Hello, my Name is Razor aka Razorwire, I have mained Shyvana for 2 seasons now and I shifted to midlane a few months ago using a full ap build but over the past few patches a glacial build has been rising in popularity and it's really good as it provides nice setup but more to that later

The first thing I want to talk about why to even play Shyvana. Shyvana is a very cool champion imo with the dragon theme she has very high ap ratios and her kit feels nice for the most part but she is also a solid bruiser now on this build u will mostly play full ap so the first pro is:
-High Damage
-AoE Damage
-free resistances from dragons
-strong lvl 6 spike
-decent poke in lane
-easy time dodging skillshots with w/ movement speed
-no mana
-good roams

-she is a dragon


okay sadly this dragon also has some cons:
-most damage is a single skillshot
-immobile
-melee
-weak without ultimate
- Countered by Banshee's Veil, Spellshields, and other anti-projectile abilities


okay so with that covered, why midlane? She deals a ton of damage! She also synergizes well with supporting the jungler and in putting pressure throughout the map. Her level 6 power spike allows her to roam really effectively since casting it allows her to leap over terrain. Her high damage output also allows her to shred through dragons and heralds with little to no effort making it easy to rush objectives.

Okay let me explain the runes:
Due to shyvana not having any cc in her main kit and having to rely completely on her E because of the ap build, Glacial augment is the best option. It slows the enemies down making hitting her abilities really easy to hit, requiring little to no setup. Because the scaling on her E is so high, you can burst down your enemies while simultaneously removing their opportunities to run away.
Magical Footwear Increases kill potential as it allows you to chase more effectively due to the increase in movement speed.
Futures Market is the best out of the 3 on Shyvana as biscuits are used to restore mana and she doesn't struggle clearing minions
Cosmic Insight is very, very good as it gives u 5% cdr from the start of the game and cdr is insanely important on Shyvana as ur e cooldown is equivalent to your DPS

cheap shot adds extra true damage which increases your overall burst potential.
If you feel like you lack sustain then take taste of blood instead.

ingenious hunter is really good as it puts ur item cooldown really low to have the glacial items available every fight

minor runes:
If you don't plan on building passed 30% cdr, taking the cdr minor rune can give you that extra cdr at the cost of 9 adaptive. If you expect to hit all your skillshots take double adaptive for the slight up in damage. In a hard matchup taking double mr/armor can slightly help with sustain in lane.

To have the most success with this pick u should know a few things first:

always help your jungler do objectives (baron, dragon, etc.)
always contest since it's easy to steal with your ult+e.
remember that you don't always have to engage with ur ultimate

If you don't work with your jungler you lose a lot of power the pick has so always
keep that in mind and don't always ult offensively. You can also ult backwards and kite the enemy with your e.

P: Fury of The Dragonborn

Shyvana deals bonus damage to dragons and gain armor and magic resistance as shyvana and her allies slay more dragons she gains more manus armor and magic resistance

Q: Twin Bite

Shyvana strikes twice on her next attack basic attacks reduce the cooldown of twin bite by 0.5 secconds

Dragon form: twin bite cleaves all units in front of shyvana

W: Burnout

Shyvana surrounds herself in fire dealing magic damage per seccond part of this damage is applide again when shyvana basic attacks an enemy with brunout active the movement speed reduces over the duration of the spell basic attacks extent the duration of burnout

dragon form: Brunout grows in size

E: Flame Breath

Shyvana unleashes a fireball that deals damage to all enemies it encounters and leaves cinders on the target markin them for 5 secconds shyvanas basic attacks on marked targets deal a precentage of ther maximum health as damage on hti

Dragon form: Flame breth explodes on impact ar at target location dealing bonus damage and scorching the earth for a short duration

R:Dragons descent

shyvana transforms into a dragon and takes flight ti a target location enemies along her path take damage and are knowed toward her target location

shyvana passivly gain fury per seccond and gain 2 fury on basic attacks

dragon for enchances all basic spells

Shyvana is a very nice midlaner, she is fun to play and a cool dragon. Although she will be reworked in the future I just wanted to make a guide on the glacial build as there is no guide on it. I hope this helps and that you enjoyed it.
