Who am I and why Trundle?

Hi, im kingkoes05! I am 15 years old, I live in the Netherlands and I am a league player since 2014. I choose to make this guide because I really like the style of . I started playing him, because my brother got the skin and I liked it. Now I am levelling my second account to level 30 to play some ranked games with him. But that is enough about me.

Trundle's abilities

Is a simple passive: if an enemy dies near you you restore a percent of its max health.

is an empowered basic attack that deals some damage, slows the target and takes attack damage away from the enemy while you gain attack damage for 5 seconds. You max this ability first.

Gives you an area for 8 seconds that gives you a percentage movement speed, a percentage attack speed and a percentage increased healing. You max this second.

Creates a pillar for 6 seconds that knocks enemies up and slows them. It is great to block spots in the jungle. You can also stop channels with it. Max this last.

Steals 40 percent of the enemies armor and magic resist and deals a percentage max health damage over 5 seconds.

Trundle's pro's and cons

PROS

+ Great healthy clear
+ Easy to learn
+ Good against tanks
+ Great solo objective taking
+ Good early game
+ Enemy's don't know how to play against you
+ Great duelling power

CONS

- Low outplay potential
- Just walks and stomps you to death
- Bad against the meta picks
- Has some really bad matchups
- Falls a bit off late game
- Bad engage
- Need some kills to be viable

Summoner spells

SUMMONER SPELLS

FLASH: Most people use this as their summoner spell. Great to escape ganks or you can use towards someone to finish them off.

SMITE: You need this to with trundle.

TELEPORT: Perfect for splitpushing. If your team needs you in a fight you can just to them.

GHOST: My favourite summoner spell with . In my opinion better then because you can chase opponents down and run away very quick.

IGNITE: As you take this into enemy teams with lots of healing. As toplaner you can take this for your 1v1's but you won't have an escape as you will also take .

EXHAUST: As you take this if the enemy team has lots of dashes to get to your backline.

Conqueror runes

KEYSTONE
Conqueror: With this rune Trundle has some great duelling power. And it is the best option for splitpushing because you will have to 1v1 a lot.

Triumph: Takedowns give you gold and you will get a bit of heal to stay longer in the fights.

Legend: Alacrity: Takedowns give you attack speed. Gives you attack speed to finish off towers and minions fast while splitpushing.

Coup de Grace: Deal more damage to low health opponents. This bit of damage gives you the damage to finish your enemy off before he can escape.

Situational items

The situational items are depending on the enemy champions. For example for lots of healing, for lots of ap, for extra armor in duels. is also an option for . isn't good with but can be used in his build. You can take if you prefer that over , but I think is better as you will kill tanks easy with your and you just get more value out of attack speed as .

Top playstyle normal matchup

So you are playing against . will try to take some trades with to and then he will end the fight with his . You can't really do anything to his trading because you will hit the . You need to focus on your own trading pattern. If he tries to go for minions, you can walk up to him and go for a quick AA AA for some damage. If he wants to trade with you after that, you can fight it because you already have some stacks so you can win it. Against every champion you want to focus on your own trading pattern. Late you try to split, as is more a teamfighter, you will keep him away from the teamfights.

Top playstyle bad matchup

So you are playing in a game and you come up against , because you forgot to ban him. This is what you want to do. You must play very safe until you get some ganks from your . If you see that he walks up a bit too much you can try to AA and for a quick trade. In the midgame you can win from in a 1v1 and you will try to splitpush the rest of the game.

Jungle playstyle

Trundle Jungle

As you will start your clear on the bottom side of the map. If you start at the blue you take blue> gromp> wolves> red> scuttle. If you start at the red you will take red> wolves> blue> gromp> scuttle. You won't take the raptors in your first clear as it takes so long to kill them. If the dragon spawns you can check if your botlane has the priority and you can even take dragon solo. In the mid and endgame you will play in teamfights around objectives, or you will just clear your if there is no objective up.

My personal thoughts about Trundle

REWORK

I like this because you don't need to be very good at the game to succeed with him. I do think his kit is a bit outdated and belongs in the old League of Legends. As you can only walk and have no ranged abilities/dashes and he doesn't really have great cc either.

I would love to see a rework for he just feels so weak in the current meta. reminds me of the old . I liked the old a lot but he just ran around like and I think they did a great job with the rework. So I would like to see the same for .
