About Me
Hello my name is Exos! I have been a Kha'Zix otp for the past 2 seasons now. Because of Kha'zix I have reached Challenger on EUNE, Master on EUW with a 82% winrate and Grandmaster with a 70% winrate. Currently I'm pushing my way up to Challenger on EUW too! I think my success comes from eating so many kiwis all day.
I regularly stream my gameplay on Twitch and upload vods to my Youtube channel. Feel free to check me out. The words are clickable :)
Sidenote: Acting like Kha'Zix increases your elo.
Why Kha'zix
Abilities

Kha'zix - The Void Predator
Assassin, Bruiser, Jungler
Origin: Void
Speciality: Assassinating squishy targets
Why should you play this magnificent champion? Kha'zix is an excellent assassin to pick up. Kha'zix excels against multiple squishy enemies because of his ability to reposition quickly and effectively to assassinate targets or to escape from battle. Kha'zix is a champion for people who love to be slippery, unpredictable and a pain in the *** to the enemy team. Kha'zix is great to solo carry games with but takes a lot of practice to do so consistently. Abusing vision and rotations are something you need to learn and master in order to become a great Kha'zix player.
Pros & Cons
PROS
+ Deals a lot of damage
+ Can reposition with E and R
+ Able to clean up multiple targets per fight
+ Can be build Assassin & Bruiser
+ Is from the void? Duh
+ Massive slow when W is evolved

All in all, Kha'zix is a very versatile Jungler because of the multiple ways of building him. Assassin & Bruiser are two completely different playstyles and buildpaths. These 2 styles have in common that they are still able to dish out lots of damage and be very mobile at the same time. Obviously Kha'Zix is 30x better than Rengar :)
CONS
- Has barely any CC until W evo
- Reliant on laners for ganks
- Dependant on Isolation as Assassin
- Squishy as Assassin
- Has mediocre DPS. Most damage is burst.
- Not the best jungler for teamfights

Kha'Zix has his flaws just as any other jungler. Ganking with Kha'zix can be hard if your laners don't have proper CC or the enemy have large dashes. Kha'zix is very reliant on his isolation in order to oneshot squishy targets with his Q. Enemies can play smart and stick together which does not allow Kha'zix to efficiently pick off an enemy.
Runes

DOMINATION
This domination page shows the most efficient rune page for assassin Kha'Zix. The main keystone for Kha'Zix is Dark Harvest. Dark Harvest is an incredibly strong and underrated rune choice because of how hard this rune can snowball games for Kha'Zix. Not all ganks result in kills, summoners can be popped and the gank is still succesful but add a Dark Harvest stack to that which increases your damage permanently throughout the game. These little additions add up and start to shine around mid-game where you proc Dark Harvest multiple times during fights.
For the second row you always want to take Sudden Impact over the others. Sudden Impact gives you an amount of lethality depending on your level when you use your E or exit your R. This lethality increased your damage output by ignoring armor. Therefore Sudden Impact is the best choice for assassin Kha'Zix
In the 3th row there are 2 possible choices. Either Zombie Ward or Eyeball Collection. I would advise running Zombie Ward in Diamond 4 and above elos because below diamond the amount of wards placed is low and it gets hard to stack your Zombie Ward fully. Eyeball Collection is a great alternative that stacks on kills & assists making it a great alternative to Zombie Ward. Both runes give AD when you stack them. Since more AD means more damage on every skill Kha'Zix has we always want to choose one of the two runes.
In the last row you ALWAYS want to opt for Treasure Hunter. Snowballing is essential on this champion and this rune allows for extra gold income. The faster you get to your spikes the better Kha'Zix becomes.

For the second tree I advise looking at the runes at the top of the guide. However I personally always take Magical Footwear & Cosmic Insight on assassin Kha'Zix
Runes Bruiser

PRECISION
This is the rune page for bruiser Kha'Zix. Bruiser Kha'Zix revolves around the combination of Conqueror & Black Cleaver. Conqueror offers immense sustain and stat boost early on in the game. Because of this your early game will be a lot easier versus hard jungle matchups. Conqueror allows you to duel early in the game before you have leveled Void Assault and allows u to contest scuttles in the early minutes. Combined with Black Cleaver, Kha'Zix becomes fairly ''tanky'' in terms of tankiness for ''assassins''. Kha'Zix turns into a bruiser that can take a punch while simultaneously dishing out a lot of damage while gaining movement speed, healing & extra AD from the combination.
In the second row of the Precision rune tree there are two decent good options for Kha'Zix. Because you will be evolving W every game on bruiser Kha'Zix presence of mind is a good choice of rune as you will find yourself getting out of mana quite frequently without blue buff or without this rune. For every takedown you get it will award you with 15% of your maximum mana and also grants you extra mana while in combat with enemies which makes it highly unlikely you will run out of mana again. If you are not planning on giving a teammate your blue buff then you can also opt for Triumph which gives you 20 extra gold on takedowns and heals you for 12% of your missing health. This can come in clutch and save u during rough fights or it can help you dive and take an extra tower shot.
In the third row of the Precision rune tree there are yet again two options you can consider. The most frequest and the best option being Legend: Tenacity. This rune allows you to gain an extra 30% of tenacity which means that you will suffer shorter from CC effects If, for some weird reason, the enemy team barely has any CC then taking Alacrity is a great option. Takedowns and monsterkills will award you with attack speed which will increase your clear speed, objective speed & dueling power because you will be able to get more autoattacks in before cooldowns come up. However, 9/10x Legend: Tenacity is a better option.
In the final row of the Precision rune tree there are, yes I know I'm becoming repetitive, yet again 2 rune choices that are viable. Most of the times Coup de Grace is the most viable rune. Coup de grace increases ur damage by an extra 8% against enemies below 40% health. Since you will be fighting a lot this rune is usually the most straight forward option. In some cases you will face team compositions that consist of bruisers & tanks that have large health numbers. In that case taking Cut Down is an extremely efficient choice. Cut Down increases ur damage by 5%-15% if the enemy has 10-100% more max health than you do. So if the enemy has 50% more max health you will deal an extra 10%. If the enemy has 10% more max health you will deal 5% extra and if the enemy has 100% more max health you will deal an extra 15% amount of damage. This rune is great for dismantling tanks together with the healing from Conqueror and the armor shredding from Black Cleaver. For the small runes you always want to take double adaptives + armor. Attack speed has less influence than the AD you get from the double adaptives.

For the second tree there are two option. You either run Ravenous Hunter & Sudden Impact for insane amounts of healing and a small damage boost or you run Magical Footwear + Cosmic Insight for more mobility and lower cooldowns. Personally I would recommend the Ravenous Hunter & Sudden Impact combination.
Items (Jungle)

Gustwalker Hatchling
The Gustwalker Hatchling is a good choice for Kha'zix. This smite upgrade enables Kha'Zix to use his Void Assault more efficiently with the movement speed granted when coming from bushes. In late fights this movement speed allows you to travel way more distance and make you more unpredictable./columns]
Core Items

Since current patch onwards, ghostblade is the most essential mythic for Kha. Allowing for insanely strong lethality bursts on 100 stacks and great movement across the map. Duskblade is a bait item and should be avoided as Kha benefits greatly from the mythic passive of Ghostblade and its passives.
Summoner Spells

SUMMONER SPELLS
-
FLASH: Flash is an essential summoner. It allows you to close gaps to kill the enemy or to escape from the enemy. There is no debate possible about this rune.
SMITE: Just as Flash, Smite is a non negotiable summoner spell for every jungler. You can not build jungle items without smite so make sure to always take smite.
Abilities
PASSIVE ABILITY
Unseen Threat
✦ When Kha'Zix has been out of vision he gains Unseen Threat which causes his next basic attack to an enemy champion to deal an extra 14-150 (based on level) (+0.4 per bonus attack damage) magic damage while slowing the enemy for 25% for 2 seconds.

✦ Unseen Threat lasts until used and has no cooldown. This means that if kha walks out of vision and then back into vision, Unseen Threat will be procced on the first basic attack on the enemy champion.
Q
Taste Their Fear
✦ Taste Their Fear is a point and click skill that deals 60 / 85 / 110 / 135 / 160 (+1.3 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to a single target. If the target happens to be isolated the damage of this skill is increased by 100%

✦ Passive: Marks isolated enemies with a circle around them indicating they are isolated.
W
Void Spike
✦ Kha'Zix fires a spike forward that explodes on contact dealing 85 / 115 / 145 / 175 / 205 / 235 (+1.0 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to all nearby enemies.

✦ Kha'Zix is healed by 60 / 85 / 110 / 135 / 160 (+50% of ability power) if he is within the explosion radius. Void Spikes cannot be cast during Leap.
E
Leap
✦ Kha'Zix leaps to an area, dealing 65 / 100 / 135 / 170 / 205 (+0.2 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to enemies in the area he lands.
R
Void Assault
✦ Kha'Zix enters stealth for 1.25 seconds ignoring unit collision and gains Unseen Threat, gaining 40% movement speed. Kha'Zix can cast Void Assault again within 10 seconds after activation.

✦ There is a 2 second cooldown between each cast of Void Assault.
EVOS
Evolutions
✦ Taste Their Fear: Evolved Reaper Claws: Kha'Zix gains 50 bonus range on his basic attacks and Taste Their Fear. If the target is Isolated, 45% of Taste Their Fear's cooldown is refunded.

✦ Void Spike: Void Spike fires three clusters in a cone, slows by 60% and grants sight of enemy champions hit for 2 seconds. Isolated targets hit by Evolved Void Spike are slowed by 90% instead.

✦ Void Assault: Void Assault's stealth duration is increased to 2 seconds per cast and the number of casts is increased to 3.

EVOLUTION Skill: Taste Their Fear
// Evolving Taste Their Fear will contribute to a faster clear and a great duel potential in 1v1 fights. On top of the fast clear, rushing objectives like drake and herald goes drastically faster with the 45% CD refund gained from the isolated objectives. Counter jungling is faster and safer since you will clear the camps faster and therefore will be able to leave the enemy jungle faster.

Q: Is this a viable evolve in the current meta?
// Q evolve is and will always be a consistent evolve in order to clear and get objectives. In the current meta Q evolve is a really good evolution to take at level 6. Due to the removal of machete, jungle clears are slower without Q evolve and getting that evolve can really fix your clear timing and give you more pressure to gank lanes. When catching an enemy that is rotating you usually dont need multiple Taste Their Fear's to kill him. Having the slow you get from the Void Spike evolve or the more utility you gain from the Void Assault evolve is more valuable in order to catch and secure kills in the current meta. Right now I would recommend taking this evolution at level 6.

EVOLUTION Skill: Void Spike
// Evolving Void Spike allows you to disengage and hunt down enemies. The 60% slow which increases to a 90% slow (near root) allow you to catch up to anyone and to disengage from anyone. Going from 1 spike to 3 spikes is a huge improvement it allows you to zone enemies off from certain positions like Drake and Baron

Q: Is this a viable evolution in the current meta?
// Yes. This evolution is AMAZING in the current meta. I would advise picking up this evolution at level 11/16. This evolution is what makes Kha'zix a pesky bug that can play utility based for his team by slowing the enemies but do not be mistaken. This ability also deals a ton of damage. A damaging nuke combined with a near rooting slow. You can not skip this evolve in the current meta

EVOLUTION Skill: Leap
// Evolving Leap Will drastically increase Leap's range and on every kill/assist your E will reset. This allows you to do risky plays by jumping over a wall to oneshot the ADC or Midlaner or whoever is squishy and to jump back in time before hell breaks loose. This evolve makes u very slippery and allows you to abuse the bad positioning of the enemy even more.

Q: Is this a viable evolve in the current meta?
// Yes this evolve is viable in the current meta. I would advise evolving Leap at lvl 16 usually. It is possible to evolve it at lvl 11 if you are very ahead and snowballing vs a squishy team.

EVOLUTION Skill: Void Assault
// Evolving Void Assault is one of the best evolutions there are in the current meta. Evolving Void Assault allows you to position yourself perfectly for ganks and outplays. The evolve allows you to be invisible for 2 whole seconds 3x. For example, you can travel from the mid bush all the way to the middle of the lane with one R charge ending up behind the enemy. This puts u in melee range against a lot of ranged enemies and allows you to drop a full combo before they start running.

Q: Is this a viable evolve in the current meta?
// YES YES YES. A lot of players dislike this evolution but it allows for the most outplay potential. I evolve it at level 11 right after Q to be able to pick people off and clear at a high speed. It just adds so much outplay and gank potential to your gameplay. If you are unpredictable and know how to use your ultimate in such a good way you can find insane amounts of free kills by predicting enemy pathing. If you are curious. Head over to my twitch to see some ridiculous ult plays. Here is one example of how to use R evolve.
Mechanics
Resetting Passive
During fights with a bush close Kha'Zix can reset his passive multiple times by walking in and out the bush and basic attacking the enemy. After basic attacking go back inside the bush and out in order to reset passive. If you want to be smart and know the bush is warded, throw down a pink ward in the bush otherwise you will not be resetting your passive.

Flash + W
Kha'Zix's Void Spike is just like Cassiopeia her ultimate or Ahri her Charm. If you press Void Spike and use Flash instantly after it will fire the Void Spike from the location u Flashed from. This allows u to surprise enemies and snipe targets to slow them, predicting enemy flashes and finishing off far away enemies.

Double Jumping
Double jumping is what Kha'Zix is famous for but how do you do it? It sounds fairly simple but it can be hard at times. Basically, you need to kill someone or get an assist while you are inside your Leap animation. How do you do that? Simple, you can cast your Taste Their Fear while you are jumping over your target. If you manage to kill your target inside the jump, spam E to the next place you want to jump and you will perform a double jump.
Jungle Path
Blue Start

This is the clear path I usually take on Kha'Zix. I rarely deviate from this path.

1. blue buff
2. gromp
3. wolf
4. raptor
5. red buff
6. Gank / krug
7. scuttle

This clear allows you to be level 3 before you enter the side of your red buff. This allows you to escape from most invades. Always place a ward at the opposite side of the map where u start, then base for a red lens.
Red Start

I rarely start by clearing red buff but when I do this is my path.

1. red buff
2. raptor
3. wolf
4. blue buff
5. gromp
6. Gank / krug
7. Scuttle

This clear gets you level 3 after clearing blue buff which is very late. You will be very prone to ganks. I only take this path if I do not want to meet up with the enemy jungler and try to start on the same buff he does so I will not meet him at scuttle .
Teamfighting
Teamfighting with Kha'Zix
Teamfighting as Kha'Zix can be confusing and hard. Your main goal in the teamfights is to poke with your W slowing enemies while looking for an opening.

Keeping your eyes on the map and on the enemies is vital at this point. If you see an enemy rotating to a side lane or from a side lane, try to catch them. Make sure you are using your red lens in order to find out if you are running over wards.
Be prepared to be outperformed by many other junglers in teamfights. Kha'Zix is simply not made for teamfighting. With the Void Assault & Void Spike evolves he does impact teamfights but champions like Zac outperform Kha'Zix no matter how far they fall behind. In order to win teamfights as Kha'Zix you need to ensure that teamfights are favoured in your way. Make teamfights 5v4 or 5v3 by catching squishies pathing through spots where u can be hiding. Popping flashes by hiding in bushes already greatly swing the odds in your favour for the next teamfight.
Late Game

Late Game As Kha'Zix
-
Playing around objectives in the late game is vital for the win. Kha'zix excels at stealing objectives and bursting them down. Combining a Taste Their Fear with Smite can cause a lot of damage. If you are ever forced in a situation where you should steal in the late game make sure to evaluate the situation. Can you steal the objective? Yes? Is it worth doing so? If you evaluate wrong as Kha'Zix and you die while you are the only one that can deal with the squishies you have to be careful with those actions.
Keep vision up on your team by placing Control Wards in spots where u can see enemies walking past. If you happen to spot an enemy walking on his own deduct where the other enemies were and if you are sure he is alone try to go for a collapse. One pick can determine so much in the late game. Keeping vision down of the enemy team is also one of your tasks. Run together with your support to clear vision while keeping an eye on the enemy and objectives.
