Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 6.14!

This patch includes a mix of changes from support tweaks to a cloud drake buff and the latest Ryze rework. For you Twisted Treeline players out there, there are also a number of item changes this patch, mostly replacing some older TT-specific items with their Summoner's Rift counterparts.

There's quite a variety of changes in this patch and many of them are pretty involved, so we'll keep this summary short and to the point. Make sure to check out the full changes above for any champion(s) you're interested in!

Ryze received a major visual and gameplay update which you can read about here. You can also check out the tooltips for easier access to the rework. His new flexibility with different combos and team-teleport ultimate are sure to make him much more interesting to watch and play.

Sona and Leona also received a number of significant changes that are intended overall to be buffs to each champion. Most notably, their ultimates, Crescendo and Solar Flare, have received new passive effects. Crescendo passively grants CDR for Sona's basic abilities and Solar Flare empowers Leona's autoattacks for a few seconds after casting. Another notable change was to Song of Celerity, which provides a self-speed buff that doesn't decay and can last up to 9 seconds if Sona is out of combat.

Azir and Viktor were both targeted for nerfs as two of the most dominant mid laners. Azir's base damage on his sand soldiers ( Arise!) went down, reducing his reliability especially in mid-game before he has completed many AP items. Viktor's Glorious Evolution was also changed so that his first Hex Core upgrade costs more gold and the final upgrade costs less (making the overall gold cost the same, but more expensive in the early stages of the game).

Our last highlight is the changes to Taliyah, which adjusted the mechanics of Seismic Shove to be vector-cast and it no longer locks Taliyah out of casting other spells. This is a similar mechanic to "drag-and-drop" abilities like The Equalizer and Hextech Ray. Taliyah also received nerfs to Seismic Shove and Unraveled Earth to compensate for the increased reliability of landing her combo.

Twisted Treeline Changes

The Twisted Treeline received a number of changes to jungle rewards and turrets, which you can check out here. In addition, several items were removed and replaced by their Summoner's Rift counterparts.

Added to The Twisted Treeline:

Other Changes

Cloud Drake: 15/30/45 out of combat movement speed ⇒ 25/50/75 out of combat movement speed

  • Champion Mastery has been tweaked for the support role.

    • Support grades now better reflect relative performance in the role.
    • Support grades specifically weigh assists equal to kills, leaving one fewer excuse for bloodthirsty Flash- Ignites.

  • The all-new Nexus Siege mode is coming to the rotating-game-mode queue on back-to-back weekends.

  • Cooldown Pings! The following icons can be pinged to provide information to your team via chat:
    • Abilities (remaining cooldown or insufficient resource warning)
    • Summoner spells (remaining cooldown)
    • Major items (remaining cooldown when relevant, indication of completion otherwise)
    • Vision items, including trinkets (cooldown or ward charges)
    • Health and resource bars (current percent)
    • You can also just click on jungle timers in the tab menu to put them in chat.

Upcoming Skins

The following skins will be released during patch 6.14:

Yay, now I will not kill steal just to get a high grade! And yay at the Sona changes, but I will miss that missing %health heal. That was strong because I was able to outplay my enemies with that.

But nay at the tentative nerfs of Karma at the PBE. I know that it was targeted at the competitive Karma, but that was the only thing that was mostly the thing that she can contribute in a team fight.
Thanks Vengenator for the sig!

Miss Fortune skin is BARELY worth 1350 RP (comparing it to the other two) :// I am sad.

Also, Lux changed, but screw that *****, her burst is so freaking annoying that I cannot sleep at night without my very own Hexdrinker.

Cloud Drake changes are quite nice. 75 movement speed is extremely useful for engaging/chasing.

Honestly, if my team gets 3 cloud drakes in a game, I will just be disappointed :P It STILL is the worst out of the 4 drakes.
