[9.16] Kayn Jungle Guide
Welcome to my Kayn Jungle guide, I'm a gold 2 Kayn main, so Don't expect too much of my guide. I'm a Top/mid lane main and I play Jungle from time to time. I started playing at the end of season 5 and kept playing until now. This guide is gonna help you how to play Kayn as well as dominating everything on your sight !
Pros/Cons
Code:
Pros
|
+ Q makes him able to dash over some walls + Has 2 forms to choose mid-game + Has a fast and good clear in the jungle + Can easily gank from places most junglers don't gank from + His forms depend on the enemy team |
Cons
|
- Not easy to scale - Low early game Damage - Hard to play vs counters - Awkward to play if you can't transform early - Gets stronger only when transformed |
Choosing forms
Kayn has 2 different forms ; Darkin and Shadow assassin, after attacking a melee champion with any kind of offensive attack, you get a red orb, you keep getting those orbs until you unlock Rhaast, The darkin scythe, or after attacking a ranged champion with any kind of offensive attack, you get a blue orb, you keep getting those orbs until you unlock Shadow Assassin Kayn.
Choosing forms is pretty easy, if they have 3 or more non-one shottable champions in their team, it's best to go for Rhaast, if they have 3 or more one shottable champions in their team, it's best to go for Shadow Assassin, although you have to rely on ending the game early when doing so because your damage gets lower and lower as their team builds armor, but that will be fine if you buy armor penetration, opposite of Rhaast who relies on both early and late game.
But there are some champions who can make your Shadow assassin form useless, just like Poppy's Grounding or Malzahar's suppression.

Pathing
There are a lot of choices when trying to path, and I'm going to be listing all of them, first of all with the standard path :
Raptors
>
Red Buff
>
Krugs
>
Wolves
>
Scuttler
if possible >
blue buff
>
Gromp
, and that's a full clear, but if it's possible to gank before clearing all of it, then you can gank.
the second path is : Red Buff > Krugs > Raptors > Wolves > Scuttler if possible > blue buff > Gromp , another full clear, and it's also possible to gank before doing so.
and finally we have another jungling path that starts with : Wolves > Raptors > Red buff > Krugs > Scuttler if possible > Blue buff > Gromp , also possible for earlier gank.
the second path is : Red Buff > Krugs > Raptors > Wolves > Scuttler if possible > blue buff > Gromp , another full clear, and it's also possible to gank before doing so.
and finally we have another jungling path that starts with : Wolves > Raptors > Red buff > Krugs > Scuttler if possible > Blue buff > Gromp , also possible for earlier gank.
Summary
Kayn is an incredible champ that makes good use of his Transformations depending on the enemy team, with a strong kit on mid to late game.
Any feedback is highly appreciated, also it's my first time creating a guide so don't be harsh about it :C
Enjoy tearing your opponents!
