Rengar
A good Rengar is very hard to beat. Who ever gets the first hit in usually wins unless the other is extremely strong. Play around his fury, if he has a way to get 4 fury combo then avoid at all costs. Zhonyas or an early armguard is a good purchase.

Champion Build Guide
Hey guys I am Whynot and welcome to my Challenger Nidalee guide. I'm a Challenger Nidalee player and Pro player from OCE. I started playing Nidalee in early season 9 for competitive play. Nidalee was a champion I played a lot of when I peaked top 20 in season 10. In Season 11 I reached rank 3 with 1330LP with Nidalee as my 2nd most played and in Season 12 I was the 4th player in the world to Challenger. Season 14 has been good too, currently Challenger with an 80%+ WR on Nidalee. I'd consider her my biggest comfort champ and I talk to many Challenger Nidalee players from different regions to constantly ensure I play her as well as I can. I regularly stream my gameplay on Twitch and tweet a lot on Twitter . |

Why should you play this complicated champion? Nidalee is a great pick that can take over and destroy SoloQ games. Nidalee can outjungle opponents with ease, build large experience leads and leave the enemy jungler in the dust so hard the opponent laners will all chat 'Jungle Gap.' |
+ Consistently Strong in the META + Can 1v9 games at all ELOS + High Skill Cap + Extremely Fun and Enjoyable, especially when you start to get better at her + AP jungler, widen your pool away from only AD and Tanks + You are the limit of the Champion, so many options and strength All in all, Nidalee is a great champion on Jungle for soloq. In soloq high tempo jungling is really strong, you will be able to destroy the enemy junglers mental as you put on a clinic of mechanics |
- No hard CC in kit - Squishy when built full damage - Hard playing from behind - Takes a lot of practice to learn - Requires strong clearing fundamentals and practice Just like any other champion, Nidalee has her weaknesses. However, her strenghts heavily outweigh her weaknesses. When mastered and you know how to play around her weaknesses Nidalee will have dominating early games that you can transition to early wins for easy LP and plays. |

For the second tree I advise looking at the runes at the top of the guide. I currently take Waterwalking Transcendence in 90% of my games. Transcendence because Ability Haste is such an important stat on Nidalee that synergizes well with her whole kit. Second taking Waterwalking because it is the other best option in the sorcery tree, AP and Movement Speed in river is good for scuttle fights and ganking lanes from river. |
Jungle Item The choice between Gustwalker Hatchling Mosstomper Seedling and Scorchclaw Pup is generally personal preference. Often there is one that is situationally better, I default to Gustwalker Hatchling in most games as it's very synergistic with Nidalee passive Prowl. It allows you to be incredibly fast through the jungle enabling you to catch rotations and chase down enemies. Mosstomper Seedling is good against high burst damage. Scorchclaw Pup is an underrated option, the slow it provides on initial hit can be procced with an auto attack allowing an easy Javelin Toss follow up. |

Items explained S14 ITEMS: On Nidalee the build path is quite straight forward. Starting off with Lich Bane is standard. From there we can look to start itemizing based on enemy comp and what we need. Nidalee has a lot of damage with only that one damage item so you DONT have to rush pure ap and get an item like Shadowflame, instead opt to build smart - identify what you need. Do they have high AD champs? Get a Seeker's Armguard and if you're vsing CC or just need the active, upgrade it into Zhonya's Hourglass. Have they got AP assassins? Verdant Barrier is a fine purchase which will give you magic resist. My most common buys are Zhonya's Hourglass if I want the safety of the active along with the amazing stats (120 AP in S14 now), or Cryptbloom if I want the damage spike vsing high MR. Cryptbloom is currently a BETTER option than Void Staff most games, the item is needed mid to late game for the pen and the ability haste it provides is great now other items lack it. Seeing as Nidalee with this build is practically 100% AP damage you can imagine how much more damage you're doing when ignoring magic resist. Lich Bane now giving ability haste makes it a strong first item. When looking at 3/4th items look to round out with the other items mentioned that you haven't purchased. Lich Bane always 1st and then follow it with a mix of Mejai's Soulstealer Zhonya's Hourglass Hextech Rocketbelt as your core with other options such as Banshee's Veil Cryptbloom and Riftmaker being more situational. Finish up with a Rabadon's Deathcap if you still have item space and want the pure AP. Rabadon's Deathcap is extremely strong as Nidalee has amazing ratio's and makes good use of the high AP numbers on her Javelin Toss and her Primal Surge along with Electrocute and Dark Harvest having a ratio that synergizes well with Takedown. Boot options are also preference for the most part. If you have the gold and the enemy won't pick up too much magic resist usually you opt for Sorcerer's Shoes, if you dont have enough for the item (800g after boots) or the enemy will get magic resistance then Ionian Boots of Lucidity works great as an economical purchase that also gives great power. Defensive boots are also viable with both Plated Steelcaps and Mercury's Treads being great choices when done for the right reasons. Kha'Zix and Rengar players hate a Nidalee with Seeker's Armguard and Plated Steelcaps the same way Evelynn and Elise players will cry seeing Verdant Barrier and Mercury's Treads in your inventory. Last to talk about, Mejai's Soulstealer is a great item on Nidalee. You usually pick up a Dark Seal on your first base and from there you can assess if you want to upgrade it into Mejai's Soulstealer. When you reach 10 stacks on Mejai's Soulstealer you gain 10% bonus movement speed which is absolutely broken. |

1. Blue buff 2. Gromp 3. Wolf 4. Raptor 5. Red Buff 6. Krug 7. Scuttle This is a standard full clear starting from the blue buff. As Nidalee you have a very fast full clear. If you manage to spot the enemy jungler you can run into his opposite side and steal his camps. Keep an eye on the map and leave when it gets dangerous. You should practice your clears often, watch me on stream as I constantly explain how to clear as Nidalee and give examples on different paths. |
1. Red Buff 2. Krug 3. Raptor 4. Wolf 5. Blue buff 6. Gromp 7. Scuttle This is a full clear starting at the red buff side. What side I usually start depends on what I'm looking to achieve from my first clear, am I looking to get Top ahead? Is my support Leona giving me easy CC to follow up with a Javelin Toss for a free gank? Nidalee full clearing isn't a waste of options as she clears so fast you'll be ready to contest scuttle and start pressuring enemy laners and jungler |

Teamfighting & Late game with Nidalee Teamfighting as Nidalee is one of the hardest things to learn. When you first start off playing Nidalee you will land a spear and chase it, going into the enemy team 1v4 achiving nothing but a 30 second death timer. Teamfighting as Nidalee requires patience, attention and crazy APM. The aim of the game is to win, to destroy the enemy nexus. The best way to do this is after teamfights that you come away on top of, 1st lesson is to swallow your ego and recongise what you need to do to win the fight. More often than not you'll have someone on your team whose job it is to carry the fight, there are a number of things you can do to enable a carry. If they're an ADC/ranged mid, make sure you have Bushwhack on the sides and flanks to spot any potential threats, be ready to Primal Surge to heal them or increase their DPS, make sure to land spears and use Prowl and Aspect Of The Cougar to maximize your damage by landing spears, tranforming for Swipe Takedown and then reverting back to human Nidalee to use Primal Surge again. What I'm trying to say is that every fight doesn't need to be you pouncing in to int when you can do more damage and help your team more by playing more conservatively. When the time is right and you are able to blow up an enemy with your Aspect Of The Cougar abilities after landing a Javelin Toss do so, this is one of the best parts about having Zhonya's Hourglass, you can buffer Takedown to kill an enemy and then be in stasis. |
