Masteries

A 9/0/21 Mastery Tree for perfect balance between AP and AD in combination with the runes and items.

Cooldown reduction, additional gold, Magic penetration, Mana regen and Movement speed are very important early game!

Items

I like to start of with Boots, 2 Health Potions and 1 Mana Potion to stay on my lane longer. Occupy the bush begin game and place a stack of Jack In The Boxes there, this will increase the chance of first blood and the fear would also help you escape if needed. As soon as I return I buy Vampiric Sceptor and Mobility Boots, the life steal helps you stay in lane longer and the Mobility Boots really help you out with ganking and escaping. You'll soon notice your need of Mana. Here I always buy a Sheen. Later in game I buy a Bilgewater Cutlass and a B. F. Sword. At this point you should be killing people and gank other lanes. After some kills I buy Lich Bane and a Hextech Gunblade. Now the time will come when they know that going inside the bush is dangerous, time to surprise them with a Guinsoo's Rageblade and an Infinity Edge. Later on you'll need to stay in fight longer, here I'd like to buy Bloodthirster.

In the beginning you'll need Jack In The Box to occupy the bush and get an optional first blood. After this happened you'll have to unlock Deceive for escaping, harrassing and ganking. After this you'll need Two-Shiv Poison to harrass and slow the enemy. I like to max Jack In The Box and Two-Shiv Poison at the same time since this is a hybrid build and they go really well together. Once you get your Hallucinate the mindgames begin; lure them with your ulti, pop your ulti when there is a face to face fight and play mindgames all the time. You can also run to one direction and then use Deceive in the opposite direction. Whatever you do, getting away with your skills is easy.

Summoner Spells

Ignite to secure kills and to pop when ganking

Ghost for that little extra movement buff when escaping, harrassing, securing a kill or playing your mindgames.

You can replace this by Flash, Exhaust or Teleport.
