At that level most of what you will learn is just from playing. There's only so much I can tell you that you can absorb when you still have to learn basic mechanics. Read through this thread though and see what I say about roaming, and ask any questions you have here or through PM!

Well, I'm a tier 1 bronze guy who mains mid champs, and while I believe I have the gist of it all, just a few questions.
I usually get AA staff on Veigar, for the purpose of mana and mana regen for more Q's on minions, and because it gives a metric butt ton of AP. My friend argues that Athene's is the better choice because it gives CDR and better mana regen, which is better than the increase of AP and shield. Thoughts on that and my regular build? (Usually ends with: Sorc Shoes, Rabadon, DFG, Zhonya, Seraph, and I think a Lich Bane, Rylai, or RoA)
How should I go about my laning phase? More aggressive and try and harass to lower for the burst? Or just play it safe and farm.
Roam much as Veigar? Yes or No? Cause I never do.
When it comes to harass champs like Cass/Ziggs, or someone like Morde who pushes hard and hurts me for trying to CS, should I take my loses with the CS and wait for them to hit tower, or just be a punching bag but recover a few CS.
Skill order for Veigar? I max Q, and usually my stun first. However, I've recently started trying out getting 3/4 points into Event Horizon, and then maxing Dark Matter. Thoughts?
For Katarina, Roaming = really good right?
Thx for the answers :D

I wouldn't mind some help, if possible.
I just reached level 30 and am trying my hand at ranked games. I main either jungler, ADC bot, or mid. (Of which mostly is Lux, Kennen, Zyra, and a few others).
I especially need help in the item buying department.

You should still roam with veigar for sure.
You should be able to cs safely with Q without taking too much harass from those champs, but if you are eating too much harass then just back off and play it safe at the tower.
Ofc roam with kat. Basically roam with everyone, it's how mid works.
As for the veigar specific questions, he is one of the APs I never ever play, so I'll let my friend PsiGuard answer them =o
@Cruel, if you are having item issues, check out guides on here (high elo ones), solomid.net, lolking.net, and lolpro.com. Those help a lot, I even reference some guides from time to time if I'm not sure how to build a specific champ I don't usually play (masteries, runes, w/e).

Laning phase rather depends on the matchup. Veigar is pretty strong in his first couple levels before most mages have their comboes, so you can try to harass and zone a bit with

You can roam as Veigar. If the other mid roams, you should generally follow them to wherever they're going in order to countergank. Roaming is also a good option if you've broken mid tower or you have the time to leave lane without losing too much farm. If you take

Generally if you're against a heavy harass lane who pushes a lot, you should lasthit under tower as well as you can. It's okay to lose a couple CS if you're zoned. It's better to lose a handful and stay in lane then to lose several waves because you died or were harassed out of lane.
There are several ways to skill Veigar. I prefer leaving one point in

I also have the top rated Veigar guide on the site if you'd like to read it. Wrath's a great mid but he doesn't ever play Veigar so he asked me to answer these questions for him.

Hey i need some help in mid.
I used to be a good solo top at least in my level (Bronze 1-2) but after losing lot of games by being top(couldn't control the other lanes much) i started playing on mid.
I will list you my main mid champions and how i do with them
Akali is my main champion for mid and in general.I stomp my lane always then roam around getting fed but i face a slight problem with heavy cc opponents such as Lux or Malzahar, any tips for that?
As
Diana my second pick,i don't have much experience with her but i have some problems in farming when not having the blue buff or a couple of mana potions
My main question and area i need enlightment is:
Can you list me some strong mid champs who have high burst+strong late game?Because when playing
Akali or
Diana i face some problems in late game,i focus their ad carry but i get shut down if my combo isn't successful.
Any other picks to suggest me?
PS:I play in EUNE

For opponents with CC, just wait to use ult when they toss their CC. Wait for lux to Q, and then q ult her and dodge the Q. With Malz, just put down shroud the second he puts down his pool so he can't ult you.
With Diana, just last hit and use your passive to wave clear; using Q helps too.
They are both really strong mids.

Got some experience with
Katarina now, but are there any situations where I should get
Hextech Gunblade? I usually start with 9P+2W, rush
Haunting Guise and Boots, then if I'm just ridiculously fed I rush cap but if not Abyssal/Zhonyas. I usually throw in a
Warmog's Armor when I have around 250-350 AP. I've never built a gunblade on her and I'm just wondering if I should ever do so?
And I'm planning to get
Akali or
Diana after buying
Hecarim. I know that in your tier list you rank
Akali as wtf tier but how does she differ from/better than kat and diana?

And I'm planning to get
