Strat: steal the scuttle(preferably the one your jungler is not doing). Abuse that lane exp, what is a level 3 jungler going to do? Fake back, then rotate to scuttle. the enemy laner will be busy pushing. breaks scuttle shield so you can even clear it before he arrives. + heal makes the 1v1 very hard to lose, usually a is forced.
Always full clear, exception if an immobile champ overextends, then you can gank. Just remember Morde ganks pre 6 are SAD TO WATCH. Once you hit 6 the real fun begins, Morde is strong at turning fights as you can almost always save your laner with , ruining there dreams of a 1 for 1. Ganking bot is always fun, what counterplay does a level 4 immobile adc have against exhaust mordekaiser? they can be 4/0 for all I care, collect that free gold.
Lane Only: Save smites from minute 16, back at minute 19 buy take a detour through jungle and double smite. Reason behind this is the passive on which reduces gold and exp gain from minions pre 20 minutes. This manouver costs about 1 wave of minions if you don't swap with your jungler. Then return to lane and smite on cooldown until you complete the smite quest.
Once you have you want to force 1v1s with your target, do whatever it takes, perma invade ,dive, proxy for all I care. Worst case scenario you trade 1 for 1.
what this means is you can not reach 100% damage reduction :(
True damageis not effected by damage reduction. Making this build worthless against certain champions. Refer to matchups for more info.
VS abusers(disgusting). Fist of all they wasted 1200 gold when you could just ult someone else. Secondly you play around this by splitting your tools up. for example + ≈ 60% damage reduction practically unwinnable for them. They then you can follow up with ult + ≈ 60% damage reduction. All this item does is stop the forced 1v1 so do not 1v5 and expect them to be a get out of jail free card.
Target selection: While picking the most fed enemy is almost always a good choice. I know you are playing this to avoid this exact thing but you have to think for once.
Will I actually fight this enemy in the next few minutes? no point in in picking bot lane while you are still laning.
Can I actually kill the target? Tanks and high mobility champs like or can just stall for the 7 second duration.

You can easily 1v3 with this, 1v1 the largest threat (should cost you at most 20% hp.)
Them apply damage reduction as needed. You have enough sustain to ignore low damage champions.
Splitting:easily take turrets, they can not stop you with less than 2 carries. Pull large amounts of pressure on the map and tilt carries.
Teamfighting:should be avoided as you just want to vacuum the map for resources and force "heavily unfavored" 1v1s. If find yourself in a scenario with no other choice you are left with 2 options:
