Introduction

Pros
-Can dish out heavy phsyical damage very quickly
-He can hop around in a team fight and target champions easily
-Great damage
-Great chaser
-Great attack speed
-Great farmer due to

Cons
-Succeptable to CC
-Once his spells are on cooldown he can't escape
-Somewhat squishy

This is Nocturnes's passive ability. Every 10 seconds he hits with an AoE spin that heals himself for each unit hit. And every auto attack Nocturne makes will decrease this cooldown by 1 second. This is why this works great with a high attack speed. You will be able to be hitting multiple enemies very rapidly and be healing yourself as well. And with the added starks fervor lifesteal you will be healing very rapidly.

This is Nocturne's Q ability. It is a skill shot in which Nocturne throws a shadow blade. This shadow blade leaves a dusk trail and if Nocturne stays in the dusk trail his movement speed is increased. If you hit an enemy with this spell the enemy champion leaves a dusk trail behind them which is why nocturne is a great chaser. This spell can also be used as an escape tool if you need that little boost to get away.
Cooldown: 10 seconds.
Range: 1200.
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.
Physical Damage: 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+0.75 per bonus attack damage).
Movement Speed Bonus: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 %.

This is Nocturne's W ability. This provides a passive and activate ability. The passive gives him increased attack speed as this it levels up. It is like Kog Maw's





Cost: 50 mana.
Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 seconds.
Passive Attack Speed Bonus: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %.

This is Nocturne's E ability. This is a skill that you cast on an enemy champion and chains them to you dealing damage over time. If the enemy champion stays in range of the skill the enemy champion is feared. It is almost like LeBlanc's Ehteral Chains Ehteral Chains. This is a great spell in a 1v1 situation or to cast on a running away champion. It can also be used in a teamfight to fear the carry and you can use it for running away if you wanted to.
Range: 500.
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds.
Total Magic Damage: 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 (+1.0 per ability power).
Fear Duration: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 second(s).

This is Nocturne's R ability (ultimate). He reduces the sight range of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision as well. After he casts this he can dash to an enemy champion dealing a pretty heavy amount of damage. I love using this spell as a ganking tool and a teamfighting tool. It is very good to use when you are sitting in a bush and dash out and are right next to the enemy champion. In teamfighting when the tank comes in first to initiate and blocks me from reaching the squishy I can then use this spell to hop right on the squishy. And also since the tank most likely can't see the squishy it will be hard for the tank to protect hiim/her.
Cost: 100 mana.
Range: 2000.
Cooldown: 160 / 130 / 100 seconds.
Physical Damage: 150 / 300 / 450 (+1.2 per bonus attack damage).
Range: 2500 / 3250 / 4000 .
My usual spell combo is R + W + E + Q. The ult first to initiate and then the W to block a spell, the E to fear them, and the Q to gain movement speed. Once your through the rotation the champion should be dead :D.
Greater Mark Of Desolation
I chose these because it gives you great armor penetration which helps all throughout the game. I would not suggest
because you will have enough attack speed coming from Greater Seal Of Alazrity and

I chose these because they give you a decent amount of attack speed and at higher levels you will have 2.0 attack speed with the added attack speed from
and

I chose these for basically the same reason as above. They give you that little boost of attack speed that will help you a lot.
Greater Quintessence Of Desolation
These are great. They give you added armor penetration on top of Greater Mark Of Desolation. It helps greatly late game against anyone in general but just helps with tanks as well that are stacking armor.
These are optional. I suggest Greater Quintessence Of Desolation instead but if you want a little bit extra of attack speed you can use these. Whatever floats your boat.

You might not know but it can be for offensive as well. If you can't catch up to an enemy ex. they have boots before you, they use

I would not use this at all. Newbs should take this. I don't like it all because the cooldown is so long and the speed boost isn't very long.

This should be used for jungling Nocturnes. Otherwise please don't take this.

You could use this but I would not suggest this. You already have a teleport

This is a great early game item. Its nice for the early game health boost and damage. It also provides a little bit of lifesteal which is ver small but in essence it helps you regen faster on top of


I love these boots for DPS. It gives you enhanced movement speed +2 and gives you an attack speed bonus which is really nice. These boots in general I think are the best for Nocturne.

I like to get this befor youmuu's just for that little bit of extra lifesteal to stack onto



I like to get this because of its active and it is very nice to rush. It is amazing and has tons of killing power. It is amazing for ganks and that is why I like it.

I get this after zeal because it gives more critical chance and heavy damage. This heavy damage will result in high criticals and gaining lots of lifesteal per hit because your damage is up. This item just boosts your damage and after this you will be hitting like a semi-truck, well maybe a littler faster then one, but you get the point.

I build this pretty earlier on because it give Nocturne that extra surviveabillity. It will help you so much because of the Magic resist and the health and mana boost.

This item is so great late game. It gives you attack speed, movement speed, and more critical chance. It will help you tear down enemy champions quicker.

You can get this if you are having toubles getting focused and hammered on by DPS people, like



You can get this if the enemy team is a high magic damage stacking team. If you feel like you are getting hurt a lot because of magic damage you could get Force of Nature. But if you feel like some magic damaging is hurting you but not a lot get a

Sion is great too. Another viable lane partner that I have done well with is
. He has heal and can harass like a bee-otch. I dont exactly know why but I have owned my lane with

. His bandage toss and his ultimate are great and help Nocturne for ganking and such. Taunters also work EXTREMELY well with him. Think of it as free hits.

Nocturne is a very great carry and can go mid. If you go mid just try to focus on last hitting and farming. Once your level 6 go around ganking with your ultimate, your team will thank you. He can dish out physical damage in an instant and can hop around and obliterate enemies. I love this new champion, he might be a bit OP, but WHATEVER. I love him he can own. I have not had a bad game with him yet, his spells work in harmony with him so go ahead have fun with him. PLEASE NO TROLLS, CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICSM IS NICE.
