Hello, and Welcome!

This is my Hecarim build guide.
This guide focuses on being that offtank.

Hecarim has the unique ability to chase down any enemy. No one can escape.

Hecarim's tool kit allows him to be extremely useful in Initiating, Ganking, Tanking, Crowd Control and Damage output!

The best thing about Hecarim, is he is totally balanced, and a nerf seems unlikely, especially following the recent trend of releases! :D

I hope you enjoy, and dont forget to comment and rate!

Thankyou,

- sgtn00b

This is still a working progress. i just wanted to get the build published fast for testers and ratings to come back sooner!
A list of what is to come can be seen below! Expect it complete in the next few days!

Now, back to playing lol for a little bit :)

Pros / Cons

Pros

Good Initiator
No Unit Collision
Good Ganks
Good Farmer
Good CC
Great Sustain

Cons

Move speed = Damage passive needs buff to be viable
No range attacks/spells

Runes

Greater Seal of Defense

The runes are designed to give you tankyness and damage at an early level.
The reason for per level is to give the highest possible outcome at level 18.
you may feel to opt for flat runes if you think you need more help early game.

Masteries

The mastery tree is very specialized to Hecarim. It takes the movement speed buff from the Utility tree and combines it with max damage from the offensive tree and the base stats from the defense tree.
This allows for early game prowess and good all round damage throughout the game.

Items

Finishing soon!

Most people will start with boots. While this is an option, i find its too hard to lane being the squihsiest membor of the team at level 1. you need the HP to get up close to fight. It also allows for an early Heart of Gold!

Brilliant item, nice and cheap, and pays for itself quickly. Doesn't build into anything we need late game, but gives good early game tankyness and good free gold farm.

Now you can get your boots. Get some move speed. you're not the slowest at level 1, so it;s not necessary at level 1. Surviving/not feeding is priority.

Philosopher's Stone
SPAM YOUR Q NOW! Just like { Skarner, you need a Philo stone to spam your Q. gives good hp/mp Regen, and nice gold per five free farm!

Get tanky! These are the standard boots for any off tank. other boots you may consider are Ninja Tabi or Boots of Swiftness. Stay Away from Mobility Boots, losing that move speed is too easily done as am offtank.

MORE GOLD PER FIVE! and this time, this build into our Youmuu's Ghostblade, a wonderfull item on Hecarim

Do i need to explain this? :)

So were not build much movespeed yet. We've got Ghost. That's enough. But sometimes they can get away from the team too. so a Phage is handy. And it gives you more CC. Also helps with Tankyness and builds into Trinity Force Later on.

Build on from Avarice Blade. This item gives you nice stats aswell as a great active! A secondary Ghost every 60 seconds :D

At this point, you may opt for a Shurelya's Battlesong if your team is domination but slow, or you need some more mana regen. or even a little stepping stone as gold may be low.

The staple in your damage and utility. This item means you can keep to your offtank build with more utility and tankyness rather than damage. also adds movespeed and the Sheen buff upgrade. Builds from your Phage and increases its effectiveness!

This item is a MUST for your sustain. It adds to the healing effect of your W ability and allows you to heal from all of your spells aswell as giving decent damage. this help you stay alive in team fights. especially when your W is up. Your W also heals from the Active of Gunblade!

You're always in the middle as the offtank/tank of the team, especially being melee too. this item gives nice tanky stats along with a great passive that also heals you via your W ability!

This is to cap off the Move speed/Attack speed and round your build into a good offtank feel.
