Yorick is an offensive powerhouse that beats most tanks, mages, and adcs without a problem. great pick if you want to have ao offensive powerhouse that beats most tanks and immobile mages and can contribute greatly to comps of many kinds. He has a very unique kit that allows him to push multiple lanes at the same time, you can at the same time as you push 2 lanes go and farm the jungle and gain huge cs, gold and xp leads compared to your opponent. He also has insane dueling potential when he has his 4 cats and Maiden ready and will win most 1v1's in the mid game.

Each Rune Set has its advantages and disadvantages described bellow in their own sections. I am simply adding more text to get the feel for what this section is going to look like once i have filled in the text. The next passages will explain runes. after that, ill explain jungle pathing, then ill explain items.

DOMINATION

Domination grants access to Dark Harvest which increases kill potential. Play as an drtillary cannon that deals burst damage by launching Mist Walkers at enemies with E Mourning Mist. Building damage makes us heavily reliant on Maiden & Ghouls. Slot Ultimate Hunter for reactivating Eulogy of the Isles in order to maximize damage output and ensure she is alive for objectives. Cheap Shot and Eyeball Collection further increase damage & damage scaling.

SORCERY

Sorcery grants access to Nimbus Cloak for an additional movement option and Gathering Storm to maximize damage scaling.

RUNE SHARDS

Slots 1 & 2 are reserved for Adaptive Force shards in order to maximize damage output with ghouls.

Slot 3 is reserved for Health againt mixed teams and for late game scaling, Armor against AD threats (helps with early dueling!), or Magic Resist against AP threats (helps with early dueling!) Think about what will happen over the course of the game and pick accordingly. If the enemy Top and Jungler picked the same damage type consider, picking the corresponding rune and play for topside dominance.

ITEMIZATION

With the right build, Yorick can easliy instakill enemies (try hiding in a bush!). Duskblade of Draktharr

HOW TO PLAY: This build sacrifices the damage from Dark Harvest and sustainability from Conqueror to gain mobility for sticking to targets, avoiding skill shots, and escaping unfortunate situations. This build is good against mobile team comps.

SORCERY

The Sorcery Tree grants us Nimbus Cloak for an additional movement option and Gathering Storm to maximize damage scaling.

DOMINATION

Domination grants Cheap Shot for a slight damage boost and Ultimate Hunter to ressurect maiden more frequently.

RUNE SHARDS

Slot 1 is generally reservecd for Adaptive Force in order to increase ghoul damage. However, in you may want to swap this for Attack SpeedAttack Speed in neiche circumstances where you'll need auto attacks such as with Ornn, Sion, etc.

Slot 2 will generally go to Adaptive Force to further increase damage. However, Slot 2 can be swapped for ARMOR or MAGIC RESIST if against a heavy AD/AP comp or a difficult enemy jungler like Hecarim or Jax.

Slot 3 - Ask Yourself: "Who are the champions that are likely to be the biggest threat this game?" Slot Health for general survivibility & early game dueling, Armor for AD threats, or Magic Resist for AP threats.

PRECISION & DOMINATION

This build uses Mosstomper Seedling for extra tankiness or Gustwalker Hatchling for extra mobility. Precisions main benefit is Conqueror which grants sustained stacking damage and healing. Combine this with Trinity Force for increased damage stacking and mbility (or Divine Sunderer for staying power, (Q) Last Rites bonk damage, and tank shredding) to forge Yorick into an un-killable juggernaut. Domination grants Ultimate Hunter wich allows us to resurrect Maiden sooner granting us much more versitility and ensuring she is available for objectives. Slot Cheap Shot for a slight damage boost. Great Duelsit. Great against tanks. Great 1v9 potential. Insane map pressure.

This playstle for this build is build is based on being a solo powerhouse able to shred tanks, duel effectively, and push objectives. Great against more effective when played against immobile champions and tanks but is capable of dealing with most bruisers, casters, and marksmen.

Divine Sunderer: We use the combination of Yoricks %Health Damage from Eulogy of the Isles passive and stats and mobility from Trinity Force and Black Cleaver to create a juggernaut capable of shreding tanky targets. In this build, opt for Hullbreaker or Ravenous Hydra as well for increased pushing power. Conqueror grants access to healing options such as Conqueror and Triumph as well as increasing Attack Speed through Legend: Alacrity and damage at low health through Last Stand. Look to play as a Juggernaut diving enemies and pressuring objectives. Good at Diving

RUNE SHARDS

Slot 1 is generally reserved for Attack Speed for increased clear and dueling potential against tankier targets though it can be swapped for Adaptive Force if you don't think you'll be able to auto attack much in duels such as when against Jax.

Slot 2 will generally go to Adaptive Force to further increase damage. However, Slot 2 can be swapped for Armor or Magic Resist respectively if the enemy has stacked a a specific damage type.

ITEMIZATION


Honoroable Mentions

Trinity Force comes with the passive "Swift Strikes" which gives u MS when you attack someone. It's shining benefit, however, is that "if the target is a champion, increase your base AD by 4% for 3 sec (stacking up to 20%). Seeing as Yorick has the fifth highest base AD at level 18 (147 base AD) he can build Trinity Force to gain decent sustained damage while remaining staggering tanky. Plus, the spellblade from Sheen passive procs on BASE AD, which allows us to retain damage while building tanky.

Divine Sunderer is technically a viable Mythic item. 12% targets max HP damage on proc and 65% of that damage as healing is useful in prolongued fights, such as with bruiders, where this item has itc chance to shine. .. unfortunately, Ravenous Hydra is your go to first item and these two do not synergize well.

HOWEVER, by building this you are forgoing ghoul damage from Eclipse, Trinity Force, and Ravenous Hydra and MUST be able to make it into Q range in order to be effective in combat. I almost never build Divine Sunderer anymore as other options remain useful in less neiche circumstances.

Yorick is weak levels 1-5 if he doesn't have ghouls. Avoid making risky plays early in exchange for farming as ghouls will agro any minions they come into contact to. Losing ghouls in the early game leads to much lower pirority and a slower clear.

Clearing the jungle with Yorick can be quite difficult if you're inexperienced with manipulating his ghouls. Once you get the hang of it, he actually has quite a good clear speed which scales heavily into the late game being able to E -> Q a camp and walk away for the ghouls to finish.




JUNGLE PATHING - BLUE SIDE

Blue -> Top Scuttle -> Gank Top/Mid (Optional) or Contest Bot Scuttle (Optional) -> Contest Bot Scuttle, Gank, Invade, Recall -> Dragon.

Yorick favors staring red buff. Start at red and do a normal 5 camp clear into Top Scuttle. Then you'll generally have one of 4 optiosn.
    • TAKE BOT SCUTTLE
    • GANK TOP
    • GANK MID
    • INVADE ENEMY JG

be set up to finish herald if you do two full clears. You can easily full clear twice to get power to drop a herald in a lane for a huge advantage at Herald or Dragon.

Sometimes someone may be overextended or you see the enemy jungler on the oppsite side of the map. As the game changes you'll have to adapt your clear. Keep in mind you'll want to prioritize OBJECTIVES.




JUNGLE PATHING - RED SIDE

Yorick favors staring red buff. Start at red and do a normal 5 camp clear into Top Scuttle. Then you'll generally have one of 4 optiosn.

MYTHICS



Eclipse is really good for Yorick if you want to get as much damage as possible without being forced to autoattack the enemy alot. Note that you will be very squishy building into this item but once finished the shield and movement speed you get from the Eclipse proc will help out.
