I talked about why I liked Rabadon's Deathcap as the default 6th item, if the game situation allows it. However, if the enemy team is able to get to and kill you too easily, then you can pick from any number of defensive items to counter the most important threat. In the worst case scenario, you can pick Guardian Angel if you have to. I used to love getting Warmog's Armor on Soraka, because it basically let you cast heals indefinitely. However, the build described above probably won't give you enough health to get over the 3000 health mark.
Even if you can't get over 3000 HP I'm pretty sure Warmog's is stronger than Rabadon's on Soraka.

Like I said, it depends on the situation. However, there is some good news. At level 18 (which you'd probably be if you can complete a sixth item on a support), Soraka has 1855 health. Since Warmog's Armor has 800 health by itself, that means you need 345 health from other sources to get over 3000. eye of the oasis gives you 200 health, so that leaves 145 health to get from other sources. You can get that by going Banner of Command, Locket of the Iron Solari, scaling health seals, or if push really comes to shove the Elixir of Iron.
Another option to keep in the back of your mind is Banshee's Veil. For example, if you're up against an annoying Malphite who loves to ult directly into your face and delete you at the start of every fight, having the Banshee's Veil will allow you to not get damaged and knocked up by the ultimate and then you can cast your silence at Malphite's feet and laugh as your teammates delete him.

Your calculations are kinda useless because you took level 18 as starting point. For a support in mid-game, it's much better to take something like level 10-13. As a support I hit level 18 in perhaps 1 out of 20 games.
On topic: I kind of agree warmogs is a great item (used it a few times myself too) but it requires you to finish 2 items rather than one before it is useful. It's decent as 4th item or later, but before that it's pretty meh. I do prefer it over Rabadons as it is just as mediocre as a standalone item and costs way to much for a support.
Hey Guys! I have 2 questions?
1. What is better on Karma Support? Windspeakers Blessing (Keystone) or Thunderlords Decree (Keystone) ?
2. What is better on Nami Support? Windspeakers Blessing (Keystone) or Thunderlords Decree (Keystone) ?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings,
Eric

Really? I thought
Thunderlord's Decree
was better, due to the high poke damage these champions have. Maybe it is more situational than I had initially thought.

The context of the conversation was that we were talking about a 6th item on a support, which is a situation that is rare indeed. However, in those rare situations, you will likely be level 18 or close to it. Neither of us were talking about getting Warmog's Armor as the 3rd or 4th item. Or Rabadon's Deathcap for that matter.
Love seeing this thread back in action, I hope everyone can disregard my last post about some silly "Scaling Nami" build. I had only brought up the question because I saw a High-plat player dominating with a tear/mejais build. Though that was probably more due to his Macro plays, I forgot the name of the player too. Damn. Anyways, I look forward to learning more about the Support role from you all! Quick Question: Is Zekes still a good second/third item on Nami vs 3/4 Ad comps, Or is there stronger picks than that?
