Why play Ezeal?
Ezreal the Prodigal Explorer is a Marksman champion in league that deals damage mainly through auto attack and his basic abilites. His Q Mystic Shot being his main damage source. What makes Ezreal Unique is the fact that he has to kite hiting auto's while also hitting Mystic Shot and Essence Flux This along with his Arcane Shift having a high mastery and his passive Rising Spell Force being hard to use effectivly means he is often considered one of the harder among the Marksmen to play and master

Ezreal is an extremly flashy champion that usually isn't the top adc in every patch. He doesn't offer the insane consistent damage vs tanks like a Vayne or Twitch, But still deals both respecteable consistent and burst damage. He has a weak early game, but really shines with his extremly strong mid game while still being relevant in the lategame. I am always going to argue that atleast for me playing and learning Ezreal is still the most satisfying and fun i've ever had learning in league just because he is one of those champions where the champions strenght scales with your own mastery. So even though he clearly has weaknesses i still personally feel like Ezreal is one of if not the most satisfying marksman champion you can master.

So if you like a champion that can be taken to a high level with alot of practice to hit his diffrent skillshots Trueshot Barrage, Essence Flux and Mystic Shot. While also learning the limits of how to properly use Arcane Shift either for spacing or damage. But even then taking him to higher level learning to weave auto attacks in between all of your basic abilities. Then i think Ezreal will be the right champion for you

One of the funnier parts you'll encounter when playing Ezreal is his itemization. He's knows as a item abuser so be prepared to be using alot of different items, some of these will even be from other classes.
Mythic Choices

Mythic

Generally as Ezreal you will be chosing between 3 items.

Trinity Force

Trinity Force has always been iconic on Ezreal and it has always been core or at the very least viable on him for a long time. But why is that so?

Spellblade:
The first passive spell blade, is the main reason why it's strong on Ezreal. The spellblade passive gives each of your q's extra damage. This allows you to deal alot more damage to enemy champions when you're poking, which as an Ezreal you will do alot

Three fold strike:
Trinity Force's second passive gives you more ad the more you fight aswell as movement speed everytime you hit a enemy unit. For Ezreal who is good in extended fight due to his ability to easily poke with Mystic Shot, this passive is really good. The movement speed also gives you an easier time kiting and catching up to targets.

Mythic Passive
Just a straight up 3 extra movment speed, ad and ability haste. For Ezreal this is really nice for objetive taking, champion damage, csing and kiting. It's just a solid all round mythic passive

Conclusion
Ezreal has always been the kind of champ that weaves in and out of fight, firing Mystic Shot as he goes along. Trinity Force allows Ezreal to play this playstyle to it's to the fullest. With Trinity Force Ezreal will both be extremly safe due to the movment speed, while still dealing alot of damage through kiting with either Mystic Shot and basic attacks

Divine Sunderer

Divine Sunderer is the new item that everyone keeps using for Ezreal. It's deals alot of damage and in alot of matchup it will be even better than Trinity Force

Spellblade :
Like Trinity Force it also has a spellblade passive which deals 10% of target enemy's max hp as bonus physical damage while healing for 30% of pre mitigation damage). This makes the item a perfect tanks buster, espescially if it you buy Serylda's Grudge or Blade of the Ruined King

Mythic passive
It's mythic passive also gives 5% armor pen and magic pen, which allows him to take down tanks even easier. It's also really amazing due to it's mixed pen, since Ezreal has a mixed damage output.

Conclusion
Divine Sunderer allows Ezreal to extra damage to mainly tanks which for the longest time has been a weakness of Ezreal. I would really suggest using Divine Sunderer whenever you are fighting alot of tanks and bruiser, especially HP tanks like Vladimir or Darius.

Eclipse

Eclipse is also a new item and will probably be better if you want more early agency. Due to it being a lethality item it's really good early game, while still being relativly strong late.

Ever Rising Moon
Eclipse's passive allows you to deal extra damage, gives movment speed and a shield if you hit an enemy
champion with 2 diffrent attacks/abilities. This allows normal combo's such as
Essence Flux into Mystic Shot or Arcane Shift to be even more deadly. The movement speed and shield also allows you to fight assassins like Zed, Kha'Zix, Akali and so on at close range while still having the option to reposition.
Mythic Passive
Eclipse's mythic passive gives you 4% armor pen which helps alot with dealing with any armor stacking opponent like a Malphite or Rammus
Conclusion
Eclipse Paired with Esscence reaver this gives you the most damage per skillshot. This is for those of you who prefer more of a glass canon build or those that struggle with mana managment.
It also has alot of cooldown reduction which is really nice on Ezreal due to it allowing him to have more q uptime. But as said Eclipse definitly allows you to play a more bursty style of gameplay if you prefer that

Kraken, Shieldbow and Galeforce

These three mythic items have become alot more popular on Ezreal during the recent patches due to the changes to Navori Quickblades. The reason why i've chosen to group them up is due to the fact that they give Ezreal the same sort of identity in the sense that Ezreal has to rely more on auto attacks like other ADCs does.

BRING IT DOWN:
Kraken Slayer's passive allows you to deal true damage on every third auto attack and works well on Ezreal due to the fact that Mystic Shot counts as a Auto attack.
CLOUDBURST:
Galeforce's active effect makes you dash and deal magic damage based on the enemy's health, this makes it effective at gapclosing, executing low healths and escape tool.
LIFELINE:
Immortal Shieldbow's passive that gives you a shield and extra ad for 3 seconds after you've been reduced to below 30% hp
Mythic Passive
Kraken Slayer Gives you 10% bounus attack speed, Galeforce gives you 2% movespeed and lastly Immortal Shieldbow gives you 5 bonus ad and 70 hp. Out of these Immortal Shieldbow definitly has the best mythic passive

Conclusion

All in all these items are a nice welcome to Ezreal's itemization. As a champion he he hasn't really built like other Marksmen for quite sometime. This also gives him alot more build variety which is also nice but it can also be quite dauting to figure out which build is best when. But i would say that genereally that these build are really good into Juggernauts or Tanks since they are alot easier to auto attack. As for which of these three mythics you should choose i would genereally say that

Kraken Slayer: is good vs tanky teams where you're the primary way of dealing with the tank
Immortal Shieldbow: is more for teams with alot of burst for example and Skirmishers
Galeforce: is for teams with alot of mobility such as Divers and Skirmishers

Out of them i do prefer Immortal Shieldbow as the general option
Pros And Cons
PROS
+ High overall DPS
+ Safe laning
+ Good itemization
+ Strong midgame
+ Fun to play
+ Fun to master

High overall DPS:
This comes mainly down to his really strong poke with Mystic Shot and Essence Flux

Safe laning:
Ezreal has always been known for his ability to safely lane against his opponent due to him being able to farm with Mystic Shot and avoid jungle ganks with Arcane Shift

Good itemization:
I've always found Ezreal's ability to buy items not just from the marksman list but also from the fighter list to be really fun b

Strong midgame:
This is usually where you'll be able to do most of your carrying. The main reason this happens is due to midgame being around the same time as when your
Manamune > Muramana transforms.

Fun to play:
This is obviously going to be a more personal thing, but i've always found him really fun to play. I just enjoy spaming Mystic Shot and weaving in AA's as i'm teleporting with Arcane Shift all over the place.

Fun to master:
This is also a subjective one, but i've played this champion for quite some time now (season 3) and i've always felt like there is alot more to learn. Either that is becoming better at dodging with Arcane Shift hitting Mystic Shot or just becoming better at using his passive Rising Spell Force

These are the things that make him both as strong and as fun as as he is. So if you want to climb with Ezreal these are the things he is usually good at
CONS
- Squishy
- Skillshot reliant
- Weak early
- Low damage vs tanks
- Over reliance on Arcane Shift
- Difficult positioning

Squishy:
Ezreal is one of the squishiest marksmen in the game due to his low hp, armor and magic resist

Skillshot reliant:
3 out of 4 abilities in Ezreal's kit is a skillshot so being able to hit them consistently is really important.

Weak early:
Due to low hp and the fact that he doesn't have anything to amp his auto or good wave clear like many other marksmen, you'll usually find yourself on the losing end during laning phase. This doesn't mean you'll insta lose but be wary

Low damage vs tanks:
Doesn't have anything that deals %health so usually you'll have to just brute force you through their hp.

Over reliance on Arcane Shift:
Arcane Shift is a really important part of Ezreal's kit, however you might find yourself becoming over reliant on it. Remember to always have good positioning regardless if you have a flash on a lower cooldown.

Difficult positioning:
Due to your mobility as Ezreal you'll usually find yourself in some wonky position during teamfights. That's why it's important not to just panic Arcane Shift. This also goes for people who enjoy playing mage Ezreal when you're building ad, you still need to AA

None of these makes Ezreal necessarily a bad champion. These are just guidelines on what to look after in terms of what Ezreal can't do as well as others in a game.

Anyways thanks for reading my Ezreal guide and I wish you good luck on the rift
