Welcome to my Jayce mid guide! I'm Dare366 or Ganish and this guide is to help you with what you need to understand playing Jayce middle.

I'm a mid main and main Ahri
I first started playing Jayce because when I first went up against a Jayce I had no idea what he did. He always had a trick up his sleeve and I was so intrigued by his kit. I picked him up and loved his kit as he has mobility and gap closing, he's good early game and dishes out tons of damage. His kit also has a lot of outplay potential and It feels so good to pull off a Jayce combo successfully. I mainly only play him mid because I understand most of the mid matchups.

PROS

-One of the best early games/mid games
-Very Mobile
-Outplay potential
-Boi can one shot people
-Good poke and wave clear early/mid
-HAS 6 ABILITIES (kindof)

CONS

-Not the best late game
-Very hard to play to the most efficiency
-Long cooldowns
-High mana hungry
-You can't really go hammer form to hit things and get mana mid lane because they will poke you.

DOMINATION


ELECTROCUTE: This gives you huge burst and will proc with ranged e+q, runinto your gate and change into hammer, then q+w auto + q + ignite and it give you a kill most of the time.


SUDDEN IMPACT:Synergy with To The Skies!


ZOMBIE WARD:Zombie Ward is very helpful as most of the time you push in early and try to get a ward into a bush in the topside middle bush or the topside mid bush. Gives you extra vision and is a good rune.


RELENTLESS HUNTER:Gives you movement speed which has synergy with celerity and helps when you go through your Acceleration Gate.



SORCERY


CELERITY:Good Synergy with your Acceleration Gate.


SCORCH:Very good early game runes and will help with your all in. you want to poke during the early game and try to find a chance to all in him and Scorch with Ignite will do a lot of damage.

ITEMS

UMBRAL GLAIVE:This is a super strong and effective first buy item. This give you early lethality and vision control early in the game which is what you want on jayce. It's super cost effective and pairs well with his movement speed. This is a great first buy, but personally I like Yommu's more because the movement speed and roaming potential. Good first item in higher elos.(plat+)

YOMMUS GHOSTBLADE:Jayce’s main item because it gives him so much mobility and dmg. Helps you roam and can delay boots buy because it gives movement speed.


DUSKBLADE:Gives you more leathality and can help clear wards obviously. If you have the duskblade passive up, [Acceleration Gate]& [Shock Blast] has disgusting damage. Pretty much a one shot item because your up against a squishy mid.


THE BLACK CLEAVERBlack Cleaver helps a lot because of the phage passive and helps shred armor. Gives you 40% CDR and pretty much your only health item on Jayce that makes you a little tanky.


MAW OF MALMORTIUS:For me it's a must have when you have gold to buy it. This helps tremendously against anything ap.

ALL IN ALL:

MUST READ( naw not really but it's funny)
He's pretty good mid lane in low elo and stuff cuz nobody know what he does lol. Like I get people walking next to there caster creeps and I just [acceleration gate] & [shock blast] them and it takes like half there hp away lol.

He's not too hard to learn and all you need to know is he does a lot of damage. He's not the best late game but you got your E+Q so you can just poke.

You might run out of mana a lot soooo yeah. Something people don't really know about Jayce is HIS FIRST AUTO REDUCES ARMOR and HE GAINS ARMOR AND MR WHEN HE TRANSFORMS lol. So I always make sure to get the first auto in ranged for first in lane before hitting creeps.

This updated guide is my survival guide through this disgusting patch.This patch is all about high damage and One Shotting people. Jayce is decent into this melee meta where everyone is picking Sett,diana, Sylas, etc.
Take my advice with a grain of salt this is what I've experienced in diamond and lemme say it's cancer when the enemy team has some dumb ****.
Not much else to say but you have a stronger mid game than early because of the q buff and lethality buffs from a couple patches ago. this patch and get fed boys. Games on your shoulder.
