No I'm just bad but like... it really isn't any easier to climb. For me, just much harder (if I'm even trying to).

Kog'Maw or Trist would have worked really well, in my opinion. Graves' range was too short to harass back.

Their early-game is trash and neither of them synergises with Soraka. Makes me wonder, why did you actually pick Soraka? She's a pretty poor choice as a first-pick support especially in soloq.
I picked Soraka when I saw the Nunu pick, as I was expecting the Caitlyn grab. I really should have picked Taric for the armour boost to my ADC. But Nunu+Cait is a really hard lane, and I'm not sure what else would have worked well beyond Taric - even then, Taric is melee and wouldn't be able to take THAT much harass.
