Absolute nightmare for Darius. A good Gnar will never get close enough for you to land a combo. Try to fool him with your distance and burst him down before you get poked too hard. Otherwise, call for jungle babysit.

Introduction

Hi all! My name is Daddyfunk52, i'm a Gold solo queue player on EUW server, and i've been playing Darius for just over a year now.

In this guide, i'll show you a fun utility build that was made possible with the arrival of patch 5.16. So without further Ado... Let's get into it!

Pros / Cons

Pros:

- High early game damage
- Naturally tanky
- Slows!
- Has an execute
- Very manly
- (Reworked) Has a heal!

Cons:

- Easily Kited
- Low mobility
- Q blade tricky to land
- Useless when CC'd

Skill Sequence+Combos

Max Q first, use for poke damage and sustain in lane. Then Max W and finally E, putting points into R whenever possible.

With the arrival of 5.16, Darius' E and W have gained an OBSCENE 90% slow at rank 1. These skills form the main basis of the permaslow build.

Open the trade with a well aimed E, Autoattack, W, Autoattack x2, Q, and then R (if available). Try not to use your W straight after pulling the enemy towards you. Make full use of the slow from your E before chaining it into the W slow.

Then this build is for you!

Open with titanic hydra, for farming and extra damage.

Black cleaver shreds the opponents armor, not to mention the fact that it gives a whopping 20% CDR for your E and W. Permaslow 20% faster...Yes please!

Dead man's plate has a built in slow, and health to stack with titanic hydra.

Frozen mallet will stop your target from escaping in the gap between your E and W cooldowns.

Sterak's Gage makes you unstoppable in team fights, combined with the heal on your Q, you are virtually unkillable.

Mercury Treads, because Darius can't be slowed...When he's the one doing the slowing!

Catch someone out with your E W combo, and it's a 4v5 teamfight followed by Baron, triple inhib, GG.

Summary

The 5.16 reworked Darius is naturally tanky, has built in sustain, deals a ton of damage, and has a ridiculous amount of utility in the form of his slows.

I hope that you manage to make the most of this extremely cheesy build. Before his slows get nerfed again!
