Image One (Screwblum's Skyrim): The background was made from a few things. One was an abstract sort of swirly background that only covered half the image (as it's a small file). I then duplicated the image, so it'd cover the whole background. I set this background as "overlay". I then applied another image on top of everything - basically a star scape. Just a simple multicoloured universe image. I set this image to "overlay" as well, and erased with a low opacity brush the parts of this layer I didn't want. Last but not least, I duplicated the layer and created a new layer with some splatter brushes you can see to the right. I set the duplicated layer as the clipping mask to the brush layer to achieve the final result.

Image Two (TexasDeviant's Akali Banner): Here I did a few things. First I applied a "crisp" filter through Topaz Labs, erasing the parts that didn't look good (face). I then applied a red photo filter. The text is easy. Just use the standard text, choose an appropriate gradient and then apply "inner glow" (play with settings until desired result is achieved).

Image Three (Master Yi): K, this is a little harder. I copied the original render, and sharpened it twice. I then set this layer at a lower opacity until I felt the image looked right. I then applied about 5-10 C4Ds to the image, above the render and behind it (for example, the green on the sword for on top, and below, the bits behind Yi's head). These C4Ds are either set to "overlay" or other filters. The background is an image I found on Google that I've only altered through filters to suit Yi's colouring.

Catching up ^^ And Janitsu - giving +rep is just common courtesy for the artist working on your request. It'd be like asking for a loaf of bread at a store and not paying for it. If I make you a signature, whether you like it or not, it's nice to receive something for the time and effort I spent on it. If clicking that +rep button is too hard for you to handle... then maybe don't request signatures? :/
