Zed is a very fun champ to play and to me is one of the most fun champions to play because of his superior burst. You get the satisfaction of using your Death Mark on a squishy champ that you just caught out by themselves in the jungle. very high damage, high burst and high kill potential champion. He has tons of mobility if you synergize his W, Living Shadow and his ult, Death Mark. Zed is a champion that in my opinion can be called a "Play Maker" because of the plays and jukes you can make with this champion.

Greater Mark of Armor Penetration: These Marks are the best choice for Zed. Since Zed is an AD Assassin it makes him even a more threat. It adds on more armor pen to the items you will build in game and will make you an even scarier threat. Not only will you crush the enemy squishies harder but you will also deal even more damage to tanks with tons of armor.
Greater Seal of Armor: These Seals are good on Zed because it will help you against enemy AD's a little and also laning phases against enemy mid/top laners. It is also good because Zed is an AD assassin meaning he is very squishy so he can survive some damage against AD champions.
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: These Glyphs are good on Zed for the same reason of the Armor Seals but for Ability Power. They grant extra magic resist and help you in the mid lane against mage abilities.
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: These Quintessence's are self explanatory why they're good on Zed. They give you a flat amount of extra AD to start off with in game helping you do more overall damage and last hit during the laning phase.

Flash is a good engage/disengage summoner spell. It can help you get out of sticky situations incase your Living Shadow is down. Flash can be used offensively and defensively. An example of using Flash offensively is when the enemy is low and you flash for a kill. An exmaple of using Flash defensively is if the enemy is chasing you and you use it to gain distance between you and them.

Ignite is a good kill secure summoner spell. It can secure kills if your enemy laner gets behind their turret and you manage to get ignite on them and kill them while they're under the protection of their turret. It is also a good spell to use against champions such as Dr. Mundo during his ult. Ignite reduces healing of the target enemy unit by 50%

You can get Barrier but I highly recommend not to. This is because zed can easily escape with 2 different abilities/spells (+ Flash) and also if you exchange it for Ignite you lose a kill secure and for Flash you lose an escape. Also, in my opinion I think Ignite + Flash is the best and most standard combo, you can change the meta and try new things.

You can get Ghost but again, highly recommend not to. It is good but it is not as good as a gap closer or dis-engage as Flash. Ghost is a good spell but some aspects in Ghost are weaker than some aspects in Flash and so on.

These are the standard skills for Zed. The skill you main first can be interchangeable between Razor Shuriken and Shadow Slash. If you main your Razor Shuriken first, it lowers the cost of casting it which is good because it makes zeds skills more spammable, it also buffs its damage. If you main your Shadow Slash first, it buffs its damage and your Living Shadow Shadow Slash slow.

Zed has a few combo tricks up his sleeve that you can use against enemies.

level 3-4 combo -> -> -> ->
level 6 combo -> -> -> -> -> ->
Your level 6 combo you can use Living Shadow before your ult if you need to close the gap. Also, don't forget to use the Blade of the Ruined King active and Ignite during your ult.

These boots are the best because it helps you catch people or run away from people. You gain bonus movement speed when out of battle for a period of time. I mainly get this first because it is the best item in the game in my opinion. It has the highest amount of attack damage and lifesteal when it has 30 stacks. This item is good because it is a mix of a few things. Black Cleaver is good because it grants a decent amount of health, cdr and a nice amount of damage. It also provides 10% armor penetration. Blade of the Ruined King is a nice item to get on Zed. It is good because of it's passive and active. Blade of the Ruined King buffs your Death Mark damage because the Blade of the Ruined King active deals extra damage. This item is a must have on Zed because it gives bonus ad plus a large amount of armor penetration. It buffs zed a lot because it shreds through armor with other items such as Black Cleaver so tanks and bruisers won't be as much of a problem to deal with. Guardian Angel is a good item to get on zed because of its passive. This item gives armor and magic resistance but also lets the champion revive when killed with 30% of your health and mana.[/column]

Zed is an extremely fun champion to play. He can make seriously good plays that can make jaws drop of your enemies (even your team mates).
