Introduction

He will crash into the enemy team with

In this guide, I will show you how to play Malphite like a rock slide: a terrifying curtain of stone that wants you dead (instead of the standard 'annoying immovable wall' meta).
That is THE answer. At max ranks it increases your total AD (and armor) by 40% for 6 seconds. This makes him a late-game beast. With the Rock & Roll build above, activating

1.
2. 3. |
It comes with passive splash damage. Like a built-in ![]() It also boosts armor. You can hit harder while taking more hits. It's 40%! You can build tanky and still deal scary amounts of damage. |
Let's compare with some heavy hitters:

Malphite compares well. Inherently,

What's better than

Let's say you dive into a teamfight and start hitting 3 people at once. That's 24% lifesteal from one item (12% from first target, 6% + 6% from other two). THAT'S INSANE. Best case scenario is you're hitting all 5 enemy champs, plus creeps. That's at least 36% lifesteal.
Pros / Cons
Pros
+ Duels ADCs no problem + Amazing late game damage + Good teamfights + Inherent tankiness w/ ![]() + Reduce poke w/ ![]() + YOU make the plays w/ ![]() // MORE IN-DEPTH EXPLANATION |
Cons
- Item dependent - Mana problems - Can be kited - Weak against mages/burst - Easily ganked before 6 - YOU can miss w/ ![]() // MORE IN-DEPTH EXPLANATION |

Max this last. The chasing potential helps, but most times you won't catch them without a teammate's help.
- Use this to chase or escape ganks.
Seismic Shard a minion if the enemy champ is out of range
- After
Unstoppable Force,
Seismic Shard the enemy right as they hit the ground to maximize slow duration.
- Reduce Hecarim's damage (trololol)

Max this first, but after six. You don't have much AD before 6 so it's not as effective.
Brutal Strikes right before
Ground Slam to boost its damage in a fight (
Ground Slam has an armor ratio). Don't use it for harass unless you have mana to burn.
- When low on health:
Brutal Strikes before
Whirling Death,
Super Mega Death Rocket!, or any other physical damage skillshot to reduce damage.
Brutal Strikes to slay towers.

Max this second.
Ground Slam when enemy champ gets close to your minions. This is your basic harass.
- Pro-tip: if you have mana to burn,
Ground Slam when enemy champ tries to cs. Since it reduces attack speed, you can deny him creeps.
- Always
Ground Slam when dueling or teamfighting. Aim for their ADC or attack speed reliant champs.
Ground Slam when Wukong
Nimbus Strikes you. He will probably clone right after, but the AoE will still hit him.

As always, take a point in this whenever it's available.
- COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR TEAM SO THEY KNOW YOU'RE ULTING. Do NOT surprise your teammates unless you need to. If you
Unstoppable Force into the whole enemy team without support, you will probably die. Ping or communicate with Skype/chat.
- Combine with Orianna/Lulu/Lux/Solari shield before you ult to survive in the middle of enemy team.
- Combine with Yasuo ult to deal massive damages.
- Be a man. Go in and commit. Your build is tanky enough to survive the initial burst, especially if you get shielded beforehand.
- Try to get everyone in the ult. But don't wait too long for the right moment if you're getting poked down.
