Choose Champion Build:

  • LoL Champion: Jax
  • LoL Champion: Jax

Introduction

Welcome to my guide on Jax, The Grandmaster of Arms. Jax is a very deadly assassin/fighter if you ever see one, especially if he is fed. He is a very easy but somewhat hard Champion to play. In this guide, I will show you the basics and fundamental of Jax. There are many ways that you can build him. (Hybrid, AD, and AP). In this guide, I play him Hybrid.

Pros:
    Very high DPS
    Awesome Nuker
    Carry killer
    Tanky as ****
    Unsoloable
    Late game carry
    SPELL VAMPPPPP

Cons:
    Squishy early game
Need to be farmed or fed to be durable
Mindset while playing him makes you do stupid stuff

Runes

Runes for Jax are very standard.
Greater Mark of Desolationfor your normal attack for late game damage. You can also do or for early game damage.

Why? Cause he one of the few only champions that actually benefits from dodge. His and .

Magic resist per level for maximum resistance against nuker in late game.

Greater Quintessence of DesolationSame reason as Mark, late game damage.

Summoner Spells

Very awesome for Jax. For Chasing and Running.

Sometimes, you can't always finish off a guy somehow. Light him on fire.

Alternate for Flash. Personal Preference.

Alternate for Ignite. Personal Preference.

Alternate for either Flash or Ignite, helps against CCs.

Others are **** on Jax.

Masteries

21/9/0 for maximum damage.
Max instead of since Jax don't do crits. Most of his damage comes from his Combo and His passive, which none of those does crit.

Taking for maximizing your passive.

Skipping since again, Jax don't crit, and maxing instead.

Depends on your preference, max either or or put 2 points on both.

MAX AND . It's is so important for Jax.

Skill Sequence

At Level 1 get , then get , and finally

From there Max first for cooldown and more damage.
Then Max for more damage.
Finally for more dodge and damage.
Oh and Level whenever possible.

Items/Gameplay

Now this is the fun part.
Core Items
or

Early Game

You can start with either:

or

is good if you are soloing top or mid. While is good if you are duo laning, best with support. After you farm enough, get yourself another until you have 3, also get boots in the middle of getting 3 and some more . Why 3 ? It gives 30 Damage, 300 HP, 9% Lifesteal and What's this? Oh snap son, Extra 90 HP. Very useful early game. Work you way up to by building which ever you can afford first. If you get , you can head to jungle (make sure your team knows that you are doing so) and start ganking people. When you are doing level 1 fights, let say before minion even spawn, make sure to save to either chase or finishing blow. DON'T EVER USE IT WHEN YOU ARE NEXT TO HIM. You be sad if that first blood just walked away safely.

Mid Game

By now hopefully you finish . Your damage output now is so awesome, you can practically solo anybody. Sometimes you just have to ignore pointless fights and just farm farm farm.(I do this all the time when playing with friends, screaming in skype and ****, I was like boiii my back hurts carrying all of you.) Jax is a mid/late game carry, he can turn the tide on team fight if not focused. So now that you got your . Your next item should be a defensive one, there are many choices to choose from.

Defensive Items

If the enemy team have a lot of auto attackers champs.

Good choice on any champ. Helps against CCs.

Everyone's favorite choice against AP champions.

Alternate choice if you think Banshee's Veil is not enough.

Another Alternate choice if you looking for more damage.

Very good item, works well with Jax's

Fun item to use, to their face and Activate it.

Viable, it gives Armor, Mana, as well as Cooldown reduction. Which is good on Jax's since he will be able to spam his skills every about 3-5 seconds.

Guardian's Angel This item is the finishing blow. Get this for your 6th item and the other team will rage.

Now that you are tanky as balls, you need more damage output.

Offensive Items

Works well with Jax's Ultimate

Oh man, combo hurts now.

I prefer this more than Lich Bane because of the extra HP, Slow, and Attack speed it gives, even though combo hurts more with Lich Bane.

Need an extra resistance against nuker and want to deal more damage? Take this.

Viable on Jax. Gives Attack Speed, and Magic damage against Beefy Champs.

Wait..What? Again? **** yea! The stats it gives is OP on Jax. Spell Vamp and Lifesteal goodness. Oh and another 60AD and 75AP. OPOPOPOPOPOP.

Late Game

By now, you are probably the main threat in your team, if you are doing well so far. You'll be focused constantly so sometimes its better if you wait out for about 5-10 seconds after either team initiation and flank from behind, killing the enemy's damage output. Range AD Carry like Ashe, Corki, Support like Janna, Soraka, and AP Nuker like Annie, Brand. They will melt like butter in a frying pan heated with a flamethrower while in a stove.

Combos and Tricks

Harrasment Lv1, Killing Blow, Chasing, and Running Away (Jump to minion or Ally).

For Harassment Lv2, Killing Blow, and Chasing.

For Harassment Lv3, Killing Blow, Setting up a Gank and Chasing. (Note that you need to dodge something for to be usable as a stun.

Hextech and Jax

is really good on Jax not just because of the stats it gives, but also what it Active does. It shoots dealing 300 Magic damage and also slowing enemy champion. Most of the time, Jax can't really finish up opponent or catch up to them. But thanks to Gunblade, that problem will be solved.

to minion, the runaways, mow-em down.

Hextech and Jax and Wards

Now this is the fun.
Place Sight Ward into it, the runaways, mow-em down.
You can also Jump to Sight Ward to run away.
