Hi all,

Welcome to my Void Spawning Garen Build. I'd like to keep this short and simple. Above is the build, including the build path. You should swap the build order to your needs in combat. I do recommend the early Zz'Rot Portal, Black Cleaver and Boots as CORE.

The playstyle is simple enough. With the Runes, Masteries, some Courage and Core items Garen is decently tanky while maintaining a threat to the enemy team. Once you finish your voidling spawning Zz'Rot Portal you can apply light pressure on two points of the map, or heavy pressure in one lane.

I like to drop a zz portal under my turret and Teleport to another lane for a good gank. This way you will still accumulate some gold and slight lane pressure while you go away. The enemy lamer has to make one of two less favorable decisions. Will he or she follow your gank? If so, he might loose a turret since your lane is pushing (without you being there). If he decides to take your turret, it will cost a little more effort (and perhaps frustration) in exchange for an extra 25 gold...

You can also drop the portal in your teammates lane. It will help push and probably give you some extra gold. However make sure your team doesn't start raging for you taking there minions or pushing the lane unwanted.

The Zz'Rot Portal will also help you gain gold more quickly. This means you can buy more expensive items. I prefer Critical strike Garen since the damage output is insane. I take Phantom Dancer first, because 12% damage reduction, 30% critical strike chance and being able to rush through minions during a short chase makes for a spooky Garen. After that it is time to amplify damage with more Critical strikes and Attack damage. You will be tanky enough to not die instantly and with your ult up you can 1v1 or even 1v2 most champions. Don't go running in a 2v5 or something, because you are nowhere near invincible.

I'd recommend you just try this one out a couple of times. Remember, if you somehow are really behind in game and you and your team need someone to be supertanky, you can always just buy complete tank items after the above stated core items to become a normal tank. (although I can highly recommend Youmuu's Ghostblade if you decide to build tank Garen with a little more damage output.

To end this short build: Crit Garen is the most fun Garen. just do it!
