Ionian Fervor
Description
Irelia gains 1 Ionian Fervor stack for every enemy champion hit by her abilities, or if she hits at least one non-champion, stacking up to 5 times. Ionian Fervor lasts for 6 seconds, with basic attacks against champions and large and epic monsters refreshing the duration. How does it scale
Irelia gains 8% − 12% (based on level) bonus attack speed per stack, up to 40% − 60% (based on level). At maximum stacks, Irelia's basic attacks deal 15 − 66 (based on level) (+ 25% bonus AD) bonus magic damage on-hit.
Tips
Ionian Fervor Is the MOST important part of her kit and is what makes she win a fight and is also what makes Conqueror or Press the Attack so important for her. to properly scale as fast as possible you'll need Sheen and Tiamat. If you hit 5 enemies with Vanguard's Edge You'll instantaneously scale Ionian FervorBladesurge
Description
PASSIVE: Enemy champions and large monsters hit by Flawless Duet and Vanguard's Edge initial barrage are marked for 5 seconds, consumed with Bladesurge.ACTIVE: Irelia Dash dashes through the target enemy, dealing Physical Attack Damage, applying on-hit effects and Heal power healing herself. Bladesurge deals increased damage to minions. Bladesurge's Cooldown is refunded if the target was marked or if it dies to or after Bladesurge has been cast.
Tips
Bladesurge Is the second most important part of her kit. it applies On-Hit effects, that means it can apply Conqueror, Press the Attack, Sheen, Tiamat and many others. it is really important to have Sheen and Tiamat since Sheen's passive will allow you to one-hit a mage minion and while it's passive is on CD Tiamat's gonna deal damage to the other mage minions close to you and it'll allow you to spam Bladesurge on the poor minions even with Sheen in cooldown. i would also suggest you to use Bladesurge on some minions while you're fighting someone, since it helps you scale Ionian Fervor and provides a little bit of sustain.Defiant Dance
Description
FIRST CAST: Irelia Channeling iconwinds up for up to 1.5 seconds, during which she reduces incoming physical damage by 50% (+ 7% per 100 AP). SECOND CAST: After a 0.07-second delay, Irelia swipes with her blades in the target direction, dealing physical damage to all enemies around her and in a line, increased by 0% − 100% (based on channel time). The SECOND CAST activates automatically toward the cursor's direction at the end of the duration.
Tips
Defiant Dance is Irelia's defensive ability, so don't push it too hard to deal damage, it doesn't deal a lot of damage. only use it offensively if you really need to stack Ionian Fervor quickly. you can also use its range if you need to farm safely and is getting constantly pressured.Flawless Duet
Description
ACTIVE: Irelia sends a blade to the target location for up to 3.5 seconds. After a 0.15-second delay, [ability Flawless] Duet may be recast to send another blade out, and does so automatically at Irelia's position if the first blade would expire, though not if she is silenced or channeling Defiant Dance or TeleportTips
Flawless Duet Is an amazing skill, it can be used either agressively or defensively. you can even cast it while CC'd! it has a little secret trick; the closet the second conjuration is to irelia the faster it is castedVanguard's Edge
Description
ACTIVE: Irelia launches a barrage of blades in the target direction, expanding outward upon hitting an enemy champion and dealing magic damage to all enemies hit. After expanding, the blades drop on the ground, knocking all enemy units away from them, though not rendering them Airborne, and forming a spade-shaped perimeter around the enemy champion hit for 2.5 seconds. Enemies that pass through the blades are dealt magic damage and are slowed by 90% for 1.5 seconds. The perimeter will point at the same angle Irelia cast it from, but based on the target's center.Tips
Vanguard's Edge Whenever you ult 3,4 or 5 players try using Bladesurge in everyone that is marked with your passive, that's gonna allow you to heal a little bit of HP before diving into the fight and finish stacking your passive Ionian Fervor at the same time.Primary Runes
Conqueror in general is the best choice for Irelia because it can make almost impossible for her to lose an extended fight because it scales very well with her passive Ionian Fervor.
Press the Attack is also a viable option for her, but you would only choose it instead of Conqueror if you're in a matchup that the enemy can outscale you in extended fights. champions like Yorick, Darius, Fiora etc.
Secondary Runes
Each rune page has its Pros and it's up to you to choose what's best for your playstyle.
+ Additional Sustain + Faster Bursts + Additional Damage + Improved Scaling |
+ Less Mana Waste + Improved Scaling by a Lot + Better Roamings/Invades + Better Magic Resistance |
+ Less Punishing Pokes + Improved Sustain + Explode Turrets + Better Resistances |
+ Nullifies Pokes + Saves Gold + Additional CDR + Stronger Lane Phase |
Although Irelia has ton of combos and unlimited potential of getting better and yara yara yara she'll not only require a lot of micro but also a lot of macro in order to get a good result out of her. the most important skills and those are:
+ Knowing what items are better in each situation + Training, testing and discovering new combos with her + Being quick and precise about where's your mouse clicking + Having a good notion of last-hitting |
+ Knowing the right time to Team Fight and the right time to Split-Push + Constantly looking at the map in order to be a good split-pusher + Having a good idea of Jungle rotations get an advantege over invades. + Knowing when to roam & when to Teleport + Wave Management |
Laning Phase
Irelia's Lane phase can be pretty tricky, she can solo carry the game if she gets fed but it can be really challenging to get back to the game if once in disadvantage, focus in not dying. even if you don't win your lane you can still be pretty useful in the game.
Mid Game
Roam and Teleport as much as you can Irelia has one of the strongest Teleports of the game. use it wisely and be patient, help your team as much as you can and try to give them your advantage.
Late Game
In Late Game you can either Split-Push or Team-Fight depends on what kinds of champions there are in your team. if you're the only one whos strong in the game split-push as much as you can, you can easily 2 or 3v1 just don't get too excited. retreat if you need to and give your team calls. they can't read your thoughts.
