Champion Build Guide
Pros and Cons
Zeri is a very unique Marksman. Her Burst Fire playstyle and active kit make her one of the most fun champions to play when she can do what she wants. However, Zeri has some very obvious shortcomings in the current game that can make her difficult to pull off. If she doesn’t survive to take advantage of her mid-game power spikes, Zeri can find herself outmatched going into the late game when other ADC’s thrive. If you want to play Zeri, try to learn how to recognize your opportunities. Taking over a fight as Zeri is one of the best feelings an ADC can have.
+ Zeri is a mobile gunner champion with fast movement speed. + Huge amount of damage. + The ability to move quickly and easily, easily poke the opponent. |
- Weak health - Hard to play - Need equipment to be strong - Requires high practice, accurate use of directional moves. - Basic attacks can be dodged - Fear of CC |

The solvable adverse effects are Ignite, Exhaust, summoner spell effects Smite |

Runes
- As a gunner who has the ability to trade and deal damage continuously with Burst Fire - Q shots, so the super gems Zeri should use Lethal Tempo and Conqueror will be the top 2 choices for her.
- You can also use the Press the Attack rune, to enhance her quick and powerful burst damage, or the defensive Fleet Footwork, which makes Zeri safer until she has enough pages. necessary equipment, in order to increase the ability to stay on the road if encountering difficult rafters.
- Choose Presence of Mind if you don't intend to use Essence Reaver equipment
Zeri Items
MYTHIC ITEMS
|
Trinity Force Mythic Passive: Empowers each of your other Legendary items with 3 bonus attack damage, 3 ability haste, and 3 bonus movement speed |
|
Kraken Slayer Build Kraken Slayer for damage. Kraken Slayer is fantastic for fighting and boosts your damage output immensely. This item alone is a huge powerspike. |
|
Galeforce Buy Galeforce if you want more mobility for Zeri. At the same time, it also helps you to accumulate damage quickly in a short time |
|
Immortal Shieldbow Build Shieldbow to survive. You must build this item against team comps that will insta-kill you. It is only meant to keep you alive to deal damage. Otherwise Kraken Slayer is superior for damage. |
CORE ITEMS
|
Essence Reaver Essence Reaver: Zeri likes this item because it gives mana back from spell casts and has a sheen built inside of it so you get more damage with your passive. The ability haste and crit chance make this item a lot better for spell casters ADC's. I would only really consider this item if you struggle with mana or are split pushing for the sheen procs. - With Presence of Mind and Essence Reaver your mana problems are solved. At this point of the game you can spam skills without hesitating. |
|
Blade of the Ruined King Blade of the Ruined King: Blade of the Ruined King is one of the core item for Zeri It grants Physical Damage and Attack Speed which are both great stats, but the important is the passive and life steal from Blade of the Ruined King The passive grants her a huge damage boost combined with Guinsoo's Rageblade and the life steal from Blade of the Ruined King makes Zeri laning much easier. The active is a crucial part of Blade of the Ruined King The active deals 100 Magic Damage to an enemy champion and steals 25% Movement Speed from the target for 3 seconds. The movement speed helps him in skirmishes and 1v1s vs melees by kiting and also grants him a higher chance to dodge certain abilities which gives an edge in the skirmish. The raw Magic Damage from the active is not too bad either, even when you are vs a range and nothing to dodge, it could still be useful as it is an instant cast. |
|
Phantom Dancer Phantom Dancer gives great sustained damage for teamfights since it gives a ton of attack speed. It also synergizes really well with Hail of Blades, as it’s passive triggers. Phantom Dancer’s movement speed also helps you stick on to opponents well. |
|
Wit's End Wit's End: Because of akshan's high attack speed combined with Rageblade it might be a good idea to build Wit's End What makes Wit's End good is that it deals bonus magic damage which makes a huge difference. You might ask yourself why that is a big deal Guinsoo's Rageblade gains 3 unique passives, one is has "15% Magic Penetration" the other is "Deal an additional 15 magic damage on-hit" and the third is of course "Every third basic attack triggers on-hit effect an addtional time" this makes it so you will deal massive amount of Magic damage on their tanks that might build full armor towards you |
|
Infinity Edge Infinity Edge: Won't be used in this build because of Infinity Edge Unique passive that counter Guinsoo's Rageblade passive. However, there is a build path that goes Kraken Slayer, Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge which works really well also for akshan, giving his that big 3 item spike after completing Infinity Edge |
|
Lord Dominik's Regards Lord Dominik's Regards: In most scenarios, Lord Dominik's Regards won't be needed. However, if their team is really heavy armor reliant, such as Ezreal Frozen Heart ADC, Tank support, tanky Jungler and tanky Top laner, Lord Dominik's Regards could grow to be useful. On top of that it grants a great 35 pure Attack Damage boost |
|
Runaan's Hurricane Runaan's Hurricane: Gives a heck ton of attack speed for late game teamfights and essentially TRIPLES on-hit effectiveness when the enemy team is clumped up together. |
|
Black Cleaver Black Cleaver: Has most of the great stats a ADC wants (attack, health, ability haste) above all, it also has the ability to reduce enemy armor. Black Cleaver is usually used on juggernauts because they can easily apply stacks and survive long enough to benefit from the penetration. Armor reduction and penetration effects stack, allowing an attacking character to benefit simultaneously from Black Cleaver's shred, penetration runes, other items such as Last Whisper, and champion abilities that circumvent armor. |
|
Berserker's Greaves Berserker's Greaves:This is the standard equipment of each ADC. It has hit speed, move speed. Too good for the price of 1100 gold |
SITUATIONAL ITEMS
|
Guardian Angel Guardian Angel:Is a really good item vs AD assassins. has pure AD that boost your damage and also gain a huge amount of armor. The unique passive is one of the most powerful item passive in the game. After the assassin used their ultimate on you they will need to kill you again but this time without it. By the time you get back to life their Assassin might be dead already. I recommand this item vs: Rengar Zed Kha'Zix Kayn Viego and Nocturne |
|
Mortal Reminder Mortal Reminder:Is a great item vs champions that rely on healing the 40% healing reduce up to 60% from Grievous Wounds make a world of difference. I recommand to buy this item only if they have fed champions on opposite team such as: Vladimir Darius Soraka Warwick Volibear Yuumi Viego and Dr. Mundo |
|
Rapid Firecannon Rapid Firecannon: Is the more defensive iteam. It increases Zeri's attack range and some necessary stats |
|
Maw of Malmortius Maw of Malmortius: Helps attack damage-based champions against enemy teams with high amounts of magic damage. Can absorb most of the initial burst of magic damage from an enemy champion and give the owner an opportunity to attack or retreat. It is very useful against ability power casters with long cooldowns. Maw of Malmortius still provides less effective health against magic damage than dedicated, anti-magic damage defensive items like Spirit Visage or Force of Nature. However, Maw of Malmortius come with the advantage of not sacrificing offensive potential, which allows an Zeri champion to better recover from behind when facing an enemy AP champion. Keep in mind, however, that Maw of Malmortius's passive is not useful at all against most Zeri champions, while the other aforementioned defensive items still give effective HP and sustain to use against an enemy Zeri, even though the magic resistance itself is not useful. This can be significant during the mid game if you aren't preparing an armor item against them, or if the enemy Zeri champion is fed. Choosing wisely between those items can overcome this issue. |
|
The Collector The Collector: Very strong for snowballing, cost-effective. Crit is great for the crit Zeri build and a great 2nd/3rd item against opponents without armor. |
|
Mercurial Scimitar Mercurial Scimitar:AKA is great vs champions that rely heavy crowd control such as Ashe Mordekaiser , Morgana , Lux , Sejuani , Cassiopeia , Elise , Skarner , Malzahar , Another thing to note is that quicksilver works against Mordekaiser Realm of Death It also has a decent Attack Damage, Life Steal and Magic Resistance |
|
Bloodthirster Bloodthirster: Gives a bunch of AD and a whopping 20% extra lifesteal. As said earlier in the runes section, with Legend: Bloodline Zeri gets up to 40% lifesteal! The passive shield gives you even more survivability in teamfights. If you get to this three item spike, you are essentially unkillable. |

How to Play??
Tips and Tricks
|
+ Stay on the move! You will get additional charges which will help you deal more damage and win trades.
+ If the enemy Jungler is ganking your lane, try and E- Spark Surge across terrain when possible. This will help you create further distance between you and the enemy and allow you to escape the gank.
+ Teamfighting for Zeri can be very impactful especially with her Ultimate. The thing is not to just run-in with your E over terrain to use your Ultimate regardless of how tempting it is.
+ Even though her Q- Burst Fire has a max range of 825 units, Zeri will most often finding herself playing around 500 to 600 range so she can land her basic attacks and ensure her Burst Fires land. This makes her similar to ADC champions like Samira, Vayne, or Kai’Sa who don’t just sit back and auto attack. These picks are at their best when they can brawl in closer ranges.
Early Game
|
+ As an ADC, Zeri's primary goal in the laning phase is to acquire gold and experience. Despite being a relatively short-range character, with the right Support she has the potential to bully her opponents out of lane
+ Continue picking up farm in the side lanes when no team fights are occurring, but spend as little time away from your team. You need gold and XP to buy items and if you fall behind, it will be unlikely that you’ll be able to dish out damage in fights.
+ While looking out for opportunities to be aggressive with your Spark Surge dash can prove exceptionally beneficial, you should be careful
+ Your ability to damage while on the move with Q- Burst Fire means you can effectively chase opponents down and a well-placed W- Ultrashock Laser slow can provide all the opportunity you require for an engage
+ While Zeri has the potential to surprise an opponent with your burst, you should be aware that she is also extremely squishy. Farming until level six and then becoming aggressive is an option, as Lightning Crash gives you a strong cooldown to use in a skirmish.
Mid Game
|
+ Look for picks with your Support/Jungler to get kills and increase your lead. If you kill a key target, you could make the call for Baron.
+ Make extensive use of your Spark Surge to travel around the map
+ Coming out of the lane, you should want to be in a relatively strong position. Your burst potential is very high, and finding mid-game picks is a very viable option to further snowball.
+ Zeri can be susceptible to being punished, especially if you close the gap with your E- Spark Surge, as being a short-range ADC does come with its drawbacks.
+ Farming any available lane, whilst also beginning to take whatever jungle camps are up.
+ When Zeri does hit her one and two item power spikes, that’s when she can start to pop-off. Zeri thrives in situations where she can kite around team fights, constantly outputting DPS with her Q- Burst Fire and stacking up Overcharge.
Late Game
|
+ Stand in the backline with your Support so they can protect you. Be prepared to use your Ultimate as a self peel tool if necessary.
+ Just like in the mid-game, you should stick with your Support throughout the later parts of the game. Do not go around the map alone as you will die easily.
+ Do not play super aggressive in team fights. Just kite and auto-attack the nearest enemy champion. If you walk too far forward, the enemy will focus you and take you down.
+ Continue to kite in team fights and consistently adapt your positioning. Avoid standing still in fights as you’ll be an easy target.
+ Stand in the backline with your Support so they can protect you. Be prepared to use your Ultimate as a self peel tool if necessary.
+ Save R- Lightning Crash for big fights and try to maximise the uptime by constantly auto-attacking.
+ Snipe enemies with a terrain empowered E- Spark Surge
