Introduction

I thought I should share how I make Akali the best way as possible in my opinion. The way it's built is that early and mid game you will feel like you're playing an exact Hybrid build. She seems to dominate best as a Hybrid early and mid. During late game she ends up mostly AP build but with some good Auto Attacks that you can't just ignore.

Updated: 4/26/2011 - Added the Tab "Escape Moves".
Updated: 6/9/2011 - Made Build 3 as the Recommended Build for all Akali users and went into detail about making the build.---Also talked about why I use Lich Bane as an important weapon under "Items and Item Sequence".
Updated: 6/10/2011 Killed my First 2 builds because they were too similar and didn't show much difference. So I left my Best build in.

Build

Build--- RECOMMENDED BUILD***
You start out with Both Passives at level 1 by buying a . After you get enough gold buy your then get your because you need that extra health to survive in early and mid game fights. Get your and the start building your but get your first. It may sound weird to build this pretty early on but it works really well when you use your skills and auto attacks on enemies. Buy your next and make it into your . By now you will have some extra movement speed and you will deal more magic damage with you auto attacks after a skill has been used. After that make yourself another because the weapon itself is now "Unique" from a recent patch. Then make it to a . YOU NOW HAVE 70% SPELL VAMP! At this time you probably won't be able to make your because either the team has surrendered or the game is over. However, if the game is still going then build it and OWN!

Runes

Do I have to explain why runes? Ok...I will.

9_ Magic Pent. is awesomeness for Akali since her moves do magic damage.

9_ Dodge is one of the best runes to ever get. It also helps and stacks with your masteries.

9_ This is to just get your Ability Power up by lvl 2 for Akali's passive to kick in.

2_ Again more AP to get closer for Akali's passive at lvl 2.

1_ The more magic pent...the more damage you'll do.

Summoner Spells

1. This is a great escape/initiator spell. By throwing down and then flash to a nearby bush or to just juke a whole team for an escape. Obviously Flash is great to get close to an enemy as well...BUT I would STRONGLY suggest using your ultimate to get close to an enemy besides wasting your Flash spell.

2. Use this skill to slow enemies down and lower their Armor and Magic Resist. You can also use Exhaust for an escape weapon in case someone like a Melee DPS is chasing you down.

Optional Spells

* Honestly it's a good spell if you face mundo or if you know the enemy is running away with 3 Health points left. I find this spell only useful during early and mid game since everyone still usually has low health bars.

* Ghost is also a great escape/initiator. I would rather use flash instead of ghost for the fact of the Smoke/Flash combo effect.

Attack Combos / Tower Diving

There are a few combos to attack somone.

AA = AutoAttack
( ) Means you can use this skill in that spot if you like or near it.

If the enemy is not close to you/running away...

Q > R > (W) > AA > E > AA (Repeat)
*Use (W) near your champion or the direction of where the enemy is running.

R > E > (W) > Q > AA (Repeat)


TOWER DIVING

Pretty much if you know you can kill the enemy and escape alive... DO IT!!!
To do so in my build you just use R *(Ultimate) to go right to them. Use all skills to kill them and then to safety!

Escape Moves

If you feel like one more hit will instantly kill you from an enemy while you are running away...shoot'em up with this move.

Throw down in the direction where you're running and place on the enemy (or the one that would most likely kill/chase you...) and then your way farther or across a wall to safety! P.S. You will look like a Pro... ;)

The first one was the big one with all your Spells and moves. However if you don't have both spells up ready then you have to either throw down and use any spells that are available.

Grab these puppies and you should tear them up!

I know some people HIGLY disagree with me on because there's "mana" on it...Let me explain. Lich bane allows you to do 100% AP on your next physical attack AFTER you have done a skill. It's just like Jax's NUKE combo... + ...Therefore when you use and you use an auto attack on the enemy, NOT only will you do damage from ripping off her kama (blade) from the enemy BUT you will do an extra 100% of your own AP to them at the same time! I hope this ends the war against Lich Bane being used for Akali...

Items I DON'T Recommend

Because this item is so wishy washy during a fight and you will never have a(n) stable/absolute AP or AD stats. Akali is a burst damage champion, so all you have to do is wipe out squishies and be an anti-carry.

--- These 2 items are absolutely unreliable! You will probably get around 11 stacks then die...and you're down to like 7-5 stacks. All it takes is one death and your stacks are toast. Honestly the only way to get extreme stacks is to fight a whole team that is squishy OR noob players.

I would not use this item because of the lack of AP given. The only good thing out of this item is the 20 Magic Pent. other than that, I would not use it.
