Pro Offence Tree
Summoner's Wrath : Pretty standard, it will give some extra damage and ability power while your ignite is on cooldown. If you are using Exhaust, then it will also reduce the target's armor and magic resist which will reduce the damage reduction and allow you to kill them more easily. Brute Force : Easier last hitting and well it's required that you have 4 points in the tier 1 to move on and there is nothing better than this. This could make your harass stronger if you are really thinking optimistically but 1 damage is not much of a difference. Alacrity : Pretty standard, you need attack speed if you're thinking of doing anything significant in terms of damage and split pushing. Sorcery: Good mastery, reduced cooldown on mushrooms, which means you can put down more shrooms in enemy jungle as you split push. Weapon Expertise : You deal Physical damage so its only obvious that you should get this. Vampirism : You need lifesteal to sustain in a lane. If you have no sustenance you will have to go back A LOT more than you should. Sunder : In my opinion, The best mastery in the offensive tree. Starting the game enemies will have 30 to 50 armor. 6 Armor penetration might seem like a little but it will make a huge difference throughout the game |

Crit Offence Tree
Summoner's Wrath : Pretty standard, it will give some extra damage and ability power while your ignite is on cooldown. If you are using Exhaust, then it will also reduce the target's armor and magic resist which will reduce the damage reduction and allow you to kill them more easily. Alacrity : Pretty standard, you need attack speed if you're thinking of doing anything significant in terms of damage and split pushing. Weapon Expertise : You deal Physical damage so its only obvious that you should get this. Deadliness : I don't really like this masteries but you will need it to get to Lethality which is quite nice. You also can look on the brighter side and say that this gives more damage but that's pushing it a little. Lethality : Nice boost to your critical damage. If you are criting for say 600, this will upgrade the damage to 660 which is quite nice. Vampirism : You need lifesteal to sustain in a lane. If you have no sustenance you will have to go back A LOT more than you should. Sunder : In my opinion, The best mastery in the offensive tree. Starting the game enemies will have 30 to 50 armor. 6 Armor penetration might seem like a little but it will make a huge difference throughout the game Executioner Since we can get this we get it, you do more damage to things that have low health. |

All Builds Defence Tree
Resistance : Not much to explain here, reduces damage done by attacks that deal magic damage. This will make you more durable but not that much more durable. Hardiness : Again, not much to explain, reduces damage done by attacks that deal physical damage. Will will allow you to blunt out a few more hits. Durability : 108 health at level 18. The more health you have the better. There's nothing else to get. Veteran's Scars : 30 more health at the start is quite good. The more health you have the better. |
Pro / Crit Runes
- greater mark of desolation: You will be dealing Primarily Physical damage and these runes scale best with what you're trying to accomplish and the type of damage you deal. If you have trouble last hitting, then replace THREE of these with Greater Mark of Attack Damage. Only three, you won't need more since at that point last hitting should be easy with your poison adding damage to your attacks.
- Greater Seal of Armor: You will be heading top where most opponents will be physical damage dealers. I do not see anything else you can take and you probably should not take anything else.
- Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist: Pretty standard, these glyphs will make it even harder to burst you down. There is no other choice. You could take flat Magic resist glyphs if you are facing someone who deals magic damage like Poppy or Vladimir but most of the time it will be ad bruisers.
- Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: These are needed to make it easier to last hit. There really isn't anything else you could take for a bruiser teemo like this one. You COULD try taking Armor penetration quints but I don't recommend it. Only do it if you are really really confident in your last hitting and harassing abilities.
Viable Spells
Flash Blinks a short distance
In my opinion a necessary spell. Flash is OP as ****. You can get out of basically any situation if you're near terrain. Just be aware that almost everyone takes flash now and you may get counter flashed sometime. You can also use this as a counter flash your self.
Ignite Deals true damage to target enemy unit
Very good for cleaning up that last bar of health on a low health champ. This is the spell I recommend the most other then flash because it does boost your killing potential
Teleport Teleport to target friendly unit
You can teleport to your shrooms. This spell is pretty good on Teemo for this reason. You can basically shroom the entire map then teleport anywhere you need to go. And the shrooms last for 10 minutes so it is quite an efficient way of getting around quickly.
Heal Heal yourself and others around you
Pretty standard spell, I don't really like taking this but if it works for you then take it. Just remember that the effects on this are greatly reduced by ignite so don't expect this to save you if you were ignited and are at low health, your still probably dead.
Starting items
Standard Starting items. A nice movement speed boost and the 3 health pots will allow you to sustain through damage dealt to you. You will usually take these unless you're laning against high early damage champion like Jayce.
This is what you should be taking when going up against champions like Irelia or Jayce. You NEED the armor and sustain if you think you are going to survive the lane with a squishy champion like Teemo.
First time back
If you can get a phage on your first time back, you will be able to snowball like crazy. The sooner you get phage, the sooner you can start taking control of your lane, so buy this if you can the first time back as it is extremely good.
If you can't afford a phage on your first time back, get double doran's. They give a nice boost in attack damage and health and are good for dominating lane. But take into mind that Phage is always better. If you can get it you will always want to get it. So if you have the amount of gold needed for it and you buy double dorans, you're doing it wrong. This is ONLY if you dont have the gold for a Phage
Core items
At this point you're pretty tanky and should be quite the nuisance to the enemy team. You also deal fair damage and the passive on your ga will let you live longer. This will allow you to win close 1 v 1 encounters and even turn around a fight.
You need to become even bulkier, it's not your job to tank the ad carry, but you do need defenses against ap carries, specially ones that deal heavy aoe damage like Karthus, Morgana and Orianna. Wit's end and Maw will make you unburstable, and Bloodthirster will allow you to sustain damage, and teemo can life steal A Lot of health. These items will also give you a spectacular damage boost that will make you a huge threat and powerful splitpusher.
