Introduction

Hi everyone, I'm EâtMyHook, a Main on the EUW Server. I love and his Powerfull Kit! But I've also noticed that a lot of lower ELO Player have trouble utilizing him effectively, whether it be landing or . I decided the best Action that i can make, is this Guide, to help Thresh Players in any ELO! This is my First Guide, so if you have any advice, corrections, opinions, or things i should fix or clarify, comment below or write me a Privat Message!

Why especially Thresh?

is in my Eyes, and in the Eyes from a lot of people, one of the best picks you can do as Support in League of Legends. He's also one of the most picked Support Champions! He is a CC Heavy Tank that is able to peel for his squishier Teammates. He is always a strong pick, and his ability to engage and disengage are further amplified by his Kit.

Pros and Cons

✔ Easy Engage/Disengage with
✔ Extremely high CC
✔ Scaling Armor/AP with the Passiv
✔ Few Counter Matchups
✔ A good Play Maker
✔ Good peel potential

is one of the Strongest Support Picks. His Ability to save Team Mates and secure Kills, while being able to peel and disengage is just super Effectiv.

does have his own share of downsides however. The 0.5 Second Delay on can make predicting difficult, and misscommunication can make your Job as Supporter really hard.

Runes Reforged

These are my Normal Keystones for . I dont really switch much on them cuz i can play with them very well! You have a good Lane Sustain with that allows you to restore Health/Mana during the Lane without having to back!

You also got . 's best Friend, as you gain increased movement towards movement impaired allies. That means that your Team Mates will arrive faster with . It also allows you to faster follow ups to your and !

Summoner Spells

Flash

You pick Flash in every Game, so you have some sort of escape Mechanic if you get Grabed/Stunned or Caught in a Bad Situation. Flash is also good for Engaging/Getting in range for you Death Sentence or Flay when you are chasing an Enemy.

Ignite

The best Second spell is Ignite because it will increase your Kill Potential on the Bot Lane a lot. Its also a good pick against heavy healing Supports like Soraka , Sona and Nami because it will cut their Healing in Fights by Half.

Exhaust

Less common second spell that i only pick when i play against Assassins like Zed , Talon or Akali

Damnation

Damnation Passiv: The scaling that this ability provides is a great Part of Thresh. It Provides your AP to improve the Damage of your abilities, and gives you armor to the further mitigate the damage you'll be Tanking. In Order to scale howevery, you need to Collect the Souls that drop around the Laningphase. When you assist your Jungler with Drake, you will get 2 Souls. When you cant grab them because Enemies are near by, just throw your Dark Passage on the Souls to Collect them.

Death Sentence

Death Sentence Q : This is your most Important Skill on Thresh 's Kit. This is your Gab Closer, your Escape, and your Disengage. One Important thing to know when you are using Death Sentence is, whenever you cast it, it has a 0.5 Second Delay before its getting casted. For this Reason, aim ahead of where your Target is, or where you think he will be. It can also be used as Interrupt when Enemies channeling Teleport. In extremely rare cases, when Thresh tugs on his target, if they are alongside a thin wall, they can be pulled trough. Dont forget that you dont need to Face the Direction in which you are going to cast your Death Sentence. Turn your Back and cast your Death Sentence to catch an Enemie off Guard.

Dark Passage

Dark Passage W: This Skill is one of the best Escape Methods in League of Legends. Not only that it has the best peel capability, it also can be used as offensively to pull an ally Towards you when you are going for a Trade or an All-In. Instat of Facechecking you also can use Dark Passage. Just throw it in a Bush and you will have Vision a short Amount of Time. One of the Important things to know is, that Allies can Teleport on your Dark Passage while its Active. Little Fun Fact here, in 2k17 your Mates esp. your ADC will not take your Dark Passage just for the Memes.

Flay

Flay E: One of the most important Skills in your Kit. Flay is both a good tool for poking and for CC. It can also be used to Interrupt Enemie Skills just as Jarvan IV E+Q Combo or Leona 's Engage. It also interrupts Teleport. You also can Interrupt Jumping Animations just like Kha'Zix 's Leap or Tristana 's Rocket Jump. When a Enemie is Extremly Close to a Wall, you can also Flay them over the Wall. Keep in Mind that your Flay is also a Knockup. Extremly Usefull with an Allied Yasuo. You use your Flay and Knockup some Enemies and Yasuo can use his Last Breath.

The Box

The Box R: One of the most slowing Abilities in League of Legends. Thresh 's Ultimate can keep an Enemy locked within his Walls for up to 5 Seconds, unless he wants to take the Damage and the slow penalty. When you use The Box your Goal is it to Flay them out of it so that they take the Slow and the Damage. After you Flay them you can use Death Sentence very easy and it should be an easy Kill for you. Dont Forget that The Box has an extremly high Cool Down.
