Spells

I chose exhaust because it is great for slowing enemies so that your team can kill them or escape. I chose flash because its amazing for escaping or to set up a chain to secure a kill.

Items

My Item Set might look awkward to some people. This is because I like to show what builds into certain items so you know what to buy when you don't have enough money for the complete item. As you can tell I mainly focused on tankiness.

Runes

Greater Marks of Armor, Greater Seals of Armor, and Greater Glyphs of Magic Resist are great for a tanky support. For your Quintessences you can go Movement speed, Health Regeneration, or Cooldown Reduction.

Skill Sequence

You can get your (Q) Death Sentence or (E) Flay at level one. I prefer to get my (Q) Death Sentence. No matter what max out your (Q) Death Sentence first. We max out our (E) Flay before our (W) Lantern because it passively increases the damage dealt in Thresh's basic attack.

Team Work

Communication is key when playing League of Legends but especially when playing as Thresh. You need to communicate when you are going to use your lantern so teammates don't waste flashes or run away from u to escape enemies. Your team also needs to know when you are going in for a chain so that they can kill that enemy champion.
