Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
Hey guys! My names Flooooziee. This is my very first build and i hope i can give you some tips and hints on how to play Lux(: The criticism is very much welcome, it will help me to make this a great build everyone can look to.
I'm Proud to say I main Lux, she's a spectacular girl, and she's the only one I ever dare to go ranked with because I have the most confidence with her. Honestly.. There's not much to say about her. She's simple once you get the hang and you just gotta practice like any other champion, this is how I build her.
*IMPORTANT* Lux is a very situational champion.. Because of her damage output she is the main target for angry gamer nerds. You MUST have other carries and other targets on your team to be able to use her correctly.

Why Lux?
You may ask...
Why would anyone want to hurt Lux? Look how graceful and cute she looks.
Think of it as this... When you're going to pick a piece of pizza out of the box you look for the biggest, the one with the bubble of crust on it, or even the one that has the most sauce goosing out of the side. THAT'S what Lux is, the mouthwatering piece of sardine-olive-pepperoni-bacon-ham-cheese pizza thats just like "OMG GOTTA HAVE IT BEFORE ANYONE ELSE DOES".

You must remember to never go alone anywhere because jeez, that whole teams got their eye on you. You can't BD like
Master Yi so don't even bother trying to 'help the team' by getting half the turret and getting ganked. You're most likely going to hear the most commonly known term used for excessive deaths in LoL, "F.E.E.D.E.R."

PROS
Outstanding damage
Late game BEAST
Farm like a pro
Low cooldown on ultimate
Long range

CONS
High cooldowns on spells
Focused a lot because of damage and squishiness
Precision required
Needs other players on team to take the hit for her while she extends her power!
Sweet spells
Just going to cover some of Lux's spells(:
- Lux's damaging spells charge the enemies hit with energy for 6 seconds. Lux's next attack will ignite the energy, dealing 10 + (10 x level) magic damage to the target
Just beautiful. Like i said above it can act as an Ignite so overall you can substitute it in for Clarity.
- Lux releases a sphere of light that binds and deals damage to up to two enemy units, dealing 50% effect to the 2nd unit struck.
This is what will save you from ganks. The great thing about it is that it stuns TWO people one behind the other. Great spell but not before Translucent Singularity!(:
- Lux throws her wand to a target location and back, bending the light around herself and any friendly champions it touches, shielding them from damage for 3 seconds.
Not going to lie... This spell is very weak. I only get one point in it early game to save me from Ignite and such.
Translucent Singularity - Lux sends an anomaly of twisted light to a target area, which slows enemies on the zone. The zone will deal magic damage to the enemies on the area upon detonation. The zone will detonate itself after 5 seconds or it can be detonated early by Lux.
This is your harassment tool i tell you! 'bread and butter' as everyone says. Level this up first! Unlike
Brand
Pillar of Flame where you see it long enough to run out, you can pop this baby as soon as it hits the ground. There's no escaping the dammmaagge wwaa.
FInales Funkeln - After gathering energy for half a second, Lux will fire a broad and long-range beam of light in a line that will instantly deal magic damage to all enemies in the area. In addition, the beam will trigger Lux's innate ability and re-apply the Illumination debuff again.
Oh gosh is this a wonderful spell or what? With late game it having a 25 sec cooldown with Blue buff you'll be casting it so much the enemy team will be so angry. Youmadbro?(: It's also great for stealing Baron! Woooooooo. Just practice your precision because if you miss you'll be hearing it for the rest of your life haha.

Runes
For runes.. Well it's all about the damage. Magic penetration, ability power, and cooldown runes are what i find best suit her.
Masteries
They're pretty self explanatory. Lux = Mana hog. You need that utility.
You of course want to go with all the mana regeneration masteries. Speed on Lux is very useful so you put 3 points into
Swiftness
.
In offense i put 9 points because of the cooldowns. Lux has very long cooldowns early-mid game so going with
Sorcery will contribute to your cooldown reduction that is VERY much needed.

Sheen or no
Sheen?
Lich Bane or no
Lich Bane? I've decided to research and find out what the whole disagreement is about. It seems people rather rush
Rabadon's Deathcap for the HP first, rather than having
Lich Bane which proc's off your autoattacks. Rushing
Rabadon's Deathcap gives you excellent AP fast, giving ALL your spells a steady increase in damage,
Lich Bane's damage scales off of your AP so it would be more sensible to go with
Rabadon's Deathcap first.
Illuminate = 180 extra damage (At level 18) on next auto attack after using a spell plus your lichbane passive (Assuming the fact that you followed this guide and got up to the building point of Lichbane) = 275 damage. SO: 180 + 275 = 455 auto attack.
? What is this? ON A LUX? If your focused you're gone, the extra hp won't make you anymore "stronger". All
Rod of Ages does is take significant damage away from your Finales Funkeln that's your main damage output right? HOPEFULLY you said yes.
You dont have an ult that can regenerate health like
Swain, your not an AP tank like
Amumu, your similar to
Miss Fortune, once your hit you're toast unless you can land your Light Binding and Lucent Singularity correctly.

NOT Useful Items.
As lux your main goal is to drop HP like it wasn't even there, you don't have time to build HP items i promise you they will not make you more sustainable.

More items i disapprove of are and not limited to:
Banshee's Veil - This might be beneficial late game, if you're getting focused too much for your comfort. I personally wouldn't pick it but it's ability to block one spell every 45sec might come in handy(:
Rylai's Crystal Scepter - HP... The slow? It doesn't matter. HP is not Lux's main concern, it's your brain. If your dying a lot maybe you should consider there's something wrong with it :P. BOT GAMES FTW

How To Own - My Own Personal Experiences
When you're playing Lux timing is extremely important.
Whenever i have the chance i take mid. 50 bucks the second you get into champion select the chat screen will say "Flooooziee: DIBS ON MID" it's the best way i know how to own. More experience, sooner you get lazzzzeeerrr, sooner you can gank, sooner you can own, and well sooner the games over. To sum it up... Call mid.
Once you get mid then it's all

You MUST push that's what
Lucent Singularity is used for, it's early game damage is unbeatable and its overall the best harassment tool.

Having trouble landing it?
Well of course, just like
Brand and his
Pillar of Flame you must set it BEHIND your target. (champion). It's just an automatic reflex to run back when you see them casting a spell, i know it is for me, it's actually a very bad habit even when i know it's coming.
Lucent Singularity a few units back
Light Binding them while there in it or just about, right then BAM press it again to make it pop. Half health gone, unbeatable along with the few auto attacks thrown in there.

Teamwork! Or.. Ksing?
Muahahahah as evil as I am.. When I'm in a team fight i usually wait till the last second to Finales Funkeln, as i like to get triple kills. The great thing about it is you don't even need to be close to the team fight you can just R R R. Everyone will toss and turn and start running even your teammates. It can actually cause quite a scare.
Never be too close to the actual fight. Throw in a Lucent Singularity here and there. Stay OUT OF THE ACTUAL FIGHT, never get too close or else they'll getcha. You know how Lux has such good range? Use it to your advantage! Do not die!

End Game
By end game you should be packin those kills.
I usually end with about 400-600 ability power which makes my lazer leave about half HP of any champions.
As long as your within the range of 0-2 deaths you most likely won't be classified as a feeder. You made a great contribution to your teams success (that's if you won, if you lost well... Keep practicing) and will have 1000 friend requests when you get back to the home screen!
I hope that I somehow made an impact on your life while using
