This is honestly one of the neatest and best guides I've seen. There's not much wrong and it's helped me learn more about Udyr a champion I've been learning.

Is there a specific use for each build (i.e. depending when you have certain champions on your team or you're against a minor/major threat champion) or both builds are up to the summoner's choice?

Right now you pretty much just always want to go the main build (current OP build). the other build is there in case phoenix udyr ever comes back.. but they'd have to buff it a decent amount to make it meta again

I have 2 questions
1. Bloodrazor or warrior? I remember in season 6 or season 7 Udyr had bloodrazor/devourer in recommended. Now I see Warrior in recommended
2. Hunter's machete or talisman? I see two ways to take off. Which is better?

This build should be called Foolproof Udyr. Anyways, reporting from my last game experience on your build:

I went 24/7/6 with the Tiger Stance build. I went up against a Jungler Jax. The guy tried to invade me at level 4 when I was level 5 & he got dumpstered. I ganked all my lanes with ease, still managed to keep up my Health with awesome sustain, & got everyone ahead.(Unfortunately we had a Yasuo who fed Ziggs, BUT THAT DIDN'T MATTER! I swooped in & stomp Ziggs easily!) It was a massively winning game, except for our Yasuo who rushed Bloodthirster into Berserker's Greaves into Phantom Dancer & later, at some point in the game after giving him assists, Infinity Edge.

Needless to say, we ended up losing. They had an Enemy Kai'Sa who got fed off of Yasuo & the rest of the team after I shut her down early to mid game. We began losing turrets & only turrets(Because I took all the dragons and eventually Baron), until the point where Jax was at the Nexus, hitting it.

I weighed it out like this: " Jax will just use his Counter Strike & completely avoid my attacks until it's destroyed, so I'll just kill Ziggs again and say GG."

I received SO MUCH HATE from my team for that.

"Why didn't you kill the Jax? What the hell is wrong with you???"

In my mind, I'm thinking, "These guys have no idea what the **** they're talking about if they think I can stop Jax from taking Nexus."

I made an attempt anyways & saw him start up his Counter Strike, so I said **** it & killed Ziggs.

There is no way Udyr could ever stop Jax from looting nexus unless he ****s up his Counter Strike or his teammates stun spam him til his Counter Strike is down, so don't go complaining.

I hope this gets out to all the guys who keep flaming Udyr's for avoiding Jax 9 times out of 10, because the **** really sucks when you go and make us feel bad over something we can't do anything about.

I killed Jax 3 times with Chilling Smite that game!!!!

i use this guide for the OP build, wanted to try switching things up to the not so fireproof, but am i missing something? condition and boneplating are of the same tier and you have nothing selected for the first tier. like i asked am i missing something or is that just a small mistake?

I've been playing around with it, and it seems much stronger in 1v1 scenarios and not much worse in team fights. I'll keep testing but for now it seems to have a slight advantage. Overall though you can really take either and be just fine!

I'm loving the not so fireproof version of Udyr! I love being an unstoppable tank and just diving into teams while they waste their abilities on your unbreakable body.

When should i go blue smite instead of red? When should i build more dmg rather than tank items? and one last Thing, I'm in silver so thats Maybe why but a lot of the counter junglers you mentionned are really easy to beat at lvl 2 at crab fights like kayn, eve or Nocturne. Finally, nice guide ist very detailed

Blue smite makes your gap close much stronger, so it's very useful against any champions with high mobility or good escapes. I always take it over red. The only reason to take red is if you're against a lot of champs with very little mobility (of which there aren't a lot of), and you plan on split pushing a lot and 1v1ing people constantly. Also thanks for the compliments on the guide! Glad you found it useful :)

How good is Udyr top? I've moved away from jungling onto support, but Udyr looks like he could be fun and I have the Definitely Not Udyr skin. Does Udyr require lots of experience in the jungle or is he one of those "pick and GO GO GO GO GO" type champions?

Top lane is not recommended unless you're very skilled, and even then it's not the most optimal champ up there. For jungle, he's a fairly easy champion to play since he doesn't have any skill shots so yeah i'd definitely recommend trying him out in the jungle!
