Since I started playing League I wanted to try a viable hybrid build, but I quickly realised that hybrid builds suck and min/max is god. The synergy within AP items is too big and AD items scale too well with attack speed, crit chance and lifesteal, which in turn means you can't itemize for both.

In this thread I'll disregard all of that to think of the best hybrid builds for as many champions I can think of. I'll try to update the builds as much as I can in this post, so feel free to comment your own. They have to be playable (so no troll hybrid Garen builds), and hopefully a couple of them are viable.

Tentative hybrid champion list:

Miss Fortune: Both AP and AD scalings. The only thing that sucks is that her ult scales with crit chance too.

Akali: I guess she already has a hybrid-ish build, so I'll probably ignore her unless a half and half AD-AP build turns up.

Teemo: IDK why I always see all kind of troll builds on teemo. I've played him hybrid tank for a while now so I guess I'll just put my build here and see the feedback.

Ezreal: He scales with both AD and AP and doesn't benefit too much from crit and attack speed. I'm looking for something different than the blue ez + Zhonya's Hourglass situational build though.

Jax: Both AD and AP scalings all over his kit.

Kayle: Both AP scaling and autoattack reliance. I remember playing her adc for some time back in season 2.

Corki: Both AD and AP scalings and a passive 50/50 hybrid damage.

Kennen: AP scaling and autoattack synergy with Electrical Surge.

Hecarim: I remember seeing a hybrid Hecarim video from nightblue3, I may try it someday.

Hoping to see some hybrid builds posted here!

Hey, fun idea! Have you considered Corki and Nidalee yet?

As far as items go, I think Guinsoo's Rageblade is great on hybrid stuff.

Huh, I'm not very familiar with Nidalee nor Corki, I guess I just forgot they existed. IDK if nida makes sense, but Corki might do. I'll add them both to the list.

Also yeah, Guinsoo's Rageblade is great on on-hit hybrids like Kayle. It does scale too hard with on-hit effects though, which actually ends up in an attack speed + tankiness build with ambient AD and AP.

On a second thought, Nidalee doesn't have much reason to build both AD and AP, since her only AD scaling is in her Q, and it's not that great. I remembered more AD scalings in her kit...

I have been recently playing around with a Kennen hybrid build. So far i have had some great success with it. Normal build I used to use was S6 main build, full AP for his ult burst damage. I have found in S7 that it doesn't work as well. The items I currently use are:

Berserker Greaves
Nashor Tooth
Guinsoo's Rageblade
Rylai's Crystal Scepter

Last 2 slots vary:

Blade of the Ruined King
Luden's Echo
Rabadon's Deathcap
Zhonya's Hourglass
Abyssal Scepter

Although this is more Atk Spd like Kayle, with the BORK, I have great sustain and balance between AP and AD. Because of Kennen's passive and the 4th auto-attack from his W, I can usually keep someone locked down for a good while. This build also maximizes Cooldown Reduction, allowing me to stun opponents very frequently. I haven't seen anyone else try this yet in my battles, but if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

My Corki buildAlso you can go Luden's instead of Abyssal and get Void if your enemies stack MR.

Added the two builds to the OP. Sorry for the delay, I took my sweet time to revisit this :P

@ TidalWind49 IDK how I forgot about Kennen. His hybrid builds are mostly aa oriented but it's a nice champion for an AP/aa hybrid build (much like Kayle). I'd recommend having Zhonya's Hourglass as core though. Even if you have some sustain from lifesteal, the utility it gives in combination with the ult is too big.

@ Eiron Added! What would be the build order? I posted the build in the order that seemed most logical to me.

Huh, forgot about that one. I still can't get over the fact that she's mostly a support now.

If my memory and game knowledge are fine, I think a good base build should be:
Eye of the Watchers + Boots upgrade + Black Cleaver + Rylai's Crystal Scepter + some more ap/ad/tank items

No. The base build is Eye of the Watchers into Cleaver into Mortal Reminder into Liandry. Boots are whatever.
In some cases it's fine to go Mortal Reminder first and TBC second. Prior to the lethality nerfs, you could just buy any combination of lethality items and it'd still work.
To close the build, just buy more damage, probably in the form of lethality or something.
Credits go to The_Nameless_Bard for the sig!
