Well, he has something of a gap closer when he scoops up a teammate and runs toward the enemy. Plus, his ultimate can set up some wicked two man ganks. However, those kinds of moves will need some good communication between teammates. Also, you definitely have to build speed boost items on him to overcome his inherent lack of mobility.

It will if I have to explain the obvious to you. Focus the tanky immobile easily cc'd support while the damage dealer is stuck not being able to do anything inside him? Sure. Go for it. Even if you don't get the full kill, both will be low on health, and you can pressure them from then on.

Shen support is better.

This has been my experience as well, as far as support goes. Devour is pretty annoying if you're an assassin but other than that I don't see much appeal. I'd much rather have
