About Me Back to Top
Hello my name is Exos! I have been a Kha'Zix otp for the past 2 seasons now. I have reached Challenger on EUNE, Master on EUW with a 82% winrate and Grandmaster with a 70% winrate. Currently I'm pushing my way up to Challenger on EUW too! When Lillia got released I immediately tried picking her up. I quickly found out Lillia is an absolute monster in the right hands with her mobility and oppresive ult. I think my success comes from eating so many kiwis all day.
I regularly stream my gameplay on Twitch and upload vods to my Youtube channel. Feel free to check me out. The words are clickable :)
Why Lillia Back to Top
Abilities

Lillia - The Bashful Bloom
AoE Mage, Jungler
Origin: Spirit
Speciality: Mobility, counter jungling and global sleep
Why should you play this magnificent champion? Lillia is the latest released champion so far meaning that no one has found the right way to play Lillia. Lillia is still very versatile and confusing to most players. Learning Lillia is a great way to improve your rank currently as you will have an advantage over most players who are confused by her. Now about Lillia herself, Lillia is a champion that excels at running across the map while keeping her passive stacks up. Counter jungling with her is extremely easy because she can escape the enemy jungle safely with her passive Dream-Laden Bough. Lillia can be a great engager with her Blooming Blows into Lilting Lullaby allowing her to sleep the entire team if pulled off correctly. Lillia is a great champ to single handedly carry games with her presence.
Pros & Cons Back to Top
PROS
+ Deals a lot of damage.
+ Very mobile thanks to her passive.
+ Able to iniate and disengage teamfights.
+ Can be built more tanky when needed
+ Extremely fast at counter jungling and safe.
+ Able to pull off a lot of ganks due her speed.
+ Global sleep (Also E)

All in all, Lillia is a great champion that is able to pull off a lot of things with her kit that involve movement speed. Able to iniate teamfights from global range thanks to her E and R combination and just very present in every game due to her incredibly strong and safe counter jungling.
CONS
- No hard CC before level 6
- Sleep takes time to commence allowing enemies to potentially escape
- Squishy if full AP.
- Close ranged so suffers vs bullies like Darius
- Can not tank at all. (needs tank to help in fights)
- New champion harder to learn

Lillia has her weaknesses just like any other champion. Lillia her weaknesses are mainly due to her needing time to test her limits. You will get used to the sleep mechanism and know how to time it after a decent amount of games. Lillia struggles versus assasins and bruisers like Darius or Kha'Zix that can oneshot and punish her when she gets too close to them. Lillia if build full ap is not a good tank and therefore needs someone else with her to properly fight the teamfights. Lillia is a new champion which makes her harder to learn as there is no pre-set playstyle, lane or build given to her.
Runes Back to Top

DOMINATION
This domination page shows the most efficient rune page for AP Lillia. Lillia's main keystone should always be Dark Harvest. Dark Harvest is incredibly underrated and scales up extremely hard over the course of the game. In every succesful gank or takedown Lillia should be able to get a stack of Dark Harvest due to her passive ticking down enemies. When the enemy ends up below 50% hp the passive will deal Dark Harvest damage and grant her a stack.
In the second row picking Cheap Shot is the best option for Lillia as the other choices do not offer her anything relevant. Lillia has no real useful dash making Sudden Impact useless to take. Taste of Blood is a rune for laners and barely useable for Lillia in the jungle. Cheap Shot is procced on her E and R and in addition to that also procced with her Q or W when she acquires a Rylai's Crystal Scepter
In the 3th row there are 2 viable runes to pick. I personally prefer having vision control. Both Zombie Ward and Eyeball Collection give the same adapative stats in the end. In higher elo games (diamond+) games usually have more wards. I would advise picking zombie ward there to be able to clear out vision with your red trinket and gain some free vision for your team. Stacking Zombie Ward in lower elos might be hard due to the lack of vision. Taking Eyeball Collection is a better choice there due to the constant fighting going on. If you happen to get involved and get takedowns you can easily stack the rune fully.
In the last row you should always to take Ravenous Hunter. Ravenous Hunter allows you to clear and counter jungle while keeping your health bar full. The other 2 options are obsolete. You get enough movement speed from your passive that Relentless Hunter becomes abundant. Your ultimate is already on a very low cooldown for an unlimited range sleep. Taking Ultimate Hunter is over the top. With Ravenous Hunter you can clear like a fiddlesticks with 550 movementspeed.

For the second tree I advise looking at the runes at the top of the guide. These runes are Nimbus Cloak and Waterwalking. These runes synergize perfectly with your passive allowing you to become even more mobile. Using a Q + Flash combo puts you deep into the enemy team and most likely also fast enough to surprise them and run out while casting your ultimate. For Lillia always take double adaptive + armor. Lillia has no use for attack speed as her skills will outdamage her auto attacks quite fast. Opting for adaptiv AP is always the better choice.
Items Back to Top

-OR-
Emberknife
You take Emberknife when you are playing against a jungler that can burst you down easily. Such as Kha'Zix. Emberknife lowers the damage output of the targeted enemy by 20% giving you a major advantage in 1v1's.

Hailblade
The Hailblade offers a completely different playstyle than the Emberknife does. When you smite your opponent while having the Hailblade you steal 20% of the target their movement speed. This allows you to chase squishy targets such as ADCs and midlaners while it also allows you to use the smite defensively to slow down the enemy, speed up yourself and run away. Hailblade is great with Dark Harvest because it is able to proc it!

Core

The first item you want to build on Lillia right now is Liandry's Anguish. This item synergizes extremely well with Lillia's passive. It allows you to tick down tanks and bruisers effectively while maintaining a lot of damage against squishy targets as well. The item is great and it offers a good mythic passive granting 5 ability haste per completed item. The ability haste allows you to get your skills quicker off cooldown and keep your movement speed high and dps high!

During building your mythic, you can opt for a Dark Seal early on if you find yourself in a good spot to buy one. Usually I buy one and an amplifying tome on the first base. Picking up Boots while building your mythic is also recommended

Finishing boots after your mythic item is your best choice here. You want to be fast and having a good pair of boots instead of flip flops make you faster. The decision of which boots depends on the enemy team. Usually you will be taking Sorcerer's Shoes the most for the magic penetration they offer. In full AD/AP or heavy CC matchups you will need to alternate between Ninja Tabi for full AD comps and Mercury's Treads for AP heavy or CC heavy compositions.

Build Example

This would be an example build for Lillia. This build is very AP focused and you will be fairly beefy HP wise but lack some defensive stats. This is the ideal build in order to solo carry while deleting enemies on the map. In addition to the core there is a Demonic Embrace, Zhonya's Hourglass, Void Staff and a Cosmic Drive

The Demonic Embrace functions just as Lillia's passive and Liandry's Anguish. It does not scale on AP but it deals max %hp based damage just like Lillia's passive. It boosts your dps by quite a large amount depending on the HP of the targets. Since in S11 there is a lot of tank meta going on this item is really great. On top of the %hp damage it allows you to stack up resistances during a fight for a short duration. This on top of your speed makes you hard to catch and kill when both are stacked up.

The Zhonya's Hourglass offers survivability into the kit allowing you to make plays deeper into the enemy team with the ability to make yourself invulnerable for 2,5 seconds. This opens up the possiblity and opportunity to Q + Flash into the enemy team followed by your ultimate + Zhonya's Hourglass allowing you to safely put asleep most of the enemy team forcing either flashes or their lives.

Last, the Void Staff is a good choice. Most of the times when you build this item last, the enemy has already bought a fair amount of magic resist. In order to counter their magic resist opting for a Void Staff on Lillia is a great idea to dish out more DPS lategame and keep shredding the enemies together with your Liandry's Anguish.

Situational Items

There are multiple situational items that suit Lillia. The first one would be Morellonomicon. This item is great versus teamcomps that have a lot of healing. This item could be built instead of Void Staff or Banshee's Veil. This item shines vs Yuumi, Vladimir and any lifesteal item.

Another item which might sound weird is Dead Man's Plate. This item gives you a lot of movement speed which synergises perfectly with your passive. It gives you a lot of tanky stats allowing you to be a lot safer against AD assasins and bruisers. Combined with Zhonya's Hourglass you are very hard to kill with your armor, health and mobility. You can replace Banshee's Veil by Dead Man's Plate in AD heavy comps.

The Banshee's Veil is a great item choice for Lillia. Combining Banshee's Veil togeter with a Zhonya's Hourglass Lillia gains an immense amount of resistance stats. This allows Lillia to run around the edges of the enemy team to look to hit E's and Q's on the enemy. Because Lillia gets very tanky from the combination of her items, she can look to engage without being at risk of getting blown up instantly.

Next up is Spirit Visage. Spirit Visage is a great item into full AP comps. It offers cooldown reduction and also amplifies your Ravenous Hunter healing. This item is decent versus heavy AP comps in combination with Banshee's Veil and Mercury's Treads

Lastly, the Rabadon's Deathcap increases your AP drastically allowing more damage in the later part of the game. Upon buying the Rabadon's Deathcap you are strong enough to instantly ult when hitting someone with your E. Every follow up skill should be able to secure you a kill at this point of the game.
Summoner Spells Back to Top

SUMMONER SPELLS
-
FLASH: Flash is an essential summoner. It allows you to close gaps to kill the enemy or to escape from the enemy. There is no debate possible about this rune.
SMITE: Just as Flash, Smite is a non negotiable summoner spell for every jungler. You can not build jungle items without smite so make sure to always take smite.
Abilities Back to Top
PASSIVE ABILITY
Dream-laden bough
Lillia's abilities apply Dream Dust, dealing 5% of the target's maximum health as magic damage over 3 seconds, capped at 40−100 damage against monsters (depending on level).
Q
Blooming Blows
PASSIVE: Lillia gains a Prance stack for 5 seconds whenever she hits at least 1 enemy with her abilities, refreshing up to 5 stacks. Stacks are lost by one every second. Each stack grants Lillia 7 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 11% (+1% per 100 ability power) bonus movement speed.

ACTIVE: Lillia swings her censer around her, dealing 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 (+40% of ability power) magic damage to nearby enemies. Enemies hit within the outer edge of the area additionally take the same amount as bonus true damage. Lillia is able to buffer her Q if she is fast enough with Q + Flash which causes the Q to deal dmg at the location flashed towards.
W
Watch Out! Eep!
Lillia rushes to 150 units in front of the target area over 0.75 seconds, though not through terrain, and winds up for a strike, dealing 70 / 85 / 100 / 115 / 130 (+30% of ability power) magic damage in an area. Enemies hit within the center are dealt 200% increased damage.

Watch Out! Eep! deals 50% of the damage equal to 35 / 42.5 / 50 / 57.5 / 65 (+15% of ability power) to minions. The easiest way to hit W in the middle is by putting the enemies asleep with your ultimate, then following up with a centered W for the most damage.
E
Swirlseed
Lillia lobs a seed at the target area that rolls forward indefinitely. The seed detonates upon colliding with an enemy or terrain upon landing or while rolling, dealing 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 / 150 (+40% of ability power) magic damage to enemies in a cone, slowing them by 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45% for 3 seconds and revealing them for 2 seconds.

Swirlseed will cast at max range if cast beyond that. The spot at which the seed will last collide with terrain is highlighted to Lillia while it is rolling.
R
Lilting Lullaby
Lillia casts a magical lullaby over all targetable enemy champions affected by Dream Dust, rendering them drowsy for 1.5 seconds, which gradually slows them, after which they fall asleep for 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds.

The next non-persistent non-minion damage taken by the sleeping targets consumes the debuff to deal an additional 100 / 150 / 200 (+30% of ability power) magic damage. Combining your E with this ultimate allows you to cast global ultimates as there is no range set on Lilting Lullaby
Jungle Pathing Back to Top
Blue Start

1. blue buff
2. gromp
3. wolf
4. raptor
5. red buff
6. krug
7. scuttle

This is a standard full clear starting from the blue buff. As Lillia u always want to full clear because you are fast in the jungle. Clearwise and movement speed wise. If you manage to spot the enemy jungler u can run into his opposite side and steal his camps. Keep an eye on the map and leave when it gets dangerous. You should have max Q stacks and can escape easily.
Red Start

1. red buff
2. krug
3. raptor
4. wolf
5. blue buff
6. gromp
7. Scuttle

This is a full clear starting at the red buff side. Red buff is harder to kite so smiting red buff is a great option so save health as you wont have to smite Krugs since u can kite them .
Teamfighting & Lategame Back to Top

Teamfighting & Late game with Lillia
Teamfighting as Lillia can be confusing and hard at first. Your main goal in the teamfights is to look for openings where you can put asleep as much enemies as possible.

You need to keep your eyes on the map and be wary of potential flanks from the enemy. Ultimately, you need to be looking for good engages around important objectives such as baron and the elder drake in the late game. It is also possible to let the enemy start these objectives and you then fight them at the entrance of the pit forcing them to take damage from both sides while you put them asleep and drop a good teamfight with your team.
You are a great teamfighter in the late game due to your movementspeed and Zhonya's Hourglass. Do not be shy with your ultimate as it is a great tool with a low cooldown. Even using it on one enemy might be worth it depending if you are able to get objectives due to that kill. Be confident and secure and you will shine on Lillia in teamfights. Do not be shy to make a ballsy engage to use Zhonya's Hourglass afterwards.
