Ehm, my overlay aint nice at all, i know that :D

Anyways, I'm a Katarina OTP! I've been playing Katarina since I started playing in Season 4. Here you can read a little about my thoughts on this champ. I peaked Master Tier Season 8, which is my highest rank/peak.

I would start of by saying NEVER BUILD THE STANDARD BUILD! You HAVE to change build every game, if you're fed you can rush mejais and snowball the game, if you face zed rush zhonyas, if you face some hard AP matchup rush a hexdrinker. ALWAYS BUILD SITUATIONAL.

Early game;
Always use Q level 1 for either get triple minions, or to poke out enemy so you can step up and farm.

If you get lvl 2 first go Q enemy and shunpo(E) on dagger, and keep fighting him cuz you got the AA-E-AA for AA reset combo. That should give you huge lead, if played correct :)

Level 3 you can start shoving lanes really quick and look for scuttle prio! Really important to help laners/junglers as kata, especially with Dark Seal/Mejais.

Level 6 you can force enemy back with full combo, look for sidelane kills/enemy jungler if you're tracking him correctly.

After that you should have a Revolver & long sword, which means you can oneshot waves and permaroam every wave, that aint canonwave! :P

TEAMFIGHTS;
In teamfights you'll NEVER engage, if you're fed go for backline picks, if you're not fed, you will just wait for team to engage, and look for frontline pickup - reset - backline jump. DONT die in teamfights!

RUNES;
U can go almost every rune on kata, it's actually just whatever you pref. I like the DH for snowballing my lane, but i always go conq against a tanky team (3+ tanks).

Thoughts on kata;
Kata is a hardsnowball champ, win early, win late - get behind early and pray for teammates playing well. Don't splitpush too much, since you often will be the champ with the most dmg. Try call for your team and take the leaderrole (if they are inting ofc). The way i climbed was to watch a lot of the "best" kata players and ask them everytime they did something new, "Why you engage that, why you go there, why didn't you roam, why not shove, why freeze at this point, why do you use such a weird combo". I can recommend watching katlife combovideos & katevolved stream. That's what i did.

Hard matchups;
Talon: Pray to god...
Fizz: Don't let him proc his W mark. Dodge his E. Take advantage of his E being down. Don't get hit by fish or you're dead. Setup Qs on the minions and harass him while hes trying to farm. (katlife words"
