Intro
This is the first real guide I've ever made. Kennen is my favorite top laner. I may not be a good Kennen but I love the champ. You can play him Top and Mid and he is very powerful or play him support which is stupid but still fun. There is a lot you can do on Kennen and it's all fun. :)

Laning Phase Mid/Top
You are a ranged top/mid laner so you need to play like a bully into close-ranged champs. Start with your Thundering Shuriken(Q) level 1 and use it to poke your laner. When you hit level 3 and you can go in and get your stun off. Play the lane like a monster and try to kill them when they get low. At level 6 you have a lot of kill pressure. There are a lot of better top laners but you can still beat them if you play well.


Laning Phase Support
Your landing phase is pretty good but you have to play it very smart. At level 1
you just want to poke. Try to bully the enemy ADC without letting yourself get
bullied. When you hit level 2 nothing changes. Keep poking and try to stay back.
When you finally get to level 3 you can go in. Try to stun both the ADC and
Support. Still, be careful because there are a lot better supports than you.

Level 6
When you hit level 6 you are very powerful. You deal soo much damage at this point
in the game and you can win most fights. Go for the ADC if you have tank support.


Abilites Order

Passive Ability

MARK OF THE STORM (Passive): Your passive is very important because it is where all of your CC come from. This also has a fair bit of damage. After 3 uses of your abilities in a row they get Stunned, This also works with your Ult.

Q

THUNDERING SHURIKEN (Q): This ability is used for poke and that's it. This late-game does a lot of damage and is important to hit. It's kinda hard to hit but not the worst in the world.

W

ELECTRICAL SURGE (W): With this you get an active and a passive. Every few autos one of them will proke your passive and when actived it will add one proke to your main passive.

E

LIGHTNING RUSH (E): Mobility is very important with Kennen becuse of his Ult. When you are in this form you are not targetable so using this to run away is very helpful.

R

SLICING MAELSTROM (R): One of the best Ult in the game becuse of its gaint AOE stun. This is also a high damage becuse of the amount of times it activates.

DOMINATION

Electrocute is the best for Kennen because of your 3 hit passive. So when you have stunned then you also proke your Electrocute which is a lot of damage. Dark Harvest is not as good but it is one-shot funny. Predator would be funny but is not good at all only good for ult but would all your damage.

You can go Taste of Blood or Cheap Shot but the healing is better for the late game. The healing is not as good early but the late game will heal a fair amount. Cheap Shot is good for more damage but not as good late game.

When playing high damage carry like Kennen, Eyeball Collection is great for increasing your damage. This gives you 6 Ad and 10 Ap which is a fair amount, especially in the late game.

You can run almost any one of these on Kennen but some are better than others. With Ultimate Hunter you get your ult more often which is very important. Relentless Hunter gives speed and this is also an important part of your characters. Ravenous Hunter is good if you know you are going to get poked out.

SORCERY

You have a fair amount of extra movement from your ability this adds even more movement from Celerity. Going the rune Transcendence is also good because it gives you the ability haste which can help you a lot. Even Absolute Focus can also work.

I run Gathering Storm because of the extra damage you gain in the late game. Scorch is also good, can let you get a kill that would have gotten away.

With the double diamond, you get a lot of early Ap so you can get more early damage in. You can also go more attack speed but it's not that good in the late game and not necessary.

SORCERY

Phase Rush is the best for Kennen Support because you have a lot of speed in your kit and need to hit more poke. Also lets you hit more people with your ultimate.

When you use your spells you get a lot of speed which help generally with kill pressure and running from the enemy with flash. Manaflow Band is not good if you didn't know.

PROS + High burst damage + Extreme 1v1 potential + Very powerful late game + High mobility + Best team fighting ult Kennen has a pretty good laning phase both in support and Top/Mid. You can 1v1 fine in the Top/Mid lane but not support. You can get out of most thing becuse of your mobility. Your Ult is very powerful and can win almost any team fight with this ability.

CONS - Will get poked out in lane (support) - Ult has to be in enemy team - There are way better champs - Needs items - Very low health, armor and MR You are not as good as most Top/Mid and your Support is very bad too. In Support you will be poked out extremly becuse of your low Health, armor and MR. Also you need your Ult for most fights. Items are very important with kennen so if you are behind you are very useless.

Roaming
When you kill your laner or have pushed in the wave you can go for a gank mid. I would say you should have ult but it is not necessary, try to go from behind and hit your abilities so they get stunned. If you are playing Top/Mid and have TP you can try to go bot lane.

1.Hextech Rocketbelt You need to get into the enemy team so having a dash on your mythic is very powerful. This also give Magic Pen which is never a bad thing. the **** load of AP is also good.

2.Zhonya's Hourglass This has one of the best actives on an item. When u want you go imortal but you cant do anything. You also get armor so this is just a generally good item.

3.Horizon Focus When you get this you are at your biggest power spick in the Top/Mid. The extra damage is you get is ****ing stupid. When you CC someone you deal more damage and becuse your whole kit is all CC its very stupid.

4.Cosmic Drive You have no mana so having your ability up is never a bad thing. There is also alot of Ap that you gain with this item, there is also some Hp that you gain.

5.Demonic Embrace This gives you alot Hp for a magic damage item. Also gives you a mini Liandry's Torment which can help with getting kills which would have gotten away.

1.Sorcerer's Shoes All most every time ive played Kennen they go Mercury's Treads, so these are the best boots .

2.Plated Steelcaps If you are fighting a heavy AD team or there is a fed AD god going these boots can safe you or let you live a little bit longer

Counters/synergys
In a team fight your goal is to hit an amazing R and not die, so people who can one-shot you like Kayn and Xerath are very annoying. Also, you want to one-shot yourself so tanks like Ornn and Malphite are very stupid. You synergize well with grouping UlTs like Rell and Orianna.


In Conclusion
