown.

Talon vaults over the nearest structure or terrain in the target direction. The vault's speed is affected by Talon's movement speed. Talon cannot dash over the same section of terrain right after, he have to wait for the cooldown of the wallt to clear.

R

Talon Lore
''The three deadliest blademasters in all of Valoran are bound to the house of Du Couteau: my father, myself, and Talon. Challenge us, if you dare.''

~ Katarina Du Couteau
Talon is the knife in the darkness, a merciless killer able to strike without warning and escape before any alarm is raised. He carved out a dangerous reputation on the brutal streets of Noxus, where he was forced to fight, kill, and steal to survive. Adopted by the notorious Du Couteau family, he now plies his deadly trade at the empire’s command, assassinating enemy leaders, captains, and heroes… as well as any Noxian foolish enough to earn the scorn of their masters.
